FifteenAyeka decided she liked Kagome. Kagome was willing to say what needed to be said and comfort you afterwards. She understood why the half demon loved her so much. Did Sesshoumaru ever carry that feeling for her? Had it been merely desire? Perhaps that she was close and he'd not needed to exert much effort. Somehow, that didn't seem to match what she knew of him.She was currently training alone in the dojo. She was unaware that the object of her thoughts was not far, just on the other side of the paper wall. He was kneeling in his gardens and his ears perked when he heard her muttering."Well it serves you right Ayeka," she chastised herself, "A man hotter than dreams in your bed at night that you are married to and you can't figure out what to do with him. Typical. Oh wait I can always run away... I'm good at that. I did it before, yup, ran the hell away."Sesshoumaru listened as she lectured herself soundly. She was perhaps her worst critic. It was however amusing. She didn't know what to do? He almost snorted, he'd be more than happy to show her. But he knew that she meant the words on a deeper level. Not only she did harbor doubts of him, but herself. That was no way to live and he wasn't certain he knew how to help her. He certainly didn't suffer such things.A long suffering sigh reached his ears and he considered going to her. If nothing else they could fight... that would ease some tension. Though fighting wasn't what he wanted to be doing. Then he heard her, softly at first and growing in volume. She was ...singing. He'd never heard it before and being that the song was unfamiliar he assumed it was from the modern era. He propped himself against the wall and listened, closing his eyes and almost feeling her longing.Something about trains, and cars on a cable. He didn't understand half of it, but he did understand that it was a song of regret and longing. Her voice faded a little and he knew she was moving to the back of the dojo, then louder as she came forward. Her words quite plain when she sang the words, "Just breathe."Sesshoumaru had heard enough. Enough of a pain filled voice that echoed in his soul. He imprinted that voice on his memory and swore that one day she'd only sing happy things. To him. He stood and removed himself from the garden. There had to be something that he could kill in the forest. Even a sapling, maybe Inuyasha but then he'd deal with a weepy Kagome and that didn't sit well. The storm broke that night, great claps of thunder and peals of lightening and the occupants of the palace took refuge from the driving rain. All, that is but one. Ayeka stood on the battlements, letting the wind and water buffet her. Wash over her, through her, as if she might be absolved for the past by the chilled drops. Inuyasha had tried getting her to come inside but she remained firm. Face towards the wind, hair flying as her robes grew heavy with water. The rain made her feel refreshed and renewed, as though the layers of centuries were peeling back from her and the long forgotten woman beneath could surface."Oi stupid, you are gonna catch cold!" Inuyasha shouted at her, but she did not turn and Sango bid him leave it alone. Something was on the woman's mind and she thought she might know what it was. Just this afternoon, she'd at last heard the tale of Inutaisho and Izayoi. And of Sesshoumaru's aggressions toward his sibling. She had felt the tear in her heart at his fate. Inuyasha had lived a lonely life, his mother shunned because she had given her heart to a demon. This could have easily been herself. However, she had not given Sesshoumaru a child and he'd not been killed. Shortly after she'd fled, she'd feared she had been with child. Now she knew it was stress that kept her body from normal behaviors. An idea began to glimmer in her mind, an idea that made her flinch. Instead she stood battered by the rain. Until Sesshoumaru came to her. Seeing her wet bedraggled appearance, he'd said nothing, merely held his hand out to her. Her pale eyes reflected centuries of regret but she did not speak it. What, after all could be said?So she took his hand and he led her away, trailing rivulets of water down his polished halls and to the door of the room they shared. That last untouched frontier. She'd bathed and changed and gone to bed, content to listen to the rain. Sesshoumaru had not joined her, he had messages from scouts and allies to read through. He'd be awake for hours yet.Ayeka tossed and turned and at last sat up. He was not here with her. She'd gotten used to waking in the night and finding his warm solid weight against her. Now, with the storm causing the curtains to billow in the dark room, she felt utterly alone. She rose, not bothering with heavier robes and went to the battlements, her feet slapping