“Hey Kagome! Look what I’ve got for you!” yelled Kouga.
Both Inuyasha & Kagome shifted from their position and turned at the direction where someone was yelling. Once Kagome realized what position she was in, she hurriedly detached herself from Inuyasha who looked at her puzzlingly but soon forgot about it once Kouga got closer and just glared at him.
He growled angrily at Kouga,”What do you want, ya moron!?”
“Yash stop… Hey Kouga what’s up?” Kagome asked innocently.
“Kags while you were out here, I decided to get this beautiful, white, pure rose for you. “He said dreamily.
Inuyasha just stood there angry. It’s as if Kagome and this ass! Had forgotten he was standing 2 feet away from them. He finally cleared his throat and made himself present. Kagome was still mesmerized by Kouga’s generosity since about a half hour ago he was possessive and aggressive. This scared the wits out of her.
“Oh! Uuuhh .. Thanks Kouga I’ll just put this inside a single vase, see ya guys later at dinner!” she said quickly as she left.
“You bastard! Leave her alone, she doesn’t need some good for-nothing, low-life of a scumbag like you around so back off!” Yelled Inuyasha.
“Like if you’re any better! If I hadn’t come out here, Kags would have been tainted by your scent and wouldn’t have that beautiful ocean natural scent of hers!” Said Kouga.
“I’m heading back inside!” and with that Inuyasha was gone.

“Urrgghh!! What am I gonna do now !” muffled Kagome in her pillow. ‘I can’t have both of them fight constantly, or else it’s going to get out of hand!’ she wondered. “Maybe if I listen to some music I’ll be able to relax.”
She opened her laptop and started up some music in her iTunes. The few songs that past were ok but then one of them hit the spot. It was My Boo by Usher feat. Alicia Keys. Secretly she had dedicated this song to Inuyasha.
*I was in love with you when we were younger

I still feel like my boo
And I can see it no matter
How I try to hide my boo
Even though there's another man who's in my life

Every time she heard this song , it always made her blush because she was always thinking of how it would feel if she and Inuyasha were to kiss.

How it would feel if he touched her body in a way no other man could, how it would feel if he were in– ‘WOAH! OK Crazy hormones talking! Calm down Kagome, nothing will happen between you and Inuyasha. Now get it together before this dinner even begins!’ she cried to herself in her head as the song ended. ‘Now it’s time to hit the shower!’

Once dinner rolled around, everyone was cheerful and getting along well. Eating, drinking, laughing and having the time of their life. Obviously Inuyasha, Kagome and Kouga had graduated high school. So the three of them were looking into Universities and luckily one of them got accepted to one of the most talked about Universities.
Mr.Takahashi scooted his chair back, and clinked his glass with the spoon. “Thank you everyone for being here at the ranch, enjoying yourselves, but my wife and I have some exciting news to share with all of you.” Inuyasha looked at his father stunned, thinking ‘he wouldn’t dare....’ “Son, please stand up.” Inuyasha did as he was told. Kagome and Kouga looked at him confused and in wonder. “We would like you to congratulate our son, Inuyasha Takahashi, for being accepted to the one and only University of Texas at Austin!”
Everyone was applauding and cheering, except for Kagome. She looked at him with disbelief, he was leaving her, her best friend, soul mate, and…. love. Kagome fought back the tears and applauded with the rest and plastered on a fake smile. Kouga, on the other hand, was grinning smugly as if he won a championship.
Inuyasha felt guilty for hiding this secret to Kagome. He was going to tell her, he just didn’t exactly know how? His heart fell into a billion pieces as he smelled her tears and sadness. At that moment he wanted to comfort and tell her everything was going to be ok, even though that wasn’t entirely true. But he couldn’t do that, it wasn’t the right time.
Once everyone finished congratulating Inuyasha, they began to go to bed. Including Kagome, she knew that once she’d close that door a million tears would shed and she’d cry all alone without the comfort of his warm body and beautiful amber eyes that she’ll never forget.
