PROLOGUE

~*Flash Back*~

Sango collided with the ground hard, sending her reeling over backwards and her weapon a few feet away. Then she heard that voice. "KAZE NO KIZU!"

Inuyasha landed on his feet, the Tetusaiga transformed into its red state. The hanyou peered down at her; a gentle smile etched his face.

"Sango, don't worry, you will be alright soon." His voice had called to her head.

`What, I don't understand. How was I beat… by that youkai? Now that hanyou was forced to protect me, not to mention Kagome-chan and Houshi-sama.'

Her mind went blank and her vision blurry as she was thrown into a black world of chaos.

~*End Flash Back*~

"Ohh… ouch." Sango bit her lip. Kagome placed another herb strip on her wounded stomach.

"Gomen nasai, Sango-chan. But you know, it wont heal as quickly without the patch." Kagome stated wearily as she threw back her head to cough in another direction.

Inuyasha sat in his normal spot, up a tree. And Miroku was stirring the fire with a stick.

The hanyou called over to the monk, "Feh… Miroku, what's the problem with Sango?" he jumped down to meet the monk behind the campsite.

Miroku shook his head as usual, "She is just being a normal woman. You saved her life, now she thinks she owes you something I bet."

Inuyasha wasn't thrilled with the answer and frowned, "Miroku, why did I even ask you?" He walked out from behind the tree and sat down next to Kagome and Sango.

A small breeze fluttered by the group as the proceeded down the road to a nearby village. Sango was riding Kirara, seeings how Kagome didn't think she should be moving too much. Like normal, Miroku was walking beside her, and Kagome and Inuyasha at the front.

"Aye, Kagome! Can we talk for a minute, alone?" Inuyasha asked stopping and scratching his head. Kagome parked her bike next to a tree and smiled.

"Umm… sure Inuyasha. You lead the way, I will follow."

Inuyasha parted a pathway through some shrubs and into a small clearing. He stopped once they were out of earshot from Sango and Miroku.

"Now what is it that you have to ask me? Is something wrong?" Her voice was cheery like normal.

Inuyasha shook his head and turned her around by the shoulders, "Kagome, is something up with Sango? She wont take her eyes off of me."

"Ne how am I to know Inuyasha?"

"Oh come on Kagome! I know that she has told you something! Tell me now… please?"

`Oh my, he used the P word!! Okay, I guess I have to tell him.' Kagome sighed deeply. "Alright Inuyasha, I will tell you, but try not to…you know, make her feel uncomfortable!" She gave him a stern look in which he nodded slowly.

The demon exterminator glanced anxiously over at the sleeping hanyou. `Gods, why cant I get him out of my head? He is a hanyou… part demon, Sango you baka! Remember, his kind killed your family…Naraku killed your family though Sango' the two voices in her head flared at each other. `Both of you!' She screamed back.

Shaking her head she flipped over on her other side sighing. `Now I feel all, weird inside. How do I have feelings for him when he is a half-breed?' her thoughts made her dizzy. Once again she rolled over to glance at him. `Well… maybe Kagome-chan is on to something…liking these… animals. Maybe, if I can get one…just once.' she was popped out of her world by Miroku groping her butt. ~WHAM~ A nice handprint appeared on his face.

"Jeez, its so dark in here Sango. I am sorry I didn't know you were there." He pleaded, trying to sound innocent.

"Houshi-sama, just…go to sleep!" He smiled at her and scooted back over to his corner.

Soon a slight snore was coming from the monk's corner. `Good, now I just have to get Inuyasha out…' Sango's mind was full of…unordinary thoughts…

"SANGO! Where are you? Come on, I know what's been going through your head! Get out here now!" Inuyasha yelled, a bit annoyed with the woman.

"Oh, Inuyasha." She called to him from behind. "Inuyasha, I wanted to thank you, thank you for saving me from that Spirit youkai." She wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

"Sango I…" Inuyasha grabbed her hands and gently tugged them off of his shoulders, turning to face Sango. "Hey, what is wrong? I mean, I know what's going on, but this wont work! Kagome is my only love right now." He frowned at her.

"Oh Inuyasha, you cant say that to me." She crept closer to his chest and slipped a finger down his smooth physique. "You saved me, that means, you have feelings for me… say that it is true, Inuyasha." Once again she placed her arms around him.

He looked into her eyes, sadness was all that shown through. "Sango…I…I cant love you. There is no way that can happen." She grinned at him.

"Oh no?" Gently she rose on her tip toes and looked deep into his amber eyes, getting ever more closer to his lips…
