While Inuyasha was waiting he decided to climb into the sacred tree’s branch sitting there and waiting
for Kagome. He was thinking of what he should say, ‘I wonder if I should just tell her the truth and get it
over and done with or...’ he didn’t get to finish that thought ‘cause he heard Kagome coming.
“Inuyasha? Where are you?” she said peeking behind the tree. Then suddenly heard someone behind
her and grab her by the waist. At first she got scared, but then she saw his beautiful silver hair toss
around with her own since she was being swung around in circles. “Inuyasha! Stop! I’m getting dizzy and
I’ma puke all over you!” she said while laughing. Her laughter is like music to his ears, he finally stopped.
“Kagome you smell nice.” He whispered to her ear. She blushed profusely feeling the hot breath tickle
her ear causing to send shivers down her spine.

“Thanks, Inu.” She gave him the warm, comforting smile he loved. The next thing she knew, he was
holding her waist and grabbed her left hand. “What are you doing?” she asked nervously and feeling
those butterflies in her stomach. “We’re gonna dance silly, I’ma put this high on volume so you can hear
it from the speaker.” She just nodded, he had pulled out his iPod touch secretly and right then and there
the song had begun.

bastara para encontrarte (sufficient to meet)
entre tantos torbellinos (among many whirlwinds)
que en el camino (on the road)
van tropezando el corazón (are encountered by the heart)

Kagome was at lost for words, never in a million years did she think Inuyasha would want to dance with
her especially right now that they’re all alone! She was sorta somewhat panicking because she never
danced to this type of song.

Inuyasha on the other hand was comfortable with the way they were swaying. He rested his chin on her
head, inhaling her intoxicating scent that filled his nose. He felt her stiffen underneath him. “Kagome
relax, just sway with me that’s all you gotta do.”

no dejare que nadie intente (I will not let anyone try)

She finally exhaled and relaxed, resting her head on his shoulder. “Inuyasha, why are you dancing with
me?” he was caught off guard and was thinking of what to say, “I-I just want to, so enjoy it while it lasts
‘cause this is our moment.”

She only nodded and continued her dance with Inuyasha. But little did they know who was watching
them from the inside.

Koga and the rest of the family, minus Sesshomaru and Inu no Taisho, were looking from a window.
Both mothers’ wouldn’t stop cooing over their children, “Izayoi this is awfully adorable! Should I go get
my camera?” she asked giddy. “No let’s not embarrass them, plus we don’t want to ruin the moment.”
Izayoi answered somewhat chuckling.

“Inuyasha…” Kagome said while gently squeezing his hand, “thank you for this little dance we’re having
but we really need to talk. You and Koga—“she never got a chance to finish because Inuyasha twirled
her around.

“Kagome I don’t want to talk about him, let’s just enjoy this moment while it lasts…please.” She was
surprised that he was actually being polite, normally he would be rude to her and give his last word. But
this time, things seemed to be different.

Inside, Koga was looking out his own window. Observing everything that was happening in front of him,
he felt his blood boil. ‘How can Kagome let that scum-bag touch her?! She must’ve not taken my
warning seriously.’

At the end of the song, both looked at each other in the eyes and felt something spark between them.
Inuyasha stared deeply into Kagome’s eyes with soft, passionate, loving eyes and she returned that
same connection with him. Her breath hitched when she felt the space between them close. Both
sighed, mixing their hot breaths together making it even harder to back away. They were so close to
kissing, that both of them shut their eyes and waited for that moment to happen. But apparently Koga
wasn’t going to let that moment happen.
