There are times where differences matter and respect matters more. A time when backgrounds mean everything and ancient money gets you the respect you need.

 

Two sides, two very different people, one love. What happens if you were born in to a side where love was forbidden for the other side? Would you give in and allow your friends to shun you away or give you disapproving looks? Or would you show them up and hold a very new relationship with that one person who would change your life…forever?

The mirrored wall reflected a young man checking himself before he left for the night. Simple white Adidas with dark jeans and a black shirt over a white one. Simple, yet very hot. Tan skin complimented his silver hair and dog ears and gorgeous amber eyes. A fanged grin reflected back at him, “Perfect.”

 

The door opened slightly and a small voice called out. “Master Inuyasha, your brother requests that you take less time to get to the car. He's in a hurry.”

 

Inuyasha grabbed some cash out of his drawer and stuffed it into his wallet and opened the door wider. “Thanks Anita. I'm leaving right now.”

 

“It's about time brother.” A cold voice drawled. “You're going to make us late.”

 

Inuyasha shut the passenger car door to the Porsche and buckled himself in. “Seshomaru, the club ain't goin' anywhere.”

 

Seshomaru peeled out of the drive way and sped down the street, glancing so often out of his rearview mirror for cops. He was wearing a blue shirt that hugged his muscles and sand-washed blue jeans. He also had silver hair and amber eyes, but he had no ears like Inuyasha, only a blue crescent moon on his forehead.

 

They were the Taisho brothers. Wealthy, popular, powerful and very respected. They were the son's of the Great youkai, Inu no Taisho. Though Seshomaru is full youkai, Inuyasha is only half. His mother was a human.

 

The Taisho brothers were known for their looks and attitudes. They did almost everything together, even though they made it seem as if they hated one another, people knew that they still liked to stick to each other.

 

Seshomaru is 18 and older by half a year, but he had got held back in his 5th year for assaulting a male teacher and got expelled from that school. Inuyasha is the middle child. He's 17 and both he and Seshomaru are going into their senior year of high school.

 

Shikon United High is a wealthy high school. Full of youkai, humans, monks and mikos. Those who do not have money to access the best of the best school, are usually there on scholarships.

 

Seshomaru sped through town and turned sharply into a packed parking lot. Inuyasha flipped his phone open and dialed a number. “Dog shit, its Yash,

Open up.” A grunt was heard on the other line.

 

Shining the car lights on what looked like a garage door attached to a building, Seshomaru watched a girl walk up a whole line of people to the bouncer with a few girlfriends and saw him allow them in with out hesitation.

 

“Sesh, go.” Inuyasha broke him of his gaze.

 

Pulling into the building, they noticed the there were about fifteen rich mobiles parked in spots. They pulled up next to the entrance of the club and parked in a reserved lot for “Taisho.”

 

Inuyasha got out and walked up to door and entered. The club was dark with neon lights everywhere and loud music with dancing people all over the place.

 

“Inuyasha Taisho, welcome!” A small green man greeted kindly. “You have a table reserved for you and Seshomaru.”

 

Inuyasha glanced down at the short man, “Jaken.” then nodded. Walking up the stairs away from the crowding area, he noticed some of his friends. Giving them a short recognition, he stared down over the balcony to watch all the horrible dancing humans.

 

Upstairs was for the rich, powerful and respected names of youkai. Only those who could afford or were well known could be allowed upstairs. Not even rich humans were allowed up.

 

Laughing a little, he watched one of his friends, Kouga Renmiles; dance dirty against a pretty human girl who wasn't sure if she should laugh or run.

 

“I can't believe he's even youkai.” Seshomaru sneered, looking down. His eye caught a certain someone in the crowd. There she was. Seshomaru watched the same girl who walked in to this hard to get into club easily, dance flirtatiously with another human male.

 

“Later baka.” He made his way down the steps.

 

Inuyasha shrugged him off and continued to watch down below. These girls are all so boring. We need some new girls to come to town.

 

“Hey, Inu-baby. How's it going?” A sexy whisper in his ear made Inuyasha sigh and turn around.

 

“Hey, Kagura.”

 

Kagura Onigumo was full youkai with black hair in sloppy bun with wisps of hair falling around her neck. Her face was flushed and it looked like she had just got done dancing. She wore a red tube top and a black skirt with heels.

 

“I haven't seen you all summer! School's starting in less than 3 weeks and you haven't called once. Bummer.” She said with a pout to her lips.

