Chapter two: Food Fight

The two girls ran into the lunch room and got in line, not far behind them was the three boys and in front of them stood the Sango girl from earlier. Kagome turned around and asked InuYasha."So what's safe to eat in this school? Anything at all? I'm curious because I wanna know what to get."

"I don't know. I usually don't eat in school."InuYasha shrugged.

"What why not?"Kagome asked,confused and worried.

"I just don't like the food."InuYasha lied.

"Oh."Kagome replied simley."You're eating today right?"

"I don't know...."InuYasha answered.

"Perfect!"Ayame blurted."You can join me and Kags after school!We are going to eat at some place!Do you mind if he joins us Kagome?"

"No.That'd be great!Please join us InuYasha!"Kagome begged with puppy dog eyes and jutting her lip out.All the while holding teary eyes,full of fake tears to make her look innocent.

"Fine I guess."InuYasha answered.And than thought in his head."I never blended in so well.I actually kindda feel like I fit in their small crowd and I don't feel so lonely."

"Great!"Kagome and Ayame replied in unison.They both high fived that they bribed the boy to come with them,making notes that they had just made a new friend each.

"You guys up for it too?"Kagome asked the two boys behind InuYasha.

"Its a free meal!I'm paying!"Ayame answered.

"I never let a beautiful lady pay."Miroku used his charm.

"That's why I'm paying,not Kagome."Ayame nodded.

Miroku looked past Ayame."Who is that fine lady standing behind you Ayame?The one with the brown hair pulled up into a ponytail.Her name is Sango,no?"

Ayame tapped Sango's shoulder and the burnette turned around.Ayame jabbed a finger towards Miroku."He's checking you out and wants to know if you'll go on a date with him."

Sango blushed and Miroku's eyes buldged,nervously laughed, and slapping a hand over Ayame's mouth,shoving her behind him in the line and skipping infront of Kagome and InuYasha and Ayame to get to Sango.Ayame bared her teeth at Miroku's back and Kagome giggled."Let him go Ayame,he's trying to impress a woman."

Ayame crossed her arms and stuck her nose in the air."Fine."

A smirk graced over her features as she saw that Naraku man.She had the perfect plan.Kagome looked nervous."Ayame,why are smirking?I don't like that smirk,it looks evil."

"Huh?Oh no reason."Ayame shook her head and waited in line.Once the whole group had gotten their food,Ayame and Kagome sat down at a table.InuYasha started to walk away.

"Hey,wait!"Kagome called."Come sit with us InuYasha!"

InuYasha obeyed and took a seat next to Kagome.Across from them sat Sango and Miroku and beside Kagome was Ayame,still with a smirk.She turned around seeing Koga head a different direction."Which table do you sit at?"

Koga pointed to one with a bunch of football players doing something stupid.Ayame shook her head."You'd loose brain cells sitting next to them.You can always sit here,in case you've lost too many brain cells and don't wanna loose anymore."

Glancing between the tables Koga sighed and sat down next to Miroku.A confused group walked over."Hey why aren't you sitting with us Koga?We can talk about plays and babes."

Koga's ears seemed to perk up a bit and his eyes quickly glanced at them.Naraku walked by and stopped,talking to somebody while his back was towards the group.Picking up a water bottle,Ayame screwed the top off and threw it at him and water splashed up Naraku's back,drenching him.Somebody else called out."FOOD FIGHT!"

After a minute of silence the students cheered and began to happily whip food at one another,not knowing who threw the water bottle or even which table it came from.Ayame ducked under the table alond with everybody else.Kagome squealed out in disgust as food just missed her before she ducked down.Than she whispered."Why the hell did you have to go and do that.Dammit!How are we ever gonna get out of this clean?!"

"Easy,pretend its paintballs."Ayame shrugged.Coming out she began dodging things and grabbing a tray for cover.Close to the door she dropped the trey and slid out the open doorway.Moments later the rest of the group ran out.Ayame looked confused."Hey Koga,where's your football team?"

"Playing the game."Koga sighed,getting up.

InuYasha stood up and helped Kagome off the ground as she blushed."Thanks for saving my ass back there.I would have been covered in food if it wasn't for you."

InuYasha nodded.

The group walked outside and sat down silently on the steps outside the front doors of the school.Miroku was still sweet talking Sango,or at least trying to.But Sango did seem to fall right into the little trap Miroku set to get her to like him and not hate him,and she was falling for it.Her eyes glazed over with stars as she looked at the boy and he didn't seem like the jerk he was making that bet.No,he seemed like the sweetest boy alive on earth.

Kagome sat slightly beside InuYasha as he just stared out towards the street and the cars passing."Have you lived here long InuYasha?"

"Only my whole life."InuYasha sighed.

"Do you have any siblings?"Kagome asked.

"Yeah,one.His name is Shessomaru."InuYasha answered.

"Does he look like you?"Kagome asked.

"Silver hair,golden eyes,but elf ears.And he's much taller.He was the best big brother a boy could ask for,and that will never change,never."InuYasha closed his eyes.

"I'd love to meet him some day."Kagome answered.

InuYasha opened his eyes and looked over at her,ears tweaking twice."Maybe some day you will Kagome....Maybe some day you will...."

"Do you have any pets?"she asked.

"No."InuYasha shrugged."So when you left,did you have to leave your boyfriend and friends behind?"

"It was easy leaving that place but yeah.I left my boyfriend there but I was going to break up with him anyways.My friends were hard to leave but hey,its alright."Kagome answered."What about you,do you have a girlfriend?"

"I have my eye on this girl but I'm not completely sure she likes me.She's really beautiful.But she's popular and everything.And her friends hate me,I can tell you that much."InuYasha sighed."Kagome...."

"Yeah?"she urged.

"Nothing.Never mind."InuYasha shook his head."We better go back inside before we get locked out and before class starts,I can't afford to be late again."

Kagome nodded and stood up.She called out."Hey guys!We're going back inside,are you guys?"

Ayame jumped down from the tree she was climbing and ran over to join them.Miroku helped Sango up and they both went back inside also.Koga jogged away from his car,which he had gotten his homework out of and also went back inside.Kagome couldn't help but wonder about the lingering thought invading her mind,what was InuYasha going to say that he didn't?And who was this girl he liked?

A/N:YAY!Finished the capter and i can totally see if you guys dont like this fic because i think everythings moving way too fast and all....but idk how to slow it down any!!!!plz review!ok, I don’t care if this one has mistakes b/c I just got Microsoft word and all so yea, I didn’t feel like correcting it. It was 2 long to go and click each red button, sry!
