Prelude to Chapter One

The fangs slid slowly and deeply into my neck but yet they didn't hurt. I could feel my heart slow as he drank my blood.

My pale hands held on to his back as he bit deeper. I whimpered, not from hurt but from the pleasure he was giving me.

It seemed that his fangs held a sort of aphrodisiac. My hands climbed to his neck and slid through his sliver hair as he lowered me onto the canopy bed.

I watched him pull away from me slowly and run his tongue over his now blood-covered fangs. He lowered his lips to mine and slowly started to nibble on my bottom lip. He pulled slowly away only to lower himself to whisper into my ear.

"You are mine!"

I awoke with my heart pounding and my chest heaving. My long raven hair now covered with sweat. I slid my pale hand to my neck to feel if the marks were really there. I knew if Inuyasha found out about my dreams he would just laugh but they had been coming more and more lately and getting more erotic as they came.

This time he actually bit me. Before it was different, he teased me, not really going so far as to bite me. I realized this creature sounded like a modern day vampire but yet he was youkai. Did vampires exist in Inuyasha time? I'll have to ask him.

I looked slowly up at the tree Inuyasha was now sleeping in. If I could only tell the hanyou how I really feel about him, about everything. Then maybe I could remove this fear from my heart that someone was after me.

What I could not understand was why did I like it? It was as if I wanted him to bite me. As I stared up at the blanket of stars that twinkled above me, I felt the tears course down my cheeks. What I did not realize was that Inuyasha was watching me.

~ Inuyasha ~

Why does she cry? Every night she wakes up from some dream touches her neck and then cries. I wish I could hold her and tell her everything is going to be okay. But if I do, she will think I have changed my mind about Kikyo and I must go to hell with her. What secret is Kagome keeping from me and what secret is my stupid brother keeping from me as well? He told me there was more to our family then I knew. What the hell was he talking about?

I hate him and his almighty ways. Inuyasha closed his golden eyes as he thought back to that particular fight, if you could even call it that.

~ Past ~

Inuyasha slowly pulled tetsusaiga from it's sheath but yet, his brother just stood there as if Inuyasha could not touch him.

"Inuyasha, I have just come to notify you that our family is not what you or I thought it was. I would prefer you, to the news I have discovered."

With that, I watched my youkai brother turn and disappear as if he had never been there.

~ Present ~

I know I will not like the secrets they are both hiding. I just wish there were a way for me to protect Kagome from whatever is bothering her as well.

Inuyasha jumped swiftly from his tree and started to run through the forest hoping that he could relieve a little bit of his frustration on the forest.