against the cold wet stone. She looked out over the dim fires from the soldier's quarters and into the dark forest. Rain stung her eyes but she held fast. Slowly she reached her hand to the heavens, "Come to me my blade of fire!" she shouted into the maelstrom.Sesshoumaru stopped when he felt the tug at his obi and then the blade was leaving him. His eyes narrowed, it could only be her. He raced up the steps to find her. Illuminated by lightening, long hair flowing down her back in a wet mass, robes sheer with water. She held her blade, forcing herself through training movements, heedless of wind and water. Her eyes were bright, far too bright for rain alone. She was crying into the storm. Her only outlet for her grief and longing was this. To train. To serve. He watched her for long minutes, every line of her body spoke of need,Sesshoumaru crossed the stones as she turned to stare at him. Eyes wide and unsure, pupils dilated. Her breaths came in tiny huffs, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She looked at him, at the blade in her hands. Then back at his arm. As if the blade had suddenly grown to hot to hold she released it. It clattered to the stones. He advanced on her slowly, and she stepped back. He pounced then and caught her to his chest. She cried out at the contact, her hands moving to his hair. She pressed close as he kissed her, a deep ravaging kiss that he knew she needed. For he felt the pull himself. She did not protest as his hands moved lower, cupping her bottom and pulling her up against him.Her legs went round his waist as he backed her up against the wall. His mouth never leaving hers. Pinning her between hard body and hard stone, Sesshoumaru let his hand trail between the folds of her robe to find that secret heat. HIS heat. She arched against him as he brushed the slick folds. She whimpered as he pressed his cheek to hers.He toyed with her for a moment, and she tightened her hold on him. "Please.." she whispered over the storm, "Sesshoumaru... please." His eyes flashed red as he freed himself from his hakamas. His length sprang free of it's constraints and he pressed the tip against her. Ayeka feared it was too soon, but damn it she wanted him.Sesshoumaru filled her with one powerful thrust, and her head fell back as she keened her relief. Centuries had seen lovers come and go but only one remained bright and even when she did not know his name or his face, she knew his touch and it haunted her. All others a shallow comparison.Sesshoumaru buried his face in the crook of her throat and half growled, half moaned. The desire to take his mate had been building. Now it erupted with the same intensity of the weather around them. Her body was hot, a tight fist clenching around him. It was not how he imagine a carnal reunion but he wasn't about to complain. In a tangle of tongues and wet clothing, heated bodies and pressing flesh, she fell. Fell into that deep well of desire and lost herself. His length and girth seemed almost impossible for her to accommodate but she did and he made that burning feeling reach to her toes. She was grateful for his great strength, for he was easily able to hold her, one arm beneath her bottom and the other braced against the wall, as he moved against her. She only had to hold on. She bit her lower lip, holding it between her teeth as she felt herself build to completion. She swallowed a harsh cry, her eyes closing tightly.Sesshoumaru lapped at the teeth, suckled the soft lip, coaxed her cries from her body. She shifted against him and he growled loudly. "Ayeka, do not hold back." he told her, but she fought on. Too much, too soon, he wasn't certain but she did hold off and that made his dominance flare. "You are MINE!" he growled harshly, his angled hips driving home, "As is your pleasure... now submit to me!"Ayeka's entire being tightened around him, her body an incandescent object. She became molten gold in his hands. Her orgasm hit her hard, her voice choked when she managed to rasp out his name. He felt that flush of heated liquid coat him deep within. With two powerful thrusts he let himself slip and spilled his own hot seed into her womb.He pressed his face against her tightly as he growled his release. His fangs bit deep and she cried out against him, cuddling his silky head to her. He held tight, feeling the last remnants of his essence move into her. He'd swelled inside of her and now he held her tightly to him as he waited for the condition to pass.On his hips, her pale thighs trembled. Her head was pressed back against the stone, held in place by his. Slowly, he let loose, his fangs receding, her blood flowed freely into his mouth and he lapped slowly at the wound, closing it. Blood coagulated there at the mark and he inhaled deeply of his scent covering her.