 

“Yeah, uh about that.” Inuyasha grinned. “I've been just, uh- busy.”

 

“I see.” She started to trail her polished finger against his neck. Her warm breath was tickling his ear. “Well can you pencil me in for just one dance?” She pushed her hips against his and her breast flush against his chest.

 

Being a man, he couldn't resist looking down at the cleavage in front of him. With a roll of his eyes, he led her to the dance floor. One dance and maybe I can get off easily.

“Maybe this isn't a good idea, Eri.” Said a girl around 17 hesitantly. She was wearing light blue jeans that fit her butt nicely and a turquoise corset top. Her hair was long, a shiny black, with loose curled ends and she had misty grey eyes. Her skin was a light tan and she looked simply terrified to be in a club.

 

“Oh come off it, Kagome!” Eri yelled over the loud music. “We traveled all this way from home just to dance here and so you can make some friends. You know you're going to school here in less than three weeks! I won't be there for you at that fancy pancy rich school.”

 

Kagome sighed sadly. It was true. Her grandfather was getting old and her mother decided it was time to help him with the shrine that had been theirs for ages. She was next in line for it anyway, she was a miko. Her mother never possessed the powers as she did. But that was a different story. She didn't really like telling anyone that she was a miko; it seemed either to terrify people or over-excite them.

 

Eri had taken her hand and led her into a path through the dancing people. A few guys stopped to gawk at her beauty, but Kagome just smiled kindly and kept walking. She was glad her best friend Eri had came with her, she was a bit more, well, fun and a risk taker.

 

“Oh my gosh, I love this song!” Eri squealed, dancing to the rhythm of the music.

 

Now even though Kagome was a pretty shy girl, there was one thing she wasn't afraid to do, and that was to dance. She just hated big crowds. Kagome got into it and started to dance and laugh with Eri.

 

Kagura grinded against Inuyasha and moved up and down his body, dancing rhythmically with the music. Inuyasha twirled her and grinded against her himself. Kagura moaned as he squeezed her butt and grinned.

“Inuyasha, you bad puppy.” She growled playfully. “You're getting me all hot and flustered.”

 

“Mm, yeah?” He played along. He could smell her arousal. It was tempting, but so was staying to watch a tornado. You just didn't do it.

 

“Inu-baby, come home with me tonight.”

 

“Can't Kagura, I'm busy. You wanted one dance, and you got it. But now I think I need to go.” He let her go and kissed her cheek. “See you around.”

 

“Hmpf.” She crossed her arms and pouted before turning away to find her next dance partner.

 

Going back to his table he took a swig of his energy drink and looked again down at the humans. They fascinated him actually. So slow, so non-alert. How could they even tell when danger was near? He knew what it was like to be human once a month, because he was only half youkai, a hanyou, and they turned every full moon. Most hanyou's didn't get much respect and they were shamed upon, but because he was Inuyasha Taisho, he was respected no matter what he was.

 

Inuyasha's eyes fell upon a girl dancing with another girl. One had short hair and the other had long hair. He was more interested in the longer haired one. She seemed so innocent, so pure. He wanted to dance with her.

 

Putting on a beaded necklace his mother had made for him containing a concealment charm, he walked down the stairs towards the humans as his ears and claws and fangs changed into normal ones. He knew humans knew about youkai and stuff but it caused such controversy that he thought it easier to be human while associating with humans.

 

“Excuse me?” Inuyasha smiled his winning smile.

 

Kagome turned around and faced him. She smiled sweetly and stopped dancing. “Yeah?”

 

Eri giggled and turned around and started dancing with some guy.

 

“Hi, my name is Inuyasha.”

 

Kagome held out her hand and he shook it. “My name is Kagome, nice to meet you Inuyasha.”

 

“Wanna dance?” He asked.

 

“Uh-sure.” Looking over her shoulder to get Eri's attention, she noticed that Eri just didn't care cause she was busy herself flirting with some older guy. Kagome rolled her eyes. Tease.

 

Inuyasha led her out towards the middle and they both started dancing.

He liked the way she moved. She was so delicate, so tiny. He palmed the small of her back and moved against her as she ran her hands through her hair, dancing side to side.

 

Her hips gyrating, she put her hand on the back of Inuyasha's neck and smiled at him. Slowly she lowered her body down his and danced back up, every so often grinding against his hips.

 

Pulling her flush against him, they moved together with the music. It was getting hot and Inuyasha just couldn't stop staring at the way her body fit so perfectly with his. Forehead against forehead, Kagome and Inuyasha gazed into each others eyes, not once missing a beat.

