A Thought Away

Disclaimer: If I owned it, I would say and wouldn't be writing this FAN fic. Do you understand? In other words, I don't own InuYasha or any of the characters. Except for Jea, who is the housekeeper/maid.

"Time does tell and even if they say so, he'd be the one who would know that I did do what I've done. And I wouldn't call it cheating, I just say I was leading him on, why walk while I run away. You ask me what went wrong. Me, I'll write you this last song. Please just tell me one way we could win. One more thing before I go. Two the one who loves me so. Three, don't make me count to three again………" {this is `Happy Endings' by the All American Rejects. I kinda changed it. Instead of she I changed it to him. You know what I wonder? Tyson sings these terribly sad break up songs. But how could anyone break up with TYSON?! That just pisses me off. He's too adorable to break up with. "Hey Tyson {if your reading this} I'm available!"}

"Gabi, could you stop attempting to sing? It's really getting on my nerves! Damn………hurry on with your babbling. I don't have all day!" Eurelle screams.

"Blah, blah, keep on whining. Like I have all day? Though I wish………" I say with thought.

"Just get it on with." Eurelle persists.

"Fine, here you go!"

*~*~Kagome~*~*

"Remember, crying is never the solution to anything. You have to be the one who's is valiant. Think of ways you can put yourself up, never down. Wishing, and procrastinating will never bring you anywhere, stand up for what you believe in, don't let anyone take your dignity………no matter what it takes. Do you hear me, girl?" Sesshoumaru's amber eyes pierced to Kagome's midnight blue eyes. He could see tears swelling up, and the fight of keeping the tears in her eyes.

"What about you Sesshoumaru? What can I do when you're gone? Though I don't want to face reality, that you may not be always here. And what are you going to do if I'm gone? Will you often think of me?"

"Of course, I will often think of you………you are so hard to forget. Memories are precious and keep them deeply engraved in your brain. Don't ever think of death. Death is just a practice of a deeper sleep, you can't feel pain."

"Yes, pain is difficult. Memories are soon forgotten. But the ones I spend with you, I keep." Kagome kissed Sesshoumaru. They stood by themselves in white room with no doors or anything. Just Kagome in her old sailor/school girl outfit, the way she was the first time she saw him.

Sesshoumaru was holding Kagome's fragile hands, with his left hand while with his right he was holding his Tensaiga tightly. "I have to go. They are calling for my aide. I will come back for you. Promise. Don't leave. I swear I will be back. Do you believe me?"

"I believe you with the deepest corner of my heart. Come back, and stay alive. Promise to never leave? Or if you do, and come across a new lady, remember me and what you once had."

"Kagome don't think of things like that! I promise."

"Sesshoumaru! Where are you going? Why are you fading away? Come back!" Kagome screamed at the top of her lungs. Instantly she saw him disappear.

"Kagome, you must live for me………" Kagome heard a whisper. She figured that it was Sesshoumaru.

"Live for what?" Kagome instantly felt an arrow through her back. She fell on her knees on a cold floor. She felt like she was suffocating.

"Poor innocent Kagome. As you can see, I just took one of your arrows and aimed at you. You understand that we all will die sooner or later. But I have decided your fate and thought that you should die earlier. I have taken all your powers completed the Shikon No Tama and now I am ruler of all the earth and universe. I am practically a god. You are now carrying my child. I knew sooner or later you would be useful. Right my empress? Now say you are happy with me and I will spare your life." Naraku said monotonously.

"Never, you stole my dignity! You son of a bitch. Quit your manipulation. It's not going to work for me. I don't have your kid, and never will. So get away before I kick your so called godly ass out of here. You are not emperor of the world and I am not your empress. You are only lying to yourself. Face the truth Naraku, you're nothing but a weakling. You're so conceited, that you can't face the truth. You can't even look at me. Stop pretending."

"No. You are nothing but a foolish girl. Thinking that Sesshoumaru the great lord of the Western Lands will take you back. Be contented with what you have. Your great lord is with another woman. Here take a look." Naraku shoved the opal mirror into the kneeling Kagome's arms. She watched mesmerized.

`Hum, I wonder why Jea is dealing with little kids.' Kagome thought to herself as she stared.

"My beloved wife. Look at how healthy our children are growing. I knew leaving Kagome would be a good thing. I was pretty positive that she wouldn't bear any sons, who would be heir of the throne. But Jea, I didn't know that you were youkai. Now our children will really be powerful. They will bring us great fortune." Sesshoumaru whispered in Jea's ear. Jea kissed him on the lips, and he kissed back.

Kagome dropped the mirror. She stood in shock. She couldn't believe in what she saw. "This can't be happening. What is going on?!" Kagome screamed as she tried to stand herself up. She winced at the pain.

"Face reality my dear. You have no use anymore. That's why I intended to end your life earlier. So you don't have to face the truth. Yes, reality is cruel. There are no such things as happy endings. All things must come to an end. You should be happy that I didn't show you the rest of the truth. Goodbye dear Kagome. Your days are done."

