Chapter 2 - Kagome Captured

(Six years later)

Maiyu sat down next to her mother with a sigh. She had just got back from eexterminating another demon and gathered a good chunk of gold from the rich lord.

"Here mother," Maiyu held the bag in front of Sango.

"Thank you Maiyu. Go and rest up. You must be tired." Sango sighed and remembered the first time Kohaku went on a mission. He never came back from it. She had buried him in the backyard of the hut. Sango felt a tear slip down her face as she pictured what Kohaku would of looked like if he became a man.

"Mom why are you crying?" Maiyu asked sitting down. She was dressed in a light blue robe with lots of tiny little flowers of jade woven into the material.

"Just remebering that's all. Where's your dad?" Sango asked.

"Um...I think he went to visit Inuyasha and Kagome, he asked me to come but I really didn't want to see Damon. It's been six years to this day," Maiyu sighed and looked at the previous spot she'd been training and than she looked at her hand. "Mom, I've got to tell you something..."

"What is it?" Sango asked.

"I've...I gave myself something..." Maiyu unwrapped the cloth around her right hand pointed it at the ground. It sucked up dirt.

"You didn't?!"

"I can control it. It won't get bigger..."

FLASH FORWARD (A month and a half later)

(Somewhere in the fuedal era)

"Hmm...now that the jewel of four souls is complete..." a woman with crimson red eyes watched Kagome kissing Inuyasha passionatly.

"Mistress Luna...the lord wishes words with you," a lepard youkai spoke, "Immediately."

"Very well..." her black hair flew in front of her face, "I really should put this up." She tied her hair up in a high pony tail and vanished. Inuyasha sensed the woman leave and growled.

"What is it?" Kagome asked looking into his eyes.

"It was nothing..." Inuyasha replied and went into the house.

"Damn! Just got him in the mood!" Kagome moaned and followed him inside the house.

(Slayers Village)

"Maiyu should be home soon," Sango paced up and down, "It's not like me to be worried." She felt a hand on her derrier, "Miroku, get it off before I slap you."

"Yes dear." Miroku moaned and looked out the village doors.

"I feel that something is wrong," Sango told Miroku, her voice only showing the little bit of worry. But deep down she held more worry.

"Something sinister is about to happen. I say we should talk to Kagome. Now, go and entertain our guests. Koga and Ayame are beating on Kenoga for some strange reason. Oh...I was too."

"Why?" Sango asked puzzled.

"He was kissing our daughters robes," Miroku replied.

"Maiyu is a beautiful young lady now, it doesn't surprise me," Sango grinned.

(Inuyasha's Hut)

Inuyasha was sparing with Damon while Kagome was busy preparing some soup for dinner.

"Honestly, Damon eats like his father! A PIG!" Kagome moaned and pulled the hot bowl off the fire. She dropped the bowl and sighed as she cleaned up the mess. The jewel rested in her body currently and she kept it there. Safe and sound.

She was really having trouble with her decision on who to leave in charge of the jewel when she passed away. Of course, she would live a longer life now that the demon blood of her husband flowed through her, but the problem was what if Damon lost control with the power of the jewel. Than again, there was always Maiyu. Don't get her wrong, she trusted her son, but the power of the jewel could be too much sometimes. It even got to her, but her strength never wavered.

Kagome heard a crack in the wood.

'Inuyasha and Damon must be done training,' Kagome thought and put down the soup. "Dinner will be ready in just a bit!" Kagome yelled. The person who stepped through the door was neither Inuyasha or Damon. The woman had black hair tied in tight pony tail, crimson red eyes, and a playful smile graced her lips.

"Kagome I presume...where is the jewel?" the smile faded. Kagome backed up and threw the hot soup at the intruder. She grabed her arrows and shot a purifying arrow at the woman. She simply dodged the arrow.

"What?! How could you dodge the arrow?!" Kagome gasped and fell on her ass.

"I've had practice...I've seen, I've watched!" The woman took a step toward Kagome, a malicious smile on her lips.

"Get away from me! INUYASHA! HELP!"

"I heard mom scream...let's go!" Damon rushed into the house followed by his father. Kagome was being carried away from the hut and was beating the back of a woman angrily.

"HEY! KAGOME!!!!" Inuyasha jumped through the trees after her, "Go get Maiyu, Sango and Miroku! NOW!" Inuyasha yelled.

"But..."

"NOW!" Inuyasha's screams died away in the forest.

"Fine..." Damon rushed off to the slayers village. Maiyu and Sango were already in uniform and Miroku had his staff ready. Kenoga and Saiyuri were there visting.

"What are you guys doing here?" Damon asked.

"You need our help right, well let me on your back and we can go. Saiyuri is carrying mom and dad is being carried by Kenoga." Maiyu got onto Damons back.

"Fine, let's go!"

"Kagome! Kagome! Where are you?!" Inuyasha raced though the forest when Damon and others caught up. The group caught a surfing wave thanks to Saiyuri's Holy Blast and caught up fast!

"Hey dad!" Damon said. "I say we split up, that woman's scent is spread out four different ways."

"Okay...me and Damon will take the road ahead, mom and Saiyuri can take the left path, Kenoga and dad can take the right, and Inuyasha can take the second path on the left."

"Works with me!" Inuyasha yelled and they all split up.