 

“You're good.” Inuyasha commented.

“Not so bad yourself.” She whispered.

 

Kagome dropped her head back and gasped softly, closing her eyes as Inuyasha trailed wet kisses down her throat and neck. Normally she would have slapped the living shit out of anyone who would have tried that, but with him, she couldn't. She wanted it. Badly.

 

Inuyasha sucked gently on her pulse and inhaled deeply, her scent was intoxicating. A sweet fragrance, vanilla sugar. Not expecting it, Inuyasha moaned softly against her neck as she pulled his hips against her, his hardening erection throbbing against her pelvic bone.

 

Finally the song changed and Inuyasha was relieved that it was a slow song. Holding on to her small waist, and her holding on to his shoulders, they danced slowly. So now what? They were complete strangers and already they shared some sort of sexual interest in each other.

 

“So,” He looked down at her, making small conversation. “I don't think I've seen you before, you live around here?”

 

Kagome looked up at him. A small blush upon her flawless skin. She obviously was thinking about what had just happened. “Naw, I live a couple hours from here. I'm just kind of visiting.” He didn't need to know she was moving here, it's not like she was going to see him again.

 

“Oh cool.” He screwed up his face in thought. Why the heck am I all word dumb? I can't even think of anything to say. Think Yash, think.

 

“So what is there to do for fun around here?” She asked him, still trying to get the image of him and her out of her mind.

 

“Huh? Oh well lets see. There's the cinema, the dance clubs, the uh…beach, park and um…I dunno really. Not much I guess. You just kinda have to make your own fun. Well you are a girl, uhh, so I guess you can count the shopping. We have like three different malls.” Uh duh duh uh…retard. Man why am I sounding so stupid?

 

“Hmm, fun.” Kagome smiled. “What do you like to do?”

 

“I like to have fun in anyway. I'll do anything.”

 

Kagome and Inuyasha talked and laughed some more before the DJ announced that it was hitting two A.M and that the club would be closing.

 

“Hey, Inuyasha, I had fun. Even though you completely stole me away from my friend.” Kagome giggled.

 

Inuyasha grinned. “Hey, well how long are you staying in town for?”

 

“Another two nights, why?”

 

Inuyasha held her hand and started to lead her to her friend. “I was wondering if you'd have dinner with me or some thing.”

 

“Oh!” Kagome gasped lightly. “Um,” She ran her hands through her hair. Eri was behind Inuyasha and apparently had heard the whole thing because she was jumping up and down and nodding her head fervently. “Yeahh…” Kagome glanced once at her friend again and then turned back to Inuyasha. “Oh yes, I would love to.” Another smile graced her pink lips.

 

Inuyasha smiled this time. “Great.” Taking out his phone, he took a picture of her and handed it to her. “Enter your cell and I'll give you a call.”

Kagome did the same.

 

“See you later, Kagome.”

 

“Bye, Inuyasha.”

 

Inuyasha left the club staring at his cell phone. She seemed so different from other girls. After what just happened, she didn't throw herself at me…

This should be interesting.

 

Kagome walked with Eri to the car as her friend was babbling really fast about Inuyasha and some guy she met and that Kagome was really lucky to be going here because the guys were much hotter and so on. But Kagome wasn't really listening. She was staring at Inuyasha's picture on her cell phone with a slight smile on her lips. Inuyasha…what have I gotten myself into?

“No Eri,” Kagome was pacing back and forth through her new room that wasn't even fully unpacked yet. Her cell phone was against her ear and shoulder and she was rolling her eyes every other minute. “I don't care, it just doesn't seem right.”

 

“Oh come on Kagome, you know your mom won't care.” Eri argued to her friend through the phone.

 

She sighed. “Eri, it's not just that, it's just-I really don't wanna go. Please don't make me.”

 

“Oh fine. You party pooper.” Eri gave up.

 

“Besides, that's like 2 hours gas outta my way. You go have fun tonight, I'll come by some time next week, k?”

 

“Ya know Kags; I can already feel the sucky-ness of you moving to another city. Well whatever you do there, be safe and have fun. I'll see you sometime. Bye!” Kagome sighed in relief as her friend and she hung up the phone.

 

Opening a box that said `BED', she unpacked her blankets and comforter. Her mom had bought her a king size bed and she was pleased to see that it fit perfect in her new room, considering the fact that it could have been a master suite.

