Okay, now that all the boring stuff is taken care of, I just got a few things to say. First, I'm not the best writer and I'm not that persistant, either. I get bored easily and it might be awhile before I add more to this story. But I will do my bestest to get it finished before I turn 30 (which is quite a while away, btw)
Okay, Ima start the story now.
"Kagome, sweetheart, wake up." Someone gently shook Kagome's shoulder and she squinted up into her dad's face. She stretched and smiled a little.
"Sorry, Dad. I guess I'm a bit jet-lagged." She yawned and climbed out of the car. She followed her dad to the trunk to get her bags, and when she turned, she finally got a chance to see the house. She felt her eyes go wide and her mouth open in surprise.
The house was a big ranch style house with white walls. There was a large wrap around porch that had a few tables and chairs set along it. The house was set near a large wall of trees that were bright green and lush. The house itself was about four stories high and seemed incredibly large, but inviting. A woman with long brown hair and beautiful grey/green eyes was standing at the porch holding a baby in her arms. There was another boy, about 5 years old, behind her.
"Uh... Dad? Who's that woman?" Her dad said nothing, just put his arm around Kagome's shoulder and led her up to the woman.
"Arya, this is Kagome. Kagome, this is Arya. She's my wife- your step-mother." Kagome let out a silent gasp and, catching herself, smiled tentatively at the older woman.
"Uh... Hi... Arya." Kagome gasped as the woman pulled her into a warm, one armed hug. The hug pleased Kagome however, and she gave the woman a hug as well.
"Kagome! Dear, I am so happy to finally see you! Patrick talks about you and Souta all the time. Here, follow me-" She was cut off by the little girl in her arms starting to cry. "Oh, dear. I almost forgot all about you, little Delilah." She started rocking the little girl, and Arya looked at Kagome again. "This is my daughter, your half-sister, Delilah. The little one pulling on your jeans right now is Damian. Damian, why don't you say hi to your new sister?"
The little boy looked up at Kagome and gave a crooked grin. Then he said, "Hi 'Gome. I'm Damian." Kagome smiled down at him. Then she glanced up and saw the most gorgeous man ever. He had long silvery white hair and deep golden eyes. He was shirtless, and Kagome clearly saw each and every well defined muscle on his chest making her wonder what the rest of him looked like. Before she could be caught staring, she turned her eyes back up to his and saw amusement mixed with self conciousness and admiration looking back at her.
"Ah, InuYasha! I've been waiting for you." Kagome looked back at her father who waved InuYasha towards them. "InuYasha, this is my daughter, Kagome. I was hoping you'd show her her horse now?" It was obvious that her father meant it as an order, but he phrased it as a question to be more polite.
"Sure, Patrick. Follow me, Kagome." He gave a killer smile and started walking towards the back of the house. Kagome had to run to catch up.
"When you're done showing her the horse, why don't you show her her room, too!" Arya yelled at the retreating couple's backs.
When they reached the back of the house, Kagome gasped for the umpteenth time that day. She saw a black stallion standing near the gate and InuYasha began walking towards the horse.
"This... this is my horse?" InuYasha looked at Kagome again, and smiled.
"Yep. He's been broken in, but he still has his own spirit. He's fast too. I tried him out a few times." He grabbed the reins of the stallion and led him to Kagome. "He has no name yet, though. I figured you'd wanna name 'im."
Kagome gave the first grin she had that day and pet the horse. He turned his head and began nuzzling her neck making Kagome laugh. "Hmm. I think I'll name you Ciaran. It means 'Dark One,' I think." Kagome looked questioningly at InuYasha who smiled and looked kinda surprised at the same time.
"Yeah, thats what Ciaran means. I'm kinda surprised that you know some Gaelic names. Most people don't."
"Well, I've always loved Ireland. Maybe its because I knew this is where my dad came... Anyway, on a happier note, why dont you show me my new room? I'm pretty excited to see it."
"Allright. Its got an amazing view. I know that because Arya forced me to help decorate it." He grimaced and Kagome laughed. She could tell that she would like this guy.
Whew. 2 Chapters done. I think im doing pretty good, dont you?
