Chapter 17~Nightmare!

~~~Everyone finally fell asleep after Kouga had cried for what seemed like forever. Everyone felt his pain in his cries and howls as Inuyasha allowed Kagome to sooth him, till he had finally drifted off to sleep with tears still in his eyes. They all knew he hadnt wanted to sleep but the last few days had been hell on him emotionally and physically and he couldnt help but succomb to his exhaustion. Everyone settled down and slept. Miroku and Kyoto together as previously in thier own palet, Kagome in her own as well with Inuyasha close by in a tree, Sango in her own with Sesshomaru further away leaning against another tree not far from Sango. He knew he had lost the fight with his mate long before they had joined and he really really did not like that. She was supposed to obey him, yet her strong will and training would not let him easily dominate her, but he would he vowed, he would.

~~~It didnt seem like many hours later that the night was filled with painfilled cries and howls. Everyone jolted up to see Kouga on the ground writhing in agony. Kagome ran to him and tried to comfort him.

"Kouga"!..Kouga wahts wrong?!" she cried as she tried to sooth him once again, she thought he was having a nightmare, but when he opened his deep blue eyes she could see he was fully awake and in alot of pain.

"My...My...Mate!..My..PUPS!" he cried as he doubled over again and then arched his back as if someone had ripped out his spine.

"Kagura.......shes.........shes in pain..........my...my pups are in fear!" Kouga added as he contined to writhe with more and more pain. From the looks of it he looked as if he was being whipped and lashed in terrible ways. They could only imagine what was going on. To everyones surprise Kyoto walked over to Kouga and placed her hand on his forehead and closed her eyes.

~~~Kyoto was trying to link up with his mind, see what he was seeing to better understand what was happening to the wolf prince. What she saw made her cry out herself and fling herself away from the writhing wolf.

"Kyoto!!..Kyoto are you alright?!" cried a fearfull Miroku as he ran towards her and pulled her into his arms. Inuyasha was right by his side, looking down at the sister he didnt know he had or didnt really know at all, but something inside of him had grown protective of her and he needed soo badly to protect her.

"MMMM..." Kyoto groaned holding her head and lifting her eyes up to her mate then to her newfound brother. She gave a pained smile.

"I saw what Kouga saw...Kouga is watching his mate being beaten severly by a man..with long wavy hair, cold eyes..deep gravely voice who cackles alot." she added, shivering at the image of the man, he was handsome but something about him had given her the major creeps and she was not easily scared.

"But how did you see this Kyoto?" Inuyasha asked with confussion.

"I have the gift of second sight..I can read peoples minds and see what they see..it varies with different humans and demons, depending on thier will and ability to block me out.."

"So you saw Kagura being beaten?? but how?? I mean you were seeing what Kouga was seeing right?" Inuyasha asked.

"Yes."

"Then how is Kouga seeing all this?"

"Hes being sent the image by his daughter, the one with the sight as well, shes watching helplessly along side her brother with great fear and pain in thier hearts as they see and hear thier mother being beaten..In her fear the little one is trying to calm her self by linking her mind to the one she feels will protect them...her father." Kyoto answered.

~~~Kouga yelled out louder then and howled in such pain before he passed out. Kyoto went to him and touched his head once more. The images were gone, but he had seen Kagura loose conscienceness before he too had passed out.

"Along with the images he saw he felt his mates pain by thier bond to each other..shes passed out from the pain and Kouga along with her." Kyoto replied, answering the unvoiced questions from the group.

"Thier bond is strong...Ive never seen one this strong before..how is that possible?? Kouga should be able to feel his mate but not literally share her pain." Inuyasha asked with another confussed tone and a frown on his face.

"Thier pups bind them stronger to one another..and since the female pup is one with second sight then she is able to strengthn that bond more." came Sesshomaru's cool calm voice, everyone looked up at him.

"Ive heard of this...when a full demon bonds with his mate then they can sense each others pain and emotions, but because they concieved the minute he spilt his seed into her he and she can now feel emotions and such more accutely, but it would have not caused Kouga this much pain if it were not for the second sight his daughter has, she binds them together stronger than any other normal demon mating." Kyoto confirmed and explained.

"We have to do SOMETHIING Inuyasha!" Kagome cried, wriping Kougas face with a cloth. Inuyasha growled at her, a part of his mating instinct kicking in, although in his heart he knew that she was only comforting someone she thought of as a friend, even if the damn wolf had tried to claim her for himself.

"What do you fucking want me to do Kagome?? dont you think I would love to find Naraku and rip his Heart out?!..But I dont know where to fucking find him!" Inuyasha yelled in frustration and in jealousy. He wished Kagome would show him affection that openly, or at all for that matter.

"I dont know...I...I just cant stand to see Kouga in pain and think of his pups in Narakus hands." Kagome cried. Inuyasha growled again, he hated when she cried, but he was not liking that she was crying for the wimpy wolf.

"Dont Inuyasha!...You know I have no feelings for him other than friendship!" Kagome yelled at him, seeing the look on his face and knowing what he must be thinking, he alawys got that look when ever she showed any sort of emotion for Kouga.

"Kali! Kaze!" came the pained filled yell of Kouga as he jerked up into a sitting positon. He stared wildly into the night not really looking at anyone.

"Whos Kali and Kaze?" asked Sango.

"The names of his pups." replied Kyoto, having sensed thier names when she had been seeing threw Kougas mind threw his daughter as well.

"Thier mother named them that when they were born." she added absently. (Ok guys I know Kaze means wind..I think and I have know Idea what Kali might mean if anything but I liked it for her and I wanted a K name so that her and her brother could have the same initials soo to speak..lol..like thier mommy and daddy..wink)

"I need to find my mate and my pups." Kouga replied as he stood up on shaky legs ready to bolt but looking around as if unsure where to go, in fact he was unsure, where did he plan on looking?

~~~Tired of Kagura's ranting and raving and screaming Naraku had taken her out of her room and chained her to the wall of his den, there he beat her with an energy whip not unlike the one Sesshomaru used to slice his victoms to pieces, but his did not cut her to little bits but slashed her flesh with each sweep and lash that hit her naked skin. She had always been disobediant to him and it was time she payed the penalty for her insubordination. Plus he was angry at her for the way her boy pup had bit him and the way her girl pup just stared at him with her cold voilot red eyes, as if sizing up her prey. Even as young as she was she was really kind of creepy, the way she seemed to look into his very soul. He didnt like it, but since he couldnt hurt them for fear he would not get his shards from Kouga if he did not at least present them unharmed, he could let them watch as he punished his mother.

~~~Naraku had laughed that awfull laugh of his as he had whipped Kagura repeatedly, as she cried out in utter agony. he liked the way her cries of pain filled the castle, and he loved the look of fear in the faces of her pups as they watched, at one point they had tried to rush at his legs, but with a flick of his wrist he had pinned them tot he spot with his tentacles so that they could not move as he beat their mother till she was unconscience. Little did he know that the female pups was sending all this to her father, who was inadvertantly sharing it with a powerfull seer and Inuyasha's group. If he had, he might of killed the child there on the spot, shards or no shards.
