A/N: Hi how’s it going everyone? At the moment the computer is going a bit funny...or the internet more like. One my Mediaminer profile keeps going on and off to the public and 2: my deviant art account takes a while to load up images so my gallery is half empty....

Anyway here’s another chapter adios!

Disclaimer: InuYasha belongs to RT and Diablo belongs to Blizzard but Alana is mine!

Chapter 4

The ride for Kagome on the giant wolf’s back was more smooth and swifter then she expected. She thought she was gonna fall off on the way to camp at the speed the wolf at. She was so wrong.

Lunar, the wolf she is riding on, made sure she was combatable and was so gentle, often turning her head to nuzzle Kagome’s leg when she felt her slipping off and giving her rider a sign to slide a little on the saddle.

Alana, who was in cheetah form, the smaller wolf and the two crows, had no trouble keeping up at all. In fact they didn’t look close to exhaustion; even the wolves were not hanging out their tongues or panting at all.

Along the way, Kagome told Alana about how she woke up in the middle of the fields and losing track of her friends. Alana replied that she should see the priestess of the camp who would be able to help her find them.

Kagome felt Lunar slow down as rickety wooden walls came into sight. From what Kagome could tell by the appearance of the camp, the people were desperate to keep demons from coming after them as huge claw marks tore through the bark and ashes that remained from torches thrown. A few of the men there were hurrying with the repairs.

Alana and the wolves slid to a trot and before they reached the guards, Alana transformed back into her human form and approached the guards with a lively smile.

Kagome stared at the guards. They were both female with short bows in their hands. Their armour was leather but, like Alana’s, didn’t cover much but the armour was only leggings, bracers, boots, a tight chest armour , shoulder pads and gloves that allowed the fingers to break free at the edges. Kagome also noticed the daggers hiding in their belts.

When they saw Alana approached them, their serious and emotionless faces turned into pleased and relieved grins.

One of the guards with the reddish brown suit of armour approached the young druid, with her arms out. Kagome gave a small gasp. Despite the fact the people looked foreign, they spoke in perfect Japanese!

“Alana! So glad to see you alive” she gave the girl hug. Alana returned it.

“Arigato Flowlvie!. I’m glad to see you and your sister are ok. Any news?”

The woman, named Flowlvie, took a step back and shook her head.

“Nope. We are lucky today. No attacks whatsoever. But no news from the East” she replied. Even though her face didn’t show it, her eyes showed sadness.

Alana gave her friend a disappointing look when Flowlvie noticed Kagome, sitting patiently on Lunar.

“Who’s the girl Alana?”

“Oh this is Kagome. She was in the northern fields of Blood Moors”

Kagome shuddered at the name. What a name to call a place in the countryside. Then again, Kagome did see quite a few bloodstained bodies on the way, some made her stomach turn while others almost made her sick. She thought about InuYasha. She doubted even his nose would be able to withstand the stench of decaying bodies as she could smell it too.

“Oh” Flowlvie approached Kagome, eyeing her suspiciously before answering with a smile, and holding her hand out,

“Hello Kagome. I’m Captain Flowlvie of the rogues. Right behind me is my sister, Cally. Do go through to see the priestess”. The captain gave a grin to Alana before returning to her post.

“Lunar take Kagome inside”. She turned to Kagome. “I’ll be with you in a min. Stay with the wolves”. Alana went back to Flowlvie as the guard whispered something in her ear as Lunar, the crows and the smaller wolf, Cree, and Kagome entered the camp.

The camp itself was poor. There are square tents that were formed in a circle around the camp, nearer to the walls, while in the middle of the camp is a huge campfire with 3 large logs surrounded it.

Hens, Cows, dogs and other animals scattered around the camp. Families, travellers, the guards, rogues and archers, all were doing jobs around the camp with sweat leaking out of their skins and exhaustion on their expressions.

Kagome felt sorry for them. She got of Lunar and went over towards a boy who was struggling t o left a piece of wood when suddenly...

“HALT!”

Kagome jumped out of her skin at the startling voice. She turned around to find a red haired young woman glaring at her. Most of the people around stopped working to look at the upcoming show.

She was a solider also; gloven in armour that was more detailed then the guards and covered up most of her body. Kagome immediately assumed that this woman was the leader of the small army.

Kagome finally decided to speak to her.

“Ano...you talking to me?” she asked, slightly surprised that even the woman was also talking Japanese yet she looked English.

“Who else am I talking too?! Who are you? What are you doing here, outsider?!” she half yelled with anger in her eyes.

Before Kagome could answer back

“Kaya”

Both turned to find Alana approaching them.

“Kaya. What is the matter?”

Kaya turned to the druid, the anger never leaving her eyes, though Kagome noted a small hint of relief in them when Alana showed up.

“Another outsider!”

Alana rolled her eyes in annoyance.