 

While she finished putting her sheets on the bed and started on her blankets, her cell phone rang. “Oh Eri, please don't ask again.” She muttered. Looking at the screen, her heart sped up. Inuyasha's charming smile lit up the phone.

 

“Hello?” She tried to sound like she had no idea who was calling her.

 

“Kagome?”

 

“Hi there.”

 

“Hey, it's Inuyasha Taisho, you know, the guy you met at the club a couple nights ago?”

 

She wanted to giggle. Jumping on her bed and laying down, she clenched her teeth to stop her sigh and squeaked out, “Hi.” Oh crap, I sounded like such a little girl!!!

 

Inuyasha kind of chuckled on the other line. “Hi. What are you doing?”

 

“Nothing really, you?”

 

“Not a thing. Hey what are you doing tonight?”

 

Kagome's heart started to pump blood to her head and she felt her face blush. She knew what was coming. “Um, I'm not sure. What are you doing?”

 

“How about-” That came out a little higher than he wanted. Inuyasha cleared his throat. “How about dinner tonight?”

 

Kagome bit her lip from laughing. He sounded so cute. “Yeah, I'd like that.”

 

“Yeah? Okay, how about 7:30?”

 

“Sounds good.”

Kagome hung up the phone with him after giving him directions and screamed excitedly into her pillow. It was only 4:30 and she was already worrying. Oh my gosh, what am I going to wear?!

“So tell me baka, why again are you going out with a pathetic human girl?” Seshomaru asked dully.

 

Inuyasha was standing in the doorway of the cold refrigerator, allowing the cool air to sweep across his body. “Why is it so god damn hot in here?”

 

“Its summer, and don't change the subject.”

 

Inuyasha grabbed a water bottle and shut the door. He started walking down the hallway but stopped long enough to answer. “Why do you care, asshole?”

 

“This Seshomaru does not care about your idiotic half-breed doings, he is just simply curious.”

 

“Well. Between me and you,” Inuyasha grinned. “She's hot. Why not make some use out of her before she leaves out of town. Besides, it's not like I'd take some human for my mate.”

“Rather disgusting baka.” Seshomaru glared. “Fool, you will learn the hard way if you think like that. You'll get in trouble one day, and I will be not be surprised if you can't dig yourself out of your grave when that time comes.”

 

“Feh, whatever.” Inuyasha rolled his eyes and walked down the hallway to the stairs to his room. Good thing he didn't ask any other questions. How retarded does he think I am? Does he really think I'd do that to some weak human? I may be part demon, but I ain't that cruel…

 

7:00. I should be leaving in a few minutes. Inuyasha had just finished brushing his teeth when he looked at the clock. For some reason that he couldn't understand, his stomach felt like it had just been through a roller coaster. Calm down boy.

 

Picking up his phone, he made one last call before he left the house. “It's Inuyasha Taisho. Make sure I have a table for two in the back away from public eye. Make it look nice too. Late.” Snapping his phone shut, he took one last look at himself in his mirror.

 

His silver hair and amber eyes, the few things that made him, him. His fangs, claws and ears were missing. The beaded concealment charm necklace his mom had made for him was around his neck and he smiled slightly. It's not like she needs to know I'm a hanyou, I'm not going to see her again.

 

He wore a red long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. Grabbing his keys and jacket, he headed out to his car.

 

Kagome checked herself over in the mirror. She hoped she didn't look too dressed up. She wore a long sleeve off the shoulder light pink shirt with a white mini flared skirt and white short heeled shoes. Her tan legs looked long and lean and she kept trying to pull the skirt down a bit. Her hair was curled and her eyes big and bright from the mascara and frosty eye shadow the complimented her color.

 

A knock on the door downstairs made her heart jump. He's here! She smacked her lips that were coated in a light pink gloss and hurried downstairs.

 

“Bye Mom! I'm leaving!”

 

When Inuyasha driven up her drive way, he swallowed hard. “Shit,” He said to himself. “This ain't just a human girl…” He stared up at the large shrine and landscape. “She's a Miko.” You're in trouble…

 

Kagome opened the door and closed it as fast.

 

“Am I not going to meet your parents?” Inuyasha chuckled. He tried not to stare at her too much. But he couldn't help it, she looked absolutely stunning.

 

“Nope!” She said quickly, grabbing his hand and leading him to his car. She let him open the door for her and she hurriedly buckled herself in.

 

Inuyasha started the car and glanced at her. Why can't I sense her? I can sense anything.

 

Driving down the road, he started to make small conversation. “So, you're a Miko?”

