Chapter8 - Kagome and Riona

Kagome entered the bathroom to find Riona pointing at her "If you are going to stay please move, if not, leave, because once I put up the wards you won't be able to."

Kagome looked at the door for a moment then said, "I think I may be safer in here then out there."

"Then, step away from the door." Riona mumbled something Kagome couldn't hear. The door glowed red for a moment then returned to normal. "I give up on those two. I don't know what Lord Inutashio wants me to do with them."

"If his thought process was anything like those two, who knows?" Kagome said trying to read Riona.

Riona on the other hand just kept stripping down for her shower, muttering to herself.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Kagome asked.

"I just don't understand how somebody can get so bitter. The Sesshoumaru I knew was happy, not cheerful mind you, but caring. He smiled a lot of the time."

"I can't even imagine Sesshoumaru smiling. Those two words don't even go together," Kagome said disbelievingly.

"I don't know what could have happened. Actually, I have a good idea of what happened I just have no proof."

"What do you mean?"

"Don't worry about it. I'm certain I know some information that would be more interesting to you." Riona said changing the subject.

"Such as?"

"How about how a certain hanyou used to refuse to go to bed unless his father, his mother, and myself were there and we could not leave until he was asleep."

"You're joking!" Kagome was incredulous.

"No. I remember one time his father was called away before he fell asleep. You would not believe the hissy fit that happened. I have the same word of command for Inuyasha as I do for Sesshoumaru, and I'm glad that it doesn't let up until I say so. I had never seen his father as mad as he was when he got back. Poor Inuyasha, he wasn't allowed outside for three weeks."

"Inuyasha, indoors for three weeks? How did he survive it?" Kagome asked.

"The question is how did we survive it?" Riona shot back. "It was supposed to be a full month but nobody thought that they or the palace could handle another week of him under foot."

The girls both laughed.

"O.K., Kagome, your turn. How did you meet those two?"

"Well, that's kind of a long story."

"I plan on taking a long time in here."

"If you really want to know," Kagome then went through the story as best as possible. By the time she was done Riona was out of the shower and dressed.

"Sounds like you have been through a lot so far and I'm guessing that there will be a lot more to come. Do you think it's safe to go out there yet?"

"There's only one way to find out, but I'm not sure that I want to look."

"I'll go first then," Riona said as she took the wards off the door.
