~It's All in the Past ~

 

 

Kagome lay sobbing on the ground “No don't do it! Please don't do it!” she cried.

 

 

“Why Kagome I thought this is what you wanted. After all you did say wished your Dad would go away and just leave you alone. He won't be able to bother you if he's dead,” Kagome stared up at him. He had her father gagged with his hands and feet bound, with a gun pointed to the back of his head. She started to sob even harder burying her face in her hands. `I did say that, but it didn't mean I wanted Dad dead.'

 

 

“T-that's not what I meant! I never meant t-this!” She sobbed, “P-please don't kill my Dad!”

 

 

“Well I guess it's too late now,” He chuckled and she looked up to see him pull back the trigger. The sound of the gunshot ringing in her ears as she screamed. She wouldn't be able to hear for a while. She glared up at him tears streaking down her face, he smirked letting her father's body drop to the floor, before saying something and walking out the door. She crawled to her father's body before throwing herself on him and sobbing into his chest, his blood quickly soaking through her school uniform. She stayed that way for the four hours until her mother got home from work. She hadn't been able to hear him but she knew exactly what he had said, he'd said the three words that made her blood run cold. See you later.

Two Years Two Months Later

 

 

Kagome glared at her reflection in the store window. Her eyes took in the sight of her messy black hair, her lip piercing and many ear piercings, her loose black t-shirt, and baggy black pants, before focusing on her eyes. They were her best feature, her brilliant sapphire blue eyes. Her father's eyes. She scowled before looking at the huge bags beneath them. She hadn't gotten any sleep the night before. She'd had that dream again and after waking up in a cold sweat she'd tossed and turned the rest of the night unable to erase the image of her dead father from her mind and fall back asleep.

 

 

She groaned and continued walking toward the school. `I just know I'm gonna fall asleep during class, and on my first day too. Figures.' As she stepped up to the school she read the sign `Shikon High. Ugh it's obviously named after that stupid legend. The Shikon no Tama, The Jewel of Four Souls. Oh how cutesy. I think I may just barf.'