 

Kagome's heart dropped to her stomach. “Actually, the shrine belongs to my grandfather. My mother and I are helping him out since he's kind of old.” Please, no more questions, no more questions!

 

“I see.” Inuyasha said, trying not to sound suspicious, but he didn't say anything else. Okay, well then maybe she isn't one. Even if she ended up being one, it's not like anyone else would know about her, I'm only going to spend time with her until she leaves. Then it's over. Also she can't sense me with this concealment charm on. Too powerful.

 

 

Inuyasha led her into the restaurant he had called and the waiter had led them past all the people and to a more private area. “Where are we going?” Kagome asked.

 

He smiled. “You'll see.”

 

The waiter opened up the French doors leading out to a balcony. Kagome gasped. It was their owl little patio over looking the bay. The area was lightly lit with scented candles and red tinted lights draped over the building. A small table for two was decorated in good china and glasses with a centerpiece of rose petals in a bowl of water and a candle floating inside. The sky was black with shining stars and a yacht was brightly gleaming with its lights on across the ocean.

 

“Oh my gosh, Inuyasha…” Kagome trailed off, in awe of the scene. “It's beautiful.”

 

“Miss.” The waiter held out her chair, but Inuyasha growled low. Luckily Kagome didn't hear or notice when the waiter's eyes widened and quickly exited the area muttering his apologies.

 

“Here you go Kagome, let's sit.” Inuyasha tucked her in to the table and then sat himself.

 

He watched her as she looked over her menu and his insides leapt. I hardly know this girl and I've felt like I've known her forever. What is she doing to me?

 

Kagome blushed when she caught the now pink faced Inuyasha staring at her. She giggled. “Thank you Inuyasha, for this.”

 

“Feh, it was nothing.” There was a little gruffness in his voice. He was embarrassed and he tried hiding it.

 

They seemed to talk for hours about everything. (they strayed from there heritages and the fact that he came from a youkai family and that she was a miko.) They laughed at the embarrassing moments at school and past boyfriends and girlfriends.

 

“I can't believe he did that!” Kagome laughed.

 

“Yeah I know! And then he kicked me out when I laughed at him!” Inuyasha chuckled.

 

There was a silence for a second. They took the time to look at each other. She looked at his eyes. They were the most unique color she had ever seen. He's so gorgeous.

 

Inuyasha watched her face very intently. Her features were out of this world. In a way, she looked like her. But there was such a difference in their personalities and aura that he let it slip from his mind. He watched as she smiled and broke the gaze. She was so innocent and pure. She was almost perfect.

 

Suddenly, without letting her realize, he sighed sadly. If she knew what I was, I'd scare her off. He shook it off and laughed inwardly. Keh. What the fuck do I care? She'll be gone the day after tomorrow.

 

Kagome gasped as she checked her cell phone. “Oh Inuyasha, we should probably get going. It's 11:00.”

 

Gathering their things and waiting for a second while Inuyasha paid, they finally made it out to the car and drove to Kagome's place.

 

“Inuyasha, I had a wonderful time tonight.” She smiled warmly, staring into his eyes.

 

“I did too.” Inuyasha looked down at his steering wheel. Well, he was never going to see her again, right? Might as well have one more night of fun with her tomorrow. “Hey do you wanna do something tomorrow, you know, before you leave?”

 

Kagome bit her lip and thought about it. After a couple seconds she looked at him and smiled sweetly. “I'd like that.”

 

“Okay, I'll call you tomorrow then.” Inuyasha got out and opened the door for her.

 

Getting out, she started walking up to her door. “Okay. Good night,” She paused and grinned. “Inuyasha.”

 

“Good night,” He watched her leave. “Beautiful.”

“So how'd it go, baka?”

 

“Shut it, bastard.”

Seshomaru grinned. “Ah, I am guessing that she hit you when she found out what you were? Makes sense you know. Not many smart humans, if even they are allowed that much, would date a youkai, and especially a half breed as yourself.”

 

“Can it, Seshomaru. You have no idea what the fuck your talking about.” He snapped. He opened his bedroom door but before he entered, he paused and said with a grin, “She liked it.” He closed his door.

 

“Disgusting.”

 

 

 

 

 

*First Inuyasha story, give me a break. Inuyasha might sound “Not-like-Inuyasha” right now, but that's only because he just met Kagome and doesn't want to scare her off….don't worry, once they get to know each other, the REAL Inuyasha that we all love will come out!
