Ok so this is my very first fanfic of any kind, though I am an avid reader. What I find odd though is the fact that I am not a big fan of song fics but that is what this one is I heard the song and just had to write the story in fact I have a couple of songs that I am going to write to. Also I am not a fan of Kikyo and Inuyasha pairings but this song seemed almost to perfect so I did it any way (sigh) well please enjoy my very first fic and also be honest about anything I can improve on (BRING ON THE FLAMES…. But only if you have too ) so with out any farther wait……

 

Oh Wait I forgot …. I do not own inuyasha or any of the others (me so sad) I also do not own the song which belongs to SheDaisy.

 

 

A Night To Remember

The sun was beginning to fade in the sky as he left her house. Trying to smooth out the wrinkles in his clothes he slipped in to the drivers seat of his black Mercedes. Reaching in to the glove box he pulled out a bottle of cologne and sprayed himself down. Even though it hurt his nose he laid it on thick before heading home to his wife….Kikyo.

He promised a night to remember
Oh, and she knows it will be
A happy little celebration
For their seventh anniversary

Kikyo climbed out of the shower and wrung out her long black hair. She studied her self in the mirror trying to decided what to do with herself. Inuyasha told her to be ready by sun down that he had a surprise for her. Kikyo hated surprises but she was willing to let him have this one… if only this one. Sighing to her self she heads to their bedroom to prepare.

Her new dress is cut a bit lower
Her lips a brighter shade of red
She spent all day setting those blonde curls
Tonight she's gonna knock him dead

Almost finished she thought as she hears his car pull into the driveway. A small smirk graces her face for a split second as she thinks to herself and remembers their wedding day.

She's gonna show him how
The fire's burning now
Her heart beats faster as she thinks back on that day

White surrounded her on all sides, she was so excited…and so young. Her father walked her down the aisle, her dress made soft rustling noises as she slowly advanced her stunning groom. His face was in absolute awe as he stared at her in the dazzling ambiance of the celebration. As she reached him his smile grew as the preacher started the ceremony. “You are breathtaking.” He murmured to her before reciting his vows.

 

When he vowed they'd stay together
To have and hold her in his heart
She promised him forever
Until death do us part
Sealed with a tender kiss
She can't help but reminisce and smile
No doubt, this will be a night to remember

He walks into the room and smiles, with a quick kiss on the cheek he runs into the bathroom to take a quick shower and get ready.

Taking her hand he leads he to the car, no words passed between the two. This though is not uncommon for the past few years. Sighing in his head, his mind wanders back to the warm embrace he left, this was going to be a long night of false pleasantries.

 

They drive to the top of the canyon
And pull right up to the edge
They have dinner up above those city lights
With a bloodless moon overhead

 

`Why is he thinking of her, why can't he at least give me tonight.' Kikyo's mind turns in slow motion as she reads his face. He is with that little tramp even when he is with her in body. Her whole mood seems to take a nose dive as she comes to this realization.

 

There's a distance in her emerald eyes
Her voice is a little cold

 

Noticing the change in her smell Inuyasha turns his ears towards his wife. She smells pissed he thinks to him self not really caring one way or another. He looks away and feels her heated gaze upon his face

As he takes another sip from his champagne glass
He wonders could she know

 

Looking at her coat she thinks about the letters she has stashed inside the inner coat pocket of her coat. How dare that woman, that whore try to talk him into leaving her after he vowed to be hers forever

Hidden inside her coat
Are letters his lover wrote
Her heart beats faster as she asks him to remember

Looking up from the coat she breaks the silence “Inuyasha, do you remember our wedding, do you remember the vows we made?” He nods slowly as he thinks back….

She can't help but reminisce and smile
No doubt, this will be a night to remember

The get back into the car he smiles at her as she leans over the console between the seats. Turning the car on he hears her start to whisper soft and slowly.

She whispers in his ear and tells him that she knows
She throws the car in gear, plunging to the earth below

He could only stare at he for a brief second in shock and horror as the car plunged off the cliff, the look in her eye was so full of hate and pain as she grinned evilly at him. “I will see you in hell my love.” She screams - his last thought was of Kagome and of the unborn pup she was carrying.

She whispers in his ear and tells him that she knows
She throws the car in gear, it blossoms like a fiery rose

He vowed they'd stay together

Love takes a fatal twist