"I will not give up. I need the rest of the truth." Kagome collapsed on the floor again. "I love you Sesshoumaru………be there for me. Live for me. Enjoy the rest of your life, with your wife and children. Remember me always. May my spirit live." Kagome tried to speak, but only came out as whisper. She closed her eyes for the final time.

Kagome panted on her bed. She always dreamt of these strange dreams. She felt her forehead and saw that it was sweaty. `Where am I? Oh yeah, I'm locked up in this coop of a house. Whoa. That was an intense dream. Is that the future? No. I cannot play games with myself. That was Naraku. His manipulation is always so tempting to believe. But I cannot believe in that. Jea nor Sesshoumaru would ever do that.' Kagome rubbed the morning out of her eyes and watched the bright sun through the window. `At least I have one good thing out of this place.' Kagome stretched and shuffled her way out the door into the dark hallway. Sadly, she bumped into Naraku, since she was so deep in thought.

"Good morning, my dear. How are you feeling?"

"Feeling like crap………just like you." Kagome took her bow and arrows from the pouch in her back. She aimed and pulled but didn't let go. Naraku was moving back.

"Ah, your spirit arrows. Seems like a weak weapon, but from many experiences before, the bite of the arrows is bitter. Are you sure you want to kill me?" Naraku just grinned.

"No. I'm not that stupid. Let's have a deal. Agreed?"

"Fine. What is the deal and the consequences?"

"You get me out of this coop, and into the Western Lands, and I won't kill you. Agreed?" Kagome giggled inwardly.

"Fine. Agreed. Follow me." Naraku sighed. He was defeated.

They were out of the large doors. Walking through the forest. 20 minutes later.

"Naraku. I'm tired. Let's get a drink."

"Fine."

An hour later they reach the castle. Jaken invites Kagome back in as she races to Sesshoumaru's chamber………

*~*~Sesshoumaru's Chamber~*~*

"Where am I? What's going on?" Sesshoumaru instantly got up from his bed. He winced from the pain of his wounds healing.

"Now, now. Calm down Sesshoumaru. You're in your castle, safe and warm. Do you remember anything that happened to you?" Jea said warmly.

"Yes. I do. Ooh shit. Where is Kagome? The ass hole of a monkey took her. I have to go find her."

"Calm down. She's probably going to come back today. You're to weak to go."

"Weak my ass. And what's up with the whole `calm down' shit. Are you sure your not hallucinating?" Sesshoumaru walked his way to the hot spring. A servant was following him.

*~*~At The Hot Spring~*~*

Sesshoumaru undressed from his robe (A/N: any color you would think looked good on him.), removed his bloody bandages and walked his way to the hot spring. He commanded the servant to pour Epsom salt. He cringed from the stinging of the salt. His sensitive ears picked up a voice. It was getting closer and closer.

"Sesshoumaru? Sesshoumaru? Where are you?" Kagome sang. She passed her room and greeted Jea with joy. They hugged each other. Kagome finally broke the hug and asked if she could take a bath. Jea took her new kimono and bath oils. Kagome wrapped herself with a thick towel.

"Oh goodness………Jea I think we should leave. Sess-sesshoumaru is in the hot spring………I don't think we should disturb him………Jea! I'm naked………well not really but it's embarrassing………let's go!" Kagome tried to dash off until………

"Kagome! Is that you? Who are you running from? Didn't you want to say hello?" Sesshoumaru said sternly.

"Ah hee………well, I was going to use the hot spring but you're there and so I decided I should take a nap. That's right taking a nap." Kagome said shakily as she hid behind a wall. "Whoa, that was so close." Kagome whispered to herself. Unfortunately, Sesshoumaru had ultra sensitive ears.

`Why is she lying to me? Her voice is so obvious. She's hiding something from me. What is it?' Sesshoumaru thought to himself.

"Kagome. Get to the spring immediately! You're hiding something aren't you?" Sesshoumaru growled.

"Oh shit. I'm really in trouble. I also forgot he has ultra sensitive ears! SHIT SHIT SHIT! I can't go like this………" Kagome said a little too loudly.

"What? GET OVER HERE NOW!" Sesshoumaru was now furious.

"Fine." Kagome walked timidly.

"There you are. Was there something you wanted to say?"

Kagome stared at the nakedness in front of her. `Man, he really is a stupid idiot.'

"Uh, no Master Sesshoumaru. What happened to you? Your wounds are terrible!" Kagome replied.

`Oh damn it. I'm naked. I really am such a baka. I might as well invite her in.'

"Would you like to take a dip?"

"Uh, it's okay. You're occupying the spring. I'll go next time."

"I swear I won't peek."

"Like I could believe you."

"Come on. I have something important to say."

"Fine. Don't peek. If I catch you your in for it. I'll help you tend your wounds."

"IF you catch me!" Sesshoumaru replied with sarcasm.

Kagome took off her towel and dived into the spring.
