Chapter1 Who are you??

Everything in her mind was hazy. No memories, no family, nothing. All she remembered was she being freed from the isolation chamber and running far away from that place with her pet dragon. Even though this creature was gentle to her and her friend, it was vicious to anyone that would bring them harm. This dragon's whole body was black and had red spines on top, showing that it was a rare breed of species. Standing on top of the log, that was used to get across the stream, mist of water sprayed around her making her glisten under the moonlight. Her pet dragon slowly wrapped around her arm and rested it's head on her shoulder as she stood there quietly thinking about those dreams she had earlier while she slept.
Somewhere not to far away, her friend sat on a tree branch watching her as she played around with red heart shaped locket. The girl dangled her feet and tried to figure out what was the secret behind those dreams they've been having lately. Coming to no conclusion, she jumped off the tree branch and in a blink of an eye she was standing next to the girl on the rock. They stood there quietly for five more minutes before heading off somewhere else.

Itsuki, who was getting ready to head over to Kaname's house, felt an unusual power coming from the national park not to far from his house. Shaking the urge to go and find out what it is, he finished dressing himself and continued his way of to Kaname's. As he arrived Kaname stood at the doorway waiting for him, patiently wondering how long it was going to take him to arrive. Kaname finally smiled softly as he saw him approach at the front door.

"Hey Kaname, I see your sister's cooking again, I can't wait to chow down!" he spoke excitedly, as he took of his shoes and entered into the living room. Kaname could only sigh as he remembered how they always used to hang out together when they were younger. Always looking after each other they were like brothers and they still had that connection. Rolling his eyes as he watched his friend jump up and down like a child, he lightly shook his head wondering if he would ever change. Sitting down on the black couch in his living room he switched on the plasma TV. and started to turn the channels. Itsuki soon joined him and watched as he continued to turn the channel. Deciding to interrupt the silence between them he turned his attention to Itsuki. Itsuki only raised an eyebrow, as he stopped what he was doing almost immediately.

"Sorry to just stop and ask you this, but did you sense an unusual power source coming from the national park?" asked Kaname, as he itched the back of his head. Itsuki looked at him like he had grown a second pair of eyes.

"So you sensed it too didn't you?" asked Itsuki calmly. Kaname looked at him confusingly and shook his head; he had felt that a major headache was going to form soon.

"Sensed what? The same unusual power from the park?" he asked, some how hoping that this didn't end up in a conversation where people would continue back and forth asking the same question.

"Yes that power, but do you have any idea who's it's coming from?'' Itsuki replied back with a question. Kaname shook his head no and sighed.

"Maybe it was just a flare from Aya, you know how she get's when she's angry." he spoke.

Leaving the conversation behind them for the moment, they walked into the dinning room to see the table filled with a variety of different foods. Itsuki's sister, Alane had been already sitting down at the table impatiently waiting for them to join.

"Hey Alane, how long have you been waiting?" asked Itsuki.

Alane only glared at them evilly. She set up all the things on the table that was required for their dinner five minutes ago and Itsuki had the nerve to go and ask her that question. Rolling her eye at them, she only grumbled under her breath.

"Alane, don't be mad." said Itsuki, as her gave her a hug. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting." Alane only rolled her eyes more at this.

They were always doing this to her, and then Itsuki would work his way into her heart and make her forgive him. But that wasn't going to work this time. As Itsuki and Kaname both sat down at the table next to each other, they started eating. Alane knew they had been talking about something that she couldn't know. Ever since her brother had been born with those strange powers, she felt left out and out of place. She and Kaname were close but they weren't as close as they use to be. Choosing to break the silence between them, she began to speak.
"I know you've been talking about something that has to do with those strange powers of yours." she spoke. Itsuki and Kaname looked at her understandingly. They knew it was hard for her to understand but they also knew that sometimes she had her limits to understanding them.

"We were talking about something that had to do with our powers. But you must---" Alane at that moment interrupted him in the middle of the sentece and stood up from her chair.

"I always have to understand, don't I? She asked, as her anger was rising. "Well guess what? I'm tired of understanding." Then walking into the kitchen and placing her plate in the dishwasher, she stomped upstairs and slammed her bedroom door.

Itsuki and Kaname looked at each other and sighed. She was right, she shouldn't have to understand everything they got themselves into, yet she should know why they were chosen. There were a lot of things they needed to accept into their life.

Sighing, they both got up to save the leftovers of their dinner. Putting away all the dishes, they looked at each other and sighed.

"Maybe we need to all sit down and talk about this." suggested Kaname. Itsuki sadly nodded his head and continued to put away the dishes.

The same mysterious girls, who had been in the national park, were now in their mansion which was not to far from Itsuki's house. The teenage girl that had the dragon wrapped around her arm, sat on the black gothic designed couch, looking over her books and her school uniform which lay scattered on the floor. She sighed and looked at the male figure that had his own uniform on, and looked at her as if he wanted her to say something.

"So how do I look?" he asked, in that deep husky voice of his.

The girl, who sat on the couch, had a light blush spreading across her cheeks. Then she glared and looked over him once. Turning around in her spot so that her back would be against the chair again, she huffed and looked down at the books on the floor again.

"You dirty devil, you know you always look good." she replied.

Hearing her reply, his pride and ego welled up inside him. He loved knowing that he was a handsome young lad, but his sisters made him feel extra special when they told him that he was handsome.

Somehow knowing that he was taking pride in himself, the girl that was sitting on the chair rolled her eyes. This is what she gets whenever she chooses to stay behind at home, than heading out with her younger sister. Now she was probably going to have a rough night tonight, with sleeping. Knowing that her brother would need some blood, it just made it worse for her. She never understood why he didn't just pick on their younger sibling. It would just be better for the both of them. Life was sometimes cruel; she just had to deal with it.

In Rekai, the SD gang stood in front of Koenma's desk wondering what was happening. There they were watching someone's personal life and they seemed like they had an unstable relationship with the girl that had ran up the stairs. But to get to personal matters, what was the reason behind them watching this through Rekai's view? Looking towards the chair to only see it empty they looked towards Botan with curiousity that shown through their eyes. Where was Koenma and why was Botan sending them on this mission instead of him? Something to them was not quite right and they had a feeling that this was going to be a very long and difficult mission.

Botan looked at all of them, observing the way they looked and held their posture. She knew that they were wondering where Koenma was but that was going to be the hardest part of their mission. Deciding to break the silence between them, she began to speak.

“I can't really say what is going on, but Koenma has gone missing and those two boys that you have seen will soon be working along side you.” She said, as she looked down at the ground.

Everyone who stood in front of her had a shocking look on their face. Hiei's eyes widened a little but he never faultered his emotionless expression.

Indeed something was really going wrong.
