[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Okay, guys, this is my fourth chapter in two days…I can see that people have read the story so please tell me if it's going okay or if I should just give up? I forgot to warn that that the first several chapters are about the kids while their still young. I have to build a history ya know? It gives me a more personal understanding of these characters and I hope that it gives you all a better understanding f why the characters act and talk like they do…Sorry, I'm a creative writing major as well as a theatre major…btw, this is the first fan fic that I've really made an attempt to write, so wish me luck…

Ryung grinned as she watched Ko Inu launch himself at her. She waited, preparing her body. As soon as she felt the first sign of impact from his body, Ryung let Ko Inu take both of them to the ground. Once she felt her back hit the ground she used the left over momentum, controlling it with the taut muscles in her tummy, and used it to flip them over so that she was sneering down at Ko Inu and he was staring up at her in shock. She quickly pinned his arms above his head with her hands as she sat on his legs, too high to be kneed off.

"I win, dog-turd!" she giggled. She'd heard her father say that phrase while he was telling his pack stories of when he used to battle with an Inu over a potential mate. Ko Inu's eyes flashed in embarrassment and anger(A/N not a good combination if he's anything like his father…or mother…which, he's exactly like his father.~_~). Ryung laughed and let him up. "That was fun. Wanna try again? You know one of my moves now so you probably can figure out the counter." Ko Inu growled in response as he got to his feet.

"Um…actually I think it's time we started home, Ko-chan," Shippo interjected. He recognized the familiar scent of an ookami youkai prince and he knew that if he and Ko Inu came home with that scent as well there would be big trouble. Ryung looked up at him, slightly hurt.

"Sorry, I didn't know you had a curfew," she apologized. Shippo smiled down at her but before he could say anything, Ko Inu attacked.

"Claws of Blood!" he yelled, slashing at her with his bloodied claws. In his anger he had scratched his shoulder to draw blood. He would show this girl what her proper place was.

"Ko Inu!!" Shippo screamed in disbelief, Ko Inu wasn't allowed to use Claws of Blood unless it was a life or death situation. Damn him for being just like dad! Shippo cursed as he dove out of the way. Ryung, on the other hand, had no idea what Claws Of Blood was so she held still, not sure what to do.

She dodged several of the bloody blades that flew towards her but the last two cut into the soft flesh of her left shoulder and on her lower stomach as she turned to avoid it, slashing through the thick pelt that she wore. She yelped loudly in pain.

"HA! Now, where's your proper place?"

"SHIPPO! KO INU!" The boys suddenly froze in place as they heard the voice of their father calling them, not too far off.

"Come on, Ko-chan, we gotta go before dad gets here," Shippo called, scampering off. Ko Inu turned back to Ryung.

"Better luck nest time, you wimpy wolf!" With that he was off after his brother.

"You'll need the luck next time, you ass!!!" She screamed. She was furious! He hadn't played fair! You didn't use attacks when you were play fighting! Ryung looked down at her wounds. The were still bleeding…quite heavily actually.

"Well, I can't shift in this state," she grouched as she turned and headed back into the forest. "The wounds will be stretched and then they'll never heal properly." She walked for a while in complete silence before talking to her self again. "Why was that boy so mean? Are all Inu's like that?"

"Any pup from the same litter as that one is bound to be." Ryung was startled to suddenly find that she had a passenger resting on her left shoulder.

"Who are you!?" she asked, stopping her in her tracks. Her passenger chuckled.

"Just a hitch hiker with a few words of wisdom," the fat ogumo(means spider in Japanese) replied. She dipped his head down and pinched at the puckered flesh around her still bleeding wound.

"OW! Stop that or I'll squash you!" she threatened.

"Sorry child, habit," the spider excused himself. Ryung blinked. She could have sworn the spider had grown a bit. "Wounds that cause such emotional turmoil always taste the sweetest and it's been sooo long since I've fed. Please child, you are strong, let me feed so I will not die? I have a great purpose that I have yet to fulfill and it is the utmost importance that I gain enough strength to do so. You will gain strength too, if you wish."

"I don't need strength," Ryung argued, her bruised pride flaring. "But if you need strength…then…I guess I can loan you some. Every one needs to fulfill their purpose."

"Thank you ever so much, precious child. You will not go unrewarded," the spider said to her, leaning down and biting into her wound once more. This time, Ryung held in her pained cry as she lowered her self to her knees. She felt dizzy. She didn't know how long she'd sat there but finally the spiders words brought her back to reality. "Thank you once again, child. Now go home, your father will be worried." Ryung shook her head to clear her hazy mind.

"O-okay," she replied, getting shakily to her feet. "You never told me your name." The spider laughed as he launched himself from her shoulder and scampered away through the underbrush. This time she was sure he had gotten bigger. For when she had first spotted him on her shoulder he had been as big as her palm. But now, he was the size of a rat!

"I am Naraku, and I thank you for your service." Ryung shook her head again. The spider's voice seemed to sound from with in her own head. But that was impossible. The sting at her shoulder and stomach reminded her that it was time to keep moving. The sun was nearly down! She was sure to be in trouble. She quickly bounded off through the forest, howling to her father, hoping he would hear her. It wasn't safe to be running through the forest at night while you were bleeding. There was no telling what evil entities you could run into.

Okay, so the plot finally begins to thicken!!! Please tell me what you think? Please please please please please please please please please please please please plllllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssseeeeeee?!???????
