Chapter Thirteen
They walked into a clearing. Sesshomaru and Kagome were in the front. Behind them were Inuyasha, Kikyo, Sango, Miroku and Koga. They were about to face off against Naraku. Sesshomaru growled low in his throat. He could smell Naraku's scent approaching. He quicky told every one to get ready. They all took their battle positions. Naraku arrived in the clearing, dressed in a white baboon pelt.
"So, looks like this is going to be quite the party, huh?" He smirked.
"You bet!!" Inuyasha roared and charged forward, drawing his sword, and slashing at Naraku. He managed to swipe the pelt away, revealing Naraku. The rest of his hits, though, missed. Koga joined the battle and managed to punch Naraku in the stomach sevarla times, before getting slammed into a nearby tree. Naraku rose a hand and hundreds of youkai came forth from all over the forest.
Sango threw her giant hiraikotsu and slayed several youkai in one strike. Miroku unleashed his wind tunnel, sucking in twenty or so youkai, before so,me strange bee like youkai started entering it and poisoned him. He ignored the pain and began fighting with his staff, though his movements were slowed. Kikyo fired several enchanted arrows killing many youkai also.
Naraku had knocked Koga out and wounded Inuyasha severly in the past thirty minutes. He had transformed into something, and hundreds of tenticles came from his body. Sesshomaru took his turn with Naraku, using his poisonous whip to slash away at the vines. This continued for ten more mintues before Naraku had slipped past Sesshomaru's defenses and wrapped the vines around him. Sesshomaru was completely covered in the vines. He couldn't move and he couldn't use any of his attacks. The vines had som kind of speel on them to stop him from ihs his powers. He was stuck.
Kagome saw how they were losing the battle miserably. Koga was up again, but he was wounded greatly. Inuyasha was too, but was in much worse condition then Koga. Miroku had stopped battling completely, the poison taking full effect. Sango stayed by his side, making sure he was safe. Kikyo was doing oaky, she had raised a shield around herself while she tended to Miroku.
Kagome's wings formed and she levitated off the ground. She was slightly nervous, but knew that she had to fight now. She pulled back on her glowing bow and released a wave of light strait at Naraku. He didn't expect it and the wave cut off the vines that were holding Sesshomaru. Kagome flew forward and the ow disappeared from her hand. She grabbed the naginata at her side and twirled it high in the air, bringing it down on Naraku. He dodged, but Kagome got his arm. A vine snuck up behind her and slashed at her side, blood spilled down. But Kagome ignored the wound for now. She kept on fighting Naraku.
Naraku slashed at Kagome again, this time hitting her in the other side. She fell to the ground as blood continued flowing from both wounds. She passed out. Naraku was about to finish her off, but something stopped him. Wind blades were flying at him from every direction. He frowned. "Kagura! You've disobeyed me again. I will kill you now!" He said, holding out his hand. A red orb appeared and he squeezed it tightly. Kagura fell from the sky in pain. She cluthced her chest and gasped.
Kagome's wounds healed instantly and she woke up, her whole body glowing. She sat up and saw Kagura on the ground, writhing in pain. She looked at Naraku, who was smiling cruelly as he continued crushing the orb in his hand. Kagome picked up her weaon and struck Naraku by surprise. From wrist down was cut off and Kagura's pain stopped. She retrieved the hand with the orb and grabbed the orb. She tossed the hand away and stuck the orb in her pocket. "You can't control me anymore, Naraku." She said.
Kagome smiled at Kagura, happy that she was now free from Naraku. Then she looked back at Naraku. Kagome flew at him, still glowing brightly. She slashed through him and cut him in half. Naraku screamed in agony and then his body turned to dust and flew away in the wind. Kagome landed on the ground as the wings on her back disappeared. She looked around at everyone and smiled. All the youkai that Naraku had sent after them were now dust in the wind like Naraku.
Kagome dropped her weapon and the bow appeared in her hands. She concentrated on her powers and shot it up in the air. An explosion hit the sky and bright pink lights scattered every where, falling from the sky. As they landed on her comrades, they began to heal. After ten minutes everyone's wounds were just memories. Miroku walked up to her and smiled.
"You sure have gotten stronger! Thank you Kagome. My curse is gone." Kagome thanked him and walked over to Sesshomaru.
"It's over."
"You did it Kagome." He smiled at her and hugged her tightly. Kagome hugged back. Meanwhile, Inuyasha had taken Kikyo in his arms and kissed her deeply, not caring that they had an audience. Miroku had taken Sango in his arms and began dancing around in excitement. Sango blushed deep red when he lowered to is knees and proposed to her. She accepted and everyone else cheered. Koga congratulated Kagome and Sesshomaru about them being mates and left. Kagome smiled at Sesshomaru. He kissed her passionately.
