InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A New Sibling ❯ Rodeo...!!! ( Chapter 14 )
Um…yeah…some serious OOC-ness going on in these chapters…Please forgive me!
Quote, quote, who's got the quote? I do!
"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas." -"Deep Thoughts" by Jack Handy.
Movie quote? Um…
"I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too! *Cackle, Cackle*" -Wicked Witch of the East from "The Wizard of Oz".

*Western Citadel*
Ayumu sat in her room as instructed until she heard a faint knock on her door. She got up and narrowly missed swerving into a chair in the dark predawn light.
When she reached the shoji door, she opened it and quickly motioned for the awaiting, cloaked person to step inside. Kagome and Sango, who were just walking around the corner, saw and decided to - yet again - eavesdrop on the conversation.
"It's been a long time, Ayumu." came a soft, whispery voice, barely audible to the two spies outside.
"I'm so glad to see you! Without you hanging around, this place is a nightmare!"
"Well, I had more pressing matters to attend to at the time."
They heard a rustle of clothing and two bodies sitting down.
"More important than finding the dingiest cell to lock Sesshoumaru in?!"
"What are they talking about?" Kagome looked over at Sango, confusion written all over both girls' faces.
"I don't know. Shhh…" Sango placed her ear back to the door.
"So," came the eerie, whisper-voice, "where is he now?"
"Probably in his study, doing his usually checking of various scrolls and the like."
"I would have guessed…"
Someone leaned forward and Ayumu's voice softened a bit. "So, how's the whole taiyoukai-thing working for you?"
"It's fine, but I did not come here to discuss my lands. I was hoping we could get right down to the fun parts…" the whisper held a sort of evil, menacing tone near the end of her sentence.
Suddenly, there was a rustle of movement and the shoji door flew open, causing the two spying humans to jump across the hall and land on their rears.
For a moment, Ayumu stared down coldly at them, but then continued on her way. She was closely followed by a slightly shorter youkai woman-child. This new youkai did not pause to look at them, but shot an ice-cold glare their way as she passed.
Kagome and Sango sat, bewildered, for a moment before glancing at each other and coming to a silent agreement. They weren't going to say anything. Besides, who wouldn't want to see Sesshoumaru locked up in a grimy, old cell?
~*~
`What is that? I know this youki…'
Sesshoumaru stood up and walked to the door of his study. He had decided to study his assortment of scrolls in his bedroom, but had quick access to the study through a shoji door.
He opened the door part way and stuck his head through to make sure everything was in order. Afterwards, stepping fully into the room. He needed another scroll anyway.
Just as he stepped passed the doorway, Ayumu and Suzuka stepped out from behind the bookcases to either side of him. Suzuka carried a length of rope, and Ayumu twirled a set of keys on her fingers.
Sesshoumaru froze mid-stride and was fixing to turn around and make a break for the door, but Suzuka yelled, "Quickly, Ayumu! He's trying to run!!!"
In that instant, he leapt for the door, but wasn't quick enough. And was soon knocked to the floor on his chest, hitting his chin - causing him to bite his lip and cut it -and got the breath knocked out of him. Suzuka started to cut a length of rope to tie his wrists while Ayumu sat on his shoulders, pinning him down with her legs on either side of his arms and pulled his wrists together for Suzuka.
"Get off of me!"
Both women ceased in their activities to look at him and replied in unison, "No!"
Sesshoumaru continued to struggle, but by the time he managed to sit up, Suzuka and Ayumu had already practically hog-tied him. His ankles, wrists, and knees were bound tightly with the rope and Suzuka had a white cloth in her grip, ready to gag him.
She looked at Ayumu and asked in a mock-sweet tone, "Why, Ayumu, would you like to do the honors?"
Ayumu glanced at the cloth in her cousin's extended hand, then at Sesshoumaru - who was glaring coldly at her and spouting off any insulting phrases that came to mind.
"Nah, you can go right ahead. I'll watch…"
She stood and smirked coldly at him, watching as Suzuka walked around to his back. Sesshoumaru - having practice from his childhood - threw his head back as she leaned forward to gag him. Suzuka went flying into the wall behind her, bleeding from a fairly large gash in her bottom lip.
Ayumu stepped forward, grabbing his hair and pulling so he couldn't try anything else. Suzuka stood back up and tied the rag around his mouth, quickly pulling her hand back when it scraped one of Sesshoumaru's fangs, causing her finger to bleed.
They stepped back to observe their handiwork. Ayumu grabbed the extra length of rope and bound Sesshoumaru's arms to his chest by simply wrapping the rope around him, leaving a few extra feet hanging behind him.
"Well, only one thing left to do now…" Ayumu walked over to Suzuka and dusted off her hands, twirling the keys about her fingers once more.
Sesshoumaru stared with undetectable fear in his eyes. `Just like old times…'
Suzuka took the extra rope behind Sesshoumaru in her hand and followed Ayumu to the shoji door that led to the hall, dragging Sesshoumaru behind her, hitting his head against as many things as possible (which was harder than she thought, because he had miraculously stayed sitting up right, but dragged him underneath his desk before leaving the room just to get one good hit on the back of his head.).
As the small `parade' exited through the doorway, they found practically everybody crouched outside, listening to the commotion inside. Seeing Sesshoumaru tied up and being dragged down the hall got various responses from each individual.
InuYasha fell on his side laughing with Shippo. Sango and Kagome were going through some giggling fits that made them look like they belonged in an asylum. Miroku was chuckling deep in his throat, trying desperately not to burst out laughing. The only one concerned was Kuzume who stood up and followed them, trying to convince them to release Sesshoumaru. She would have just cut the ropes off of him, but every time she tried, Suzuka jerked on the rope in her hand, causing Sesshoumaru to fly into a wall and hit his head. Kuzume quickly tried a new tactic - to the two older women's dismay - after a few attempts.
"Why are you doing this, Ayumu?"
"Djuk, fyuno."
"Kee! Su buchan!" Suzuka joined in, in her whisper of a voice.
(A/N: I give! I'll tell you what they mean at the end of the chapter!)
The four demons - followed by everyone who had witnessed Sesshoumaru being dragged from his study -- made it downstairs and to the dungeons. Ayumu walked up to a rusted, moldy, old door and unlocked it with one of the many keys on the ring she carried. She swung open the door, immediately covering her nose to block the foul odor that the cell omitted. Suzuka quickly tossed Sesshoumaru inside, letting Ayumu slam the door after she got out.
"You can't do that to him!"
"Eh em," she locked the door with a slight click, "oku Eh tyna shuch." Ayumu bit off the syllables and gave a cold smirk as she turned walked back up the stairs, followed closely by Suzuka - who stuck her tongue out at Kuzume as she passed her, bouncing after Ayumu when Kuzume took a menacing step forward.

