Chapter 17 Over

Well, from now on my story nears its end.

Sad, isn't it? At least it's not over yet. Here it goes on!

Opening her eyes cautiously, Kagome slowly looked around herself. She was in bed, a very comfortable bed, she might add. Silk sheets were draped around her their cream color reflecting

a black tinge of the silent night which loomed outside.

Slowly deciphering everything around her, she found herself staring at him. Asleep, in a chair, by her bed, at her side. Waves of tire seemed to emanate from his still form, making a smile appear involuntarily on her face.

But then she remembered. Remembered the decision she had made when first attacking their enemies.

Willing her eyes to depart from him, she closed her eyes, welcoming the peace of deep sleep.

Rays of sun tickled his eyes, making them instantly open. Looking away, from the cursed intruder, his gaze fell on the woman sleeping on his bed.

The sun seemed to caress her skin, like a gentle lover did his love. Her creamy skin reflected the beautiful light, making her cherry lips stand out even more.

He watched how her eyelids fluttered open, revealing the azure of endless oceans. Mentally he made a note to once take to the place where her eyes came from.

Standing he made his way to her, brushing a few strands of raven hair behind her ear, smiling to her. Seeing her smile back, he slowly leaned down towards her, brushing his lips against hers in a chaste kiss.

,,I'm hungry." Kagome pouted when he retreated, making a chuckle resonate from deep within his chest.

,,Then let's eat." He smiled, bringing his one arm around her waist, lifting her up, making her feel the security which always came with his embrace.

Looking at him horrified, Kagome slowly extended her arm towards his other shoulder, but the feeling of touching his other arm never came.

,,Sess- Sesshoumaru …"tears filled her eyes, and suddenly she was hugging him to death, the tears soaking his shoulder.

,,Shh, shh, my sweet, it's ok." He tried to comfort her, but she kept crying, crying even harder, murmuring into his neck.

,,No , it's not, your left arm is gone, so it's not ok! " She yelled at him, making him want to cover his ears.

,,How …?" She whispered, after the tears had subsided, looking deep into his eyes.

,,I'll tell you after lunch. But now we eat." He continued with an air of finality.

Chasing Sesshoumaru out of the room Kagome changed, her thoughts never once leaving him.

When she had blacked out she was sure he had two arms, but now . . .

When she had made the decision she had been right. . . after tonight, after tonight it would all be over . . .

Looking down at his arm, or rather at the lack of it, he sighed. She wouldn't, wouldn't be disgusted by it would she?

His thoughts met an abrupt end when Kagome stepped into the room, but instead of sitting in her chair , she came to him and sat in his lap.

Sending her an amused look , he shrugged it off, and proceeded to feed her with his still present hand.

,,I want to know what happened." She whispered to him, before resuming chewing one of the bites he gave her.

,,After you fell unconscious, I fought Naraku. "He simply answered, looking at one of the clocks in the room, noticing it was indeed not lunchtime how he expected but rather late, almost sunset.

,,You won." She whispered to him, seeing him nod , and then smile bitterly.

,,I did , but at a cost." He murmured , the expression of bitterness, leaving , and one of doubt, curiosity and love taking its place, when he looked at her.

Bending towards him, she locked his lips into passionate kiss, tracing them with her tongue, making his lips open immediately.

Their tongues battled for dominance, Sesshoumaru's winning when Kagome cut her tongue lightly on one of his fangs, making him suck her tongue greedily into his mouth.

Not an inch was left undiscovered, as their battle began anew, making heat rush through both of their bodies. Kagome still occupied his lap, her hands intertwined behind his neck, his hand holding her waist, crushing her body possessively to his, making a little moan escape her lips.

Stopping with their kiss due to the lack of air, he suddenly felt, Kagome's lips tracing his jaw line moving towards his neck, placing open-mouthed kisses there, sucking lightly on the skin.

Forcing her head up, they locked eyes, their lips finding their way to one-another again, but Sesshoumaru broke the kiss, leaving both panting.

,,Are you sure?" He asked between breaths, and upon seeing her nod, he was out of the room before she could blink.