“I brought her here Kaya, to see A-“

“You did what?! Alana, you know there is hardly any room now and you know how much I-“

“Yes I KNOW” Alana all of a sudden bellowed, making both Kaya, Kagome and the people watching take a step back with a slight hint of fear of Alana’s sudden outburst.

Kaya looked like she has calmed down a little but the frustration was still evident on her face.

“Look Alana. With the demon we captured earlier and now an outsi-“

“You caught a demon?” Alana suddenly interrupted

Kaya grinned slightly now that the druid was interested.

“Yes, a demon that can take human form. It-or he, has silver hair and two ears on his head that look like some sort of dog’s-“

“What’d you say?! A demon with dog ears?” Kagome suddenly butted in.

Kaya glared at her while Alana asked “Do you know this demon, Kagome?”

Kagome was between relief and worry. Was it InuYasha? What were they doing to him? How’d he get caught?

“I don’t know yet....Where is he?” That was more of a demand then a question.

Alana spoke before Kaya retaliated. “Yes I’d like to see this...demon”

Kaya looked between the two of them before sighing and turning around with a “follow me” replay.

Both the girls followed Kaya into a fenced area on the right side of camp and Kagome’s heart leapt when she heard a familiar voice.

“I told ya! I don’t know who this maiden of Anguish is! Now get these bloody ropes of me!”

Kagome ran past Kaya and Alana, shouting.

“InuYasha! InuYasha!”

She ran past the wall to the prison to find that it was InuYasha. He looked up at her when he heard her footsteps. Kagome had to snuffle her gasp.
InuYasha was pinned down to the ground by two large creatures that looked like ogres, and yet they were not. Their faces were human looking but their size was monstrous. InuYasha had ropes around his neck, wrists and legs. His face was dirty and it looked like his lip was bleeding.

Alana and Kaya arrived and Alana sensed something about this ‘Demon’.

“Kaya. This is no demon”.

“What! But look-“

“Take a closer look. He’s half demon”.

InuYasha growled at this. “You got a problem with that wench?!”

Alana looked at him with eyes that silenced him.

“No I don’t”. She turned her attention to the men that pinned InuYasha down. “Release him”

They did as they were told and removed the ropes. Kagome ran up to InuYasha. He looked at her, relief written on his face that he was glad she was ok, yet; once again, he refused to adit it slightly.

Kaya gave on final glare at Kagome and told her

“Kagome! Go see the priestess. It’s her decision for you and your- pet to stay here”

She stormed off leaving Alana rolling her eyes and slightly shaking her head while Kagome was struggling to hold back an angry Hanyou who wanted to go after Kaya and rip of her head.

Alana stepped forward with an apologetic look on her face.

“I’m sorry Kagome and InuYasha. Kaya has always been like that with outsider’s that didn’t come from...”

Her voice trailed off, but the silence was interrupted when InuYasha muttered

“Witch”

Kagome was about to knock him in the ribs when Alana continued.

“Kaya is the General of the small patch of troops we have left”.

Kagome took this time to speak up.

“What happened to the rest?”

“Some were killed while the others...well the priestess will tell you the rest. I’ll take you to her now”

-------------------------------------Meanwhile--------- -------------------------------------

“Wow. The encampment is bigger then I what I saw on the higher hill” Shippo said.

Mirkou, Sango, Shippo and Kirara are not far from the encampment. They were still quite a way as they are climbing down steep hills and are now coming up to a cliff.

The there were silently hoping that Kagome and InuYasha were already at the camp.

Their thoughts were interrupted when a shadow over loomed them. All four of them looked up to see a ghostly white woman with similar armour to that of the rogues. Her face had black lines under her eyes. Her lips were between purple and black as well as her hair.

Mirkou, once again old habits take over, but then he felt and sensed something. The aura around the woman was not exactly of neither the living nor the dead. Sango, Shippo and Kirara seemed to notice it too.

“Sango, something isn’t right about this girl. Her aura may make her appear to be alive but...”

“But what?”

The woman’s face lifted up slightly and the group saw her pupils have over taken her irises.

“Her soul on the other hand isn’t really her own anymore”

All of a sudden the girl gave an ear screeching scream and leapt towards Mirkou.

“He he he” A blood chilling snicker echoed throughout the stony walls of the catacombs underneath the monastery.

A clawed hand hovered over a glowing orb which showed the demoness watched her minion take on the monk and demon slayer.

“Now my dear...kill them. Do not let them near the camp. We can’t let them ensemble an army to assault us”

The demoness smiled when the orb changed to an image of a raven-haired girl with strange clothes walking next to a half demon.

“This time...you will fall in my corruption, young priestess”

To be continued

A/N: Dun dun dun! Lol
Well another end to the chapter.

The InuYasha manga is drawing to a close and it’s really nerve-wracking. Who will survive? What will happen? Will Kagome get her power back? Will InuYasha and Kagome ever admit their feelings?

Urgh I want to read and find out and not at the same time....
Anyway do review. See ya!