*Suzuka's chamber*
"Who's the new girl? She reeks of Sesshoumaru's…attention…"
"That's because she is Sesshoumaru's proposed mate."
"I see…"
They sat in silence for a moment before Suzuka spoke again.
"You do not…accept her to be his mate?"
"I will accept her as what Sesshoumaru does when she earns everything that comes with the title."
"The title of `Lady' does carry quite a bit of responsibility, but that's not the only reason you don't accept her, is it?"
Ayumu lowered her eyes to the floor.
"No, it's not the only reason - not at all…"

"Ayumu, naki tam kyu doku?" - "Ayumu, how are you feeling?"
"Friyaku, sua?" - "Better, why?"
~ Translations from this chapter:
"Djuk, fyuno" - "Go, now."
"Kee! Su buchan!" - "Yes! Be gone!"
I think that's it! If I missed any, just tell me and I'll try to find them and put up the meanings A.S.A.P.!
Hope you enjoyed the chapter! Don't get me wrong, I love Sesshoumaru, but I thought it would be funny to tie him up and through him in a dungeon cell.
Oh, if you were confused why Kuzume doesn't speak that weird language, it's the native tongue of noble-born demons. But, she will be able to speak it if she ever becomes Sesshoumaru's mate. And that might happen when they rid themselves of Ayumu or get Ayumu's acceptance of Kuzume.
Those are just a few things to think about!
Happy Reading,
