A/N: LOOK!! Woohoo! I did chapter two!

Chapter 2: Moving to Japan

~* At The Higurshi House *~

The next day, the phone was ringing non-stop. Kagome had watched her mom take all the things that reminded her of Mr. Higurshi. After an hour of the phone ringing, Kagome finally answered it.

“What?”

“Kagome. Let me speak to your mother.”

“She doesn't want to talk to you.”

“Kagome, put her on the phone or you're grounded!”

“Kagome! Hang up that phone right now! Pull the phone cord out of it and help me pack.” Her mom yelled.

“Bye dad.” Kagome hung up the phone. “Pack? Where are we going?”

“Japan.” Was her mom's response as she headed to her room.

“Japan? Are we visiting grandpa?” Kagome asked, afraid of the answer.

“No dear. We are moving. I don't want to be here. We will have a better life in Japan.

Just like we would have if we didn't move here.”

“But mom. We are almost done is school. Can we at least wait til school is over?”

“I cant be here anymore. Kagome, I'm sorry. You kids can finish school in Japan.”

“Mom.”

“Kagome. Don't argue with me. I'm not in the mood for it.”

“This is so unfair!” Kagome stormed out.

She stormed out of the apartment and down the street to find Anna. She wasn't paying attention when she walked right into someone else. She fell to the ground and broke out into tears.

Kagome?” A familiar male's voice asked.

“Go away.” She said standing up.

“Kagome, what is it?” He grabbed her shoulders so she couldn't run away.

“Just… Leave me alone!” She tried to get away.

“Kagome, stop fighting with me.” Kyle tightened his grip. “Tell me what is wrong.”

“No, leave me alone.” She struggled to get away.

“I'm not letting you go.”

“I think the girl wants you to let her go.” A voice said behind him.

He was wearing a red baseball cap with long silver hair flowing out of it. His hat was pulled down so low so you couldn't see his eyes.

“And I think you should leave my girlfriend and I alone.” Kyle said coldly.

“I'm not your girlfriend.” She replied realizing why Summer dumped him.

“I asked you last night.”

“Doesn't mean I said yes.” She struggled. “ Now let me go!”

“No!” He tightened his grip.

Inuyasha sensed she was feeling pain and he felt anger boil as she sensed this.

“Let her go!” He growled.

“Leave me and her alone. And don't try and fight me!” Kyle growled back.

Kagome struggled again. This time, Inuyasha grabbed Kyle by the collar. Kyle let go of Kagome as he was held up in the air.

“Lets fight, anyway.” Inuyasha smirked.

He slid his hat up so Kyle could see the flashes of red in his eyes. Kyle smiled nervously and tried to get away.

“Maybe fighting isn't the answer.” Kyle squeaked.

Inuyasha let him drop onto the ground. Kyle fell onto his side, stood up quickly and went running.

“Thanks.” Kagome said drying her tears.

“Are you ok?” He asked caringly.

(A/N: Yes he IS sweet right now!!!)

“Yes. I'm fine. Thank you again.”

“You're welcome.” He replied.

“My name is Kagome.”

“I'm Inuyasha.”

“Inuyasha? What a weird name for an American.” She looked up to where his eyes would be hadn't he pulled his hat back down.

He laughed. “I'm not American. I'm here for a wrestling match against Naples High.”

“Oh.. Well, good luck. That guy you were about to pick a fight with is the captain at Naples High.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, so good luck. Anna and I might go to that match.” She said, forgetting that her mom wanted to move as soon as possible.

“You go to Naples High?”

“Yes… I do.”

“That's cool.” He pretended to act cool.

“Right.” She said walking past him.

He suddenly grabbed her and held her close to him.

“Meet me here after dark tonight, please.” He whispered.

“O.. ok.” She managed to get out.

He let her go and she walked away.

The sun had just set. The sky was still shades of oranges, pinks, purples, reds, and yellows. Kagome waited by the door til she could see the stars. She quickly stood up and walked up to the door.

“Kagome, where are you going?” Souta asked as he taped up another box.

“I'll be right back.” She lied and walked out the door.

Inuyasha stood there as he waited. Tomorrow was the match and then he was flying back

home. Miroku and Sesshomaru were already back at the hotel, getting a goodnights rest. Just then, he smelt her. He turned around to see her standing there.

