Chapter 2

Empress Kagome . . .

It was night by the time `they' arrived, and with them was a glorious ship that many pirates would be disgusted by. But due to pirates not being welcomed, Captain Inuyasha would have to settle for a brown wooded, white sailed cruiser.

"Dammit." He cursed under his breath, as he looked around at the people before him. All dressed like pretty boys, but somehow Sango didn't hold anything besides tremendous beauty. He admitted that she was beautiful, but not quite his taste. After all she was his sister, even without the silver hair and amber eyes. "Well men . . . and woman." Inuyasha added after seeing the glare Sango was giving him. "All to your places and no talking without the signal." Commanded Inuyasha. "And Sango and Miroku stay there."

"Yes, sir!" They all replied running to their places, while Sango stood in place along with Miroku.

"What do we do?" Sango inquired standing by the ships railing in protest of being touched by Miroku's amorous hand.

"Just stand facing the palace with Miroku, I'm still captain of this ship." Inuyasha answered walking to the top deck to control the ship.

Sango grumbled something as she turned around to face the palace, her eyes widened. `It's so beautiful . . .' She thought staring at the holy temple.

Miroku just smiled, putting a hand on Sango's arm. "Sure is beautiful." He whispered into her ear.

"Uh huh" Sango replied unknowing of the eyes on her.

"But not as beautiful as you . . ."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Sango threw him a dirty look. "Shut up Houshi-Sama."

"As you wish, Love."

"Dammit, Houshi-Sama! Shut up!" Sango hissed stepping on his foot with her heel.

"Owww." Miroku mumbled. "I didn't do anything."

"Bull shit!"

"Kagome, I want you on your best behaviour." King Higurashi told his daughter. "And be dressed in your finest, please."

"Yes, Father." she replied getting off her bed, and walking towards him. "When have I ever let you down?" She questioned, kissing him on the cheek and pushing him out the door. "Nobody told us that a damn ship was coming!" She hissed under her breathe pressing her back against the closed door.

She sighed, heading for her closet and pulling out a green kimono embroidered in golden nightingales. "I guess this will have to do, I'm sure not wearing that sickly pink dress!" Kagome said tossing the dress on her bed and slid out of her purple dress.

"I can't believe I have to dress for some foreign people on a damn ship!" She cried throwing herself on her bed, letting the cool air blow around her nude body. She sighed as the air cooled her temper. "I better get dressed, or Father's going to have a fit." She smiled as she slipped the green kimono on.

She marvelled at how beautiful she looked staring into the mirror, the green looked well on her and the bits of gold contrasted her skin. "Well this better knock `em dead!" She said tying the obi around her waist and sliding the door open and walking out her head held up proudly.

Meanwhile . . .

"Wow, look at the pretty castle!" Exclaimed a small kit who was looking out a small window with bright green eyes. "I can't wait!"

"Neither can I brat." Inuyasha responded to the kit's voice. `Can't wait to kidnap Empress Kagome.' He thought smirking.

Shippo stared up at the man who was smiling, or that's what it looked like to him anyway. But the only thing he would have thought the smile was for, was because he was happy to go to a castle and meet new friends like him, but Shippo wasn't stupid. Inuyasha was planning something.

"What?" Inuyasha snapped as he noticed the little kit's eyes on him. "What is it brat?!" Inuyasha asked again, this time with more force.

"Nothing." Shippo answered adverting his gaze to a broken beer bottle on the desk. "Hey, Inuyasha?"

"Yeah?"

"Aren't you supposed to be on the deck with the others?"

Inuyasha's eyes snapped open.

"Oh crap! Bye Shippo, bring you something to eat!"

"Bring some cookies and cake!" Shippo yelled after the young man who ran quickly up the stairs, it was a surprise he didn't fall down them like a certain monk had . . .

"Where the hell is Inuyasha?" Sango asked Miroku who was busily looking at the water. "What are you looking at Houshi-Sama?" Sango asked again, looking into the water, what she saw, I couldn't say she was pleased about it. "Dammit, Houshi-Sama. Keep your head out of the gutter and back onto what we're supposed to be doing!"

"Of, course Sango, Dear." Miroku replied smiling as he massaged the new bump that had formed on his head.

"Serves you right, Miroku!" Inuyasha shouted from his place on the top deck, steering the ship towards the harbor. "Land ahoy!" he yelled as the harbor came to view.

Inuyasha flashed a smile at the women and girls that stood at the harbor awaiting the ships arrival. He almost smirked as he saw one of the girl blush, after all he was a `Sex God'.

"Well the Captain seems full of himself today!" Laughed Miroku from his spot near Sango.

She smiled. "He sure does, but he really fit's well up there."

"Yea, he sure does."

"Well what do you think of the ship?" King Higurashi asked Kagome who was staring dumbfounded at it. Well first of all the ship was grand, and not only was the man who was supposedly the Captain, cute, well he had the most endearing eyes and the most beautiful hair.

"The ship is grand Father." Kagome answered, her eyes not straying once from the man that was still smiling and waving at the people before him. She smiled lightly, and of course he had to choose that exact moment to look her way.

She couldn't tell his thoughts about her, but the fact he was looking her way made a light blush creep over her cheeks.

"The Captain is very Handsome, don't you think Empress?" Yuka cooed to Kagome, who just smiled trying to conceal the blush that was slowly getting darker.

"Yea, I guess so." She answered, looking over to the Captain again. She almost felt utter disappointment that he wasn't looking her way anymore.

"Empress are you okay?" Erii inquired stepping in front of her and waving her hand. "Empress?"

"I'm okay Erii, Yuka . . . Ayume." she said smiling as she followed her Father to greet the ship.

Inuyasha almost keeled over as he caught onto an extravagating scent that made him burn with desire. He looked around, trying to figure who the scent belonged to. He smiled lightly.

It was a girl with sapphire eyes and long raven hair that swept past her shoulders, she was an exact replica of Kikyo, but instead of coldness and rejection, she omitted kindness, warmth and protection.

`Very beautiful.' He thought as he let the smile grow, but he couldn't keep it from forming into a smug smirk.

His eyes glanced to her side, and beside her stood the king. Tall, musclier . . . but Inuyasha wasn't one to look at a guy for too long, so he quickly changed his glance back to her.

His smile faltered as he noticed she wasn't paying attention to him at all. `Well, humans don't have the keen eye sight of demons.' He thought, pointing out one weakness all humans had.

His amber eyes snapped to the harbor where the kings men were already pulling in the ship and tying her up. His smiled assaulted his features as he noticed the girl with the king. The thought of her the reason why he was smiling had never even crossed his mind . . .
