Chapter 1. The Demon Prince

“So Sango is the girl back yet,” asked the Demon Prince slowly.
“No my Lord,” the slayer replied.
“She is returning tomorrow,” the kitsune added.
“Shall I greet her, my Lord?” the dragon said showing his fangs while smiling.
“That won't be necessary dragon, I will pick her up,” the Prince said coolly.
“By yourself!?” The kitsune asked alarmed.
“Shippo I can handle it!” when prince said that his eyes went red for a second.
Then the Demon Prince walked out of the throne room with out saying anything.

He the Demon Prince was wearing a kimono that was made out of fur of dark demon rat. It was all black expect for the spots were you could see his white under kimono. He had long silver hair and a pair of dog ears on top of his head. He had long claws and fangs and eyes that were a golden color. His eyes showed no emotion and were so cold expect when he talked of the girl they would glow with an unusual light.

When the Prince was out of ear shot the dragon sighed, “So who's with me in following him?”
“I will!” Shippo shouted.
“He's crazy if he thinks we will let him go alone,” the slayer giggled.

It was the middle of the night and everyone was preparing for the battle ahead. The slayer was visiting the cat demon Kilala with the kitsune. The cat demon was in a depression that never seemed to end. The risen was that her whole pack was killed by a bear demon that possessed a shard of the jewel that the prince and his partners sort. They had been searching for the shard when they found the blood soaked cat. It had fought for its life and its tribe. She was the last of her kind.
“When do you think she will be better?” Shippo asked.
“When she realizes she must go on,” the slayer said knowingly.
“When did you get over it?” Shippo asked.
“I never really but I am happy that you and the rest are my friend,” the slayer said smiling.
“I don't remember my mom or dad,” Shippo muttered out.
“Well just think of us as your family,” the slayer said smiling.
“Thanks Sango!” the kitsune said with a grin.
“Well we should get going back to the castle,” the slayer said taking a last looking at the demon cat again who sat there staring at the wall.
“Should we still leave her in the stable?” Shippo said concern etched in his voice.

The stable was on the castles grounds. It itself was large enough to fit seven elephant in it comfortable. The castle was HUGE it had so many rooms that the prince himself hadn't seen all of them yet.

“Yeah, she'll be fine,” the slayer said dusting off her pink and green kimono (they were sitting on the floor watching Kilala).
“Ok lets go,” Shippo said waving at the cat demon before jumping on the slayers shoulder.
“Bye,” the slayer said closing the stable door.

The Demon prince sat on his king size bed (which he never slept in) in his room.
`Why do I care??????!!!!!!!!!!' he thought to himself. Lately he had been thinking of the human girl. He thought about her smell which was a flower and strawberry smell. He thought about the one time he saw her bathing when he went to kill her. It was weird the thought that he the `Demon Prince' couldn't kill her. 'WHY' he screamed in his mind `If I would of killed her I won't have to worry about the stupid wolf collecting shard…. but I would have a problem with finding the shards so having the girl may help' he finally convinced himself. `Why do I torment myself she will never look twice at me I'm a disgusting half breed who couldn't even save his friends,' ` I HATE HER,' he finally decided.

The dragon sat alone by the fire in the library. He was really only half dragon. He could disguised himself as what looked like a full human but when he got mad or annoyed his eyes would flash gold (which are blue any other time) and when he was in battle he could turn into a big black dragon with purple wings and gold eyes. He also blew fire in ether form.
He read every book in the library and was rereading his favorite `Beauty and the Beast' it told of a beautiful girl falling in love with a monster. 'Like that would happen,' he snorted and smoke came out of this nostrils. `Like anyone could fall in love with a monster, only in fairy tales,' the dragon was really talking about himself. He may have been a flirt, but when a girl found out he was part dragon they would leave him in disgust. He knew the prince went through the same thing, not expected by demons (for himself dragons) or humans, a half breed. 'No one can love a half breed a…a…Monster,' he thought looking onto the fire, a single tear running down his cheek.

The slayer laid in her bed with the little kitsune laying next to her curled up. 'Why did you die Father? Why did you leave me? Is Kohaku still alive?' The slayer let silent tears roll down her cheek. She loved living with Shippo and the others but... She missed her family. Her parents died when she was six's and she was on her on for a while when the prince had found her. He let her live there with Kohaku until one day she and Kohaku went for a swim by the lake. The lake was by the castle and she went under for a second and…. and, it was so hard to say, he was washed away by the rapids. She looked for hours for him with ever one but he was never found. It still haunted her till that day. She wondered if he was dead or alive. `Please let him be alive and happy he was never meant to be to the life of a demon slayer' that was the slayers last thought before she went to a deep slumber.

The kitsune lye awake hearing the slayer cry herself to sleep knowing he couldn't help her. `I wish I knew what to do'. Shippo had lost his family when he was so young he didn't remember them. It was sad but he needed to be strong. He had to be strong for the prince who had some many problems with himself and an ice cold heart and the dragon who thought of himself as low as dirt or the slayer who needed to find herself and her brother.' I have to be strong,' was what he said to him self before he, to fell asleep.

They all woke up early that morning.
“So today's the day,” the dragon said sighing and taking a bite out of his muffin.
“Yep,” the slayer said.
“Why does he have to be an idiot about going?” Shippo asked.
“Because he's the `Prince' and we are the `loyal subjects', who are supposed to do what ever he says,”
“But the plan was we go into a mini battle with her friends and he steals the girl,” the slayer sighed.
“I guess he doesn't want us to get hurt,” Shippo said
“Maybe he plans to do something `improper' with her!” the dragon said laughing and slipping his hand where it shouldn't go on the slayer.
“GET YOUR HAND OFF MY BUTT YOU PREVTED MONK!” the slayer said slapping him.
“HA!” the prince said when he came into the kitchen.
“Wow you slept late,” Shippo said grabbing a muffin.
“I wasn't sleeping I was thinking,” he grumbled back.
“Get the medicine out he was thinking,” the dragon laughed.
“SHUT UP!!!!!!!!! You fuckin' perv.,” The prince said throwing his muffin he picked up from the basket on the table.
“Now, now settle down boys,” the slayer said grabbing her self a muffin.
“Ah a child is in the room,” Shippo said in a adult voice.
“Shut up you little wimp,” the prince said bonking him on the head.
“Wah he's hitting me,” Shippo said with fake tears coming out of his eyes.
“STOP ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!” the slayer screamed.
“MAKE ME!!!” the prince screamed.
The argue continued.
