On the road again
The Inuyasha gang walked along with their new member Katsuo following. They walked in silence, enjoying the calm and beauty of the area they were traveling in. They walked for hours, until the silence was shattered by the scream of a young girl. They looked up to see a young girl running towards them, followed by a group of thugs. When the girl saw them, she ran to them, tears in her eyes, looking very scared. “Help!” she screamed. She ran behind them and peeked out at the thugs who had now come to a halt in front of the Inu gang. “What's going on here?” demanded Inuyasha. “This girl here's been causing trouble with our business,” said one of the thugs, trying to look tough, but obviously intimidated by the hanyou. “Yeah, our boss doesn't need this girl trying to start a rally against our group,” added another thug. “Our boss is in control of the village now and anyone who tries to interfere is gonna pay with their lives.” The thugs brandished knives and began to circle the group. “What are we gonna do!” asked Kagome, sounding worried. “Please! Don't let them take me back to the village,” whimpered the girl. “Don't worry, we aren't handing you over to the likes of them!” snarled Inuyahsa. “From the looks of these guys, they're weak-minded simpletons,” remarked Katsuo. “There's no need for a fight,” he said stepping forward. “I'll handle them.” He spun around in a slow circle with his hand spread out, looking at each of the thugs and muttering words under his breath. Suddenly, the thugs eyes widened and they looked very scared. They all started trembling and a couple stumbled backwards onto the ground. They got up and ran away screaming like the devil was at their heels. Everyone looked after them, completely confused. “What was that all about?” asked Shippo. “What did you do to them?” asked the girl. “How did you do that?” asked Miroku. “What is this, 20 Question?” asked Katsuo laughing. “I merely created the illusion that we were monsters. Like I said before, they're weak-minded so they'll fall for that kinda thing.” “Hmmm,” said Miroku, smiling. “With abilities like yours, you could be a very valuable ally.” “So why were those men after you?” Sango asked the girl. “A couple years ago, the boss of those thugs came to our village. We are very poor and we don't have much to give. We were so poor and helpless, the boss was able to come in and take over the place. My father led rallies against them, until one day, my father was killed. I know it was their boss, Derio, who had him killed. Ever since, I've taken up what my father was never able to finish. But now, Dario plans to kill me to.” “Well, I guess we'll just have to help you then,” said Kagome. “That's right,” agreed Miroku. “We couldn't leave such a pretty young girl like you at the mercy of this Dario.” “Thank you,” said the girl. “You are all too kind.” “So what's you're name anyway girly?” asked Inuyasha. “My name is Keiti,” she replied. “Keiti,” said Miroku. “I know now might not be the appropriate time, but would you consider baring my child?” Keiti blushed and looked at the ground. Sango whacked Miroku on the back of the head and carried him away from Keiti. Katsuo, who had never seen this before, just stood there with his mouth hanging open, looking shocked. Kagome noticed and whispered, “He's like this to all girls. You got used to it after a while. Sort of.” “He's a bit of a pervert, but he grows on you all the same,” said Shippo, joining in on the conversation. “Let's just hope I'm not mentally scarred after this,” muttered Katsuo. Kagome and Shippo actually laughed at that. “Come on,” said Inuyasha. “Let's get moving. I wanna take care of these guys and get out of here quick!” With that, he walked on toward the village, leaving the others to run after him to catch up.