“Sorry it took a while. I live kind of far.” Kagome said.

She was breathing heavily so you could tell she was running.

“Its fine.” He replied looking out to the water again.

“Shouldn't you be resting for the match tomorrow? Or at least informing the captain of

Kyle? He is actually a really good wrestler.”

“Sounds like you have feelings for Mr. Captain.” Inuyasha joked.

“Not anymore. I did until today. But then I saw why Summer dumped him. That and I found that I like someone else.” She said coming up closer to him.

“Oh, That's cool and don't worry about the captain. We can handle anyone.”

“If you say so.”

“I do.” Inuyasha smiled.

They stood there for a couple of minutes before she heard Souta calling her.

“Oh, I have to go. School in the morning.” Kagome turned to leave but he grabbed her arm.

“Be there tomorrow and meet me after the match. We can talk for a little while.” He smiled and brushed his lips against hers.

“Ok.” She whispered as they pulled apart and she went to find her brother.

The next day in school, Anna noticed Kagome wasn't there. At the end of the day she was walking out of the building to see Kagome there.

“Kagome! Where have you been?”

“I have something to tell you.” She said sadly.

“Is everything ok?” Anna asked worriedly.

“Well, I'm---”

“Kagome!” Inuyasha cut her off not realizing she was talking.

He still wore the red hat. This time his hair was tired back.

“Inuyasha… Hey.” She said as he came up and kissed her.

“Don't forget you promised to be at the match.”

“I will. Good luck!”

“I don't need luck. But Kyle might.”

“Why do you say that?” Anna asked.

“Because I have a good luck charm.” He gently rubbed Kagome's cheek.

She blushed as Anna smiled at the cute sight.

“Yo! Captain! Get your ass over here!” Miroku yelled.

“And Miroku calls. See you after the match.” He kissed her cheek and ran over there.

“Kagome. You wanted to tell me that you have fallen for the Captain?”

“Yes but no… I wanted to tell you that after my mom found out about my dad she called

my grandpa.” Tears formed in her eyes.

“So?”

“We leave this afternoon… Anna, I'm moving to Japan.” Kagome began to cry.

Anna cried with her for a good ten minutes. After that they dried their tears, hugged, and then decided to go watch the match. The matches were all tough to win. The teams were tied and it was time for the captains. They took their place on the mat and got ready for the fight.

“Oh, so we meet again, Kyle.” Inuyasha smiled.

“You… I'm gonna kill you. You took Kagome away from me.” He whispered.

“Kagome doesn't like you.”

“After today, you wont be here to protect her.”

“That doesn't mean you will get her.”

And the match began. The anger filled the room. They fought not to win for their school but for Kagome. (A/N: I got lazy and will put details in later) Finally, Inuyasha pinned Kyle and his team won. Some people cheered. Miroku, Sesshomaru, and the rest of their team all ran over to Inuyasha. Congratulating him and cheering about their victory. As everyone began to leave, Kagome and Anna stayed there, trying not to cry again about the move. Inuyasha looked over at her, she seemed to be sad. He walked over to her as he heard Anna say.

“You will write me everyday right?”

“Of course I will”

“And when summer comes around we will find a way to visit one another?”

“Definitely!”

“Ok… Oh, I hate goodbyes!” Anna began to cry, got up and walked out.

Kagome felt tears running down her face as Inuyasha came up.

“Goodbyes?” He asked confused.

“I'm… moving… to… Japan.” She sobbed.

He was about to hug her when her mom came into the empty gymnasium.

“Kagome, Its time to go.”

“Ok.. Mom.” She managed to get out.

Her mom walked out. Kagome then turned to Inuyasha.

“I guess… this is goodbye.” She said.

He didn't say anything. He took her in his arms and kissed her passionately. When the kiss broke, Kagome sat there in shock, but then her mom showed up again.

“Kagome! Now! The plane leaves in two hours!” She said impatiently.

“Ok mom… I'm… coming..” She said again.

Her mom walked out again, leaving Kagome and Inuyasha alone once again. Kagome stood up, not saying a word to him, and headed for the door… it really was goodbye.
