Chapter Seven

Getting Closer

*Mansion*

As Yasha and Kagome were walking back to the mansion, Yasha is trying to keep his face from revealing any pain. He didn't want Kagome to worry about him. After all, she should be the one to be afraid of him, since Kag saw Inu Yasha's demon side. Yet to Yasha's surprise, she didn't seem to fear him at all, instead she seemed to trust him.

*Out side the mansion*

As they neared the mansion, Inuyasha felt a stab of pain rush through his body and he could no longer hold himself and collapsed onto Kagome. Kagome, on the other hand, could not hold all of Yasha's weight and collapsed to the ground. She tried with all her might to get up, but couldn't so she did the next best thing since they were right outside the mansion of Yasha's she screamed for help. "SANGO, MIROKU HELP!" Kagome screamed as loud as she could.

*Inside the mansion*

Sango is sitting on the couch next to Shippo, watching a movie, while blushing from embarrassment and anger all at once. A couple minutes ago, Miroku just got done trying to grope Sango's, but and that resolved into Miorku getting slapped across the face. So while Sango and Shippo are watching the movie, sitting comfortably on the couch, Miroku is laying on they floor in immense pain. While his hand's are twitching.

"SANGO, MIROKU HELP!"

"That sounded like Kagome!" Shippo shouted as he jumped off the couch and ran outside the mansion, not bothering to wait for Miroku or Sango.

"Come on lets follow Shippo!" Sango shouted to Miroku. Miroku nodded and pulled himself up off the floor and ran after Sango.

*Outside the Mansion*

Kagome is trying to get Yasha to wake up, but couldn't.

"Kagome-Chan! Are you all right!?" Kagome looked up and saw that Shippo had her cries for help and gave him a faint smile. Once Shippo was close enough for her to talked too him. "Shipp I need your help getting Yasha inside the mansion. Do you think you could help me?" Kagome asked him.

"Don't worry, Kagome. Since I am a Fox Demon, I can transform intoanything!" Shippo said in a confident voice as he gave Kagome one of his brightest smiles. Kagome smiled at Shippo and ruffled his hair slightly. "I'm sure you can." Kagome said to him.

Then Sango and Miroku appeared running up to Kagome. "What's wrong with Yasha?" Miroku asked in a worried voice. As he was taking deep breaths of air since he just got done running. "I will tell you everything once we get Yasha inside the mansion." Kagome said in a strained voice.

*Yasha's Bedroom*

Yasha is now lying on top of his queen-sized bed. The bed has sheets that are the deepest shade of red that Kagome has ever seen they were silk along with his pillow cases that were there to match his bed sheets. Yasha's walls were the same shade of color as his bed sheets. There next to the left side of his wall at the foot of his bed a few feet away is a desk with a computer that is near that window. Then aside from that on the other side of his window, there is a Wide screen T.V. with built in DVD and VHS. Next to his wide screen, there is a wooden shelf that all most looks like a bookshelf, but its not. It holds all of Yasha's DVD's and VHS, but mostly his DVDS.

Once they had Yasha in his bed, Kagome had explained to Sango, Miroku, and Shippo about how Yasha got hurt so badly. They all nodded in understanding and thanked Kagome for bringing him back to them. Miroku put a hand on Kagome's shoulder and said, "Kagome you might be the best thing that has come into Yasha's life." Without another word, he along with Sango and Shippo left the room so that Kagome could tend to Yasha's wounds.

Yash is laying on the right side of the bed while Kagome is tending to his wounds. Kag gently slid Yasha's shirt off of him as to not wake him from his deep slumber. While she was doing this her face turned as red as Yasha's bed sheets which is pretty red. Kagome has a basin with warm water sitting on top of the nightstand that is next to the bed, along with a washcloth and new clothes.

As Kag attended to his wounds, she took quick glances at Yasha's peaceful state.

"I don't know why Inuyasha but I trust you and the others." Kagome said to the sleeping Yasha. Kagome continued to wash away the dried blood she had failed to notice that was in the corner of his mouth. What she had failed to notice, once she looked away from Yasha's face, was that he had opened his eyes and now there are a pare of amber golden eyes looking up at her with a soft smile grazing his lips.

When Kagome turned from rinsing out the washcloth from the basin next to her, she jumped in surprise that Yasha was staring at her. Her eyes stared down at the washcloth as if it where an interesting object and she has a soft blush that appeared on her cheeks.

"Thank you Kagome." Yasha said as he lifted his left hand and brought it up to her face to have her look into his eyes. Kagome smiled back at him and said, "Your welcome."

Then a slight breeze had reached through the open window and Yasha got a chill run through him. He looked down to find out why. What he saw made him blush but it wasn't noticeable. Then he looked back up to Kagome.

"What?" Yasha started… only he couldn't find the right words to say.

"After you fought with Kouga, your clothes were completely torn and you had numerous cuts and bruises. I had to take your shirt off so that I could tend to them." Kagome said as her face turned red again.


She failed to see Yasha blushing as red as her.
