Last night as I was watching Russel Simmon's Def Poetry Jam, I got this crazy idea to do one myself. Except I was inspired to write one about Sesshomaru! This is my favorite type of poetry and I hope that what writing skills I do have show favorably here! Please enjoy!

His sword gleams in the sunlight, him unsheathing it
To reveal a monstrous weapon
Leaving behind the second to protect him
Without a word he starts foreward, one step, two steps, ten steps
To destroy his enemy, an epiphany that he's going to win
With speeds unseen he gracefully races to the scene
To protect...well, I suppose himself
A swift cut causes a river of blood at the feet
Eyes that stare without seeing as his neck and shoulders no longer meet
Not him, no, he's only just begun
To slaughter three more, blood and gore
A smirk; I think he's having fun
He dances between the ranks as he--wait
Dances? No, that's not right, not in this fight
A better term to suit him would be...glides
So, he glides between the ranks as he fights, inebriated high
That comes from one who enjoys the thrill of the kill
One's bravery can quickly become their stupidity
He took a chance and went for what he thought was an opening
His last mistake. Before the blade spits his face
He falls on his knees and pleads for mercy
Him merciful? No, never that and to prove that fact
He cuts off the man's sword arm so that he won't again
Rise to the alarm of battle. Well, almost never.
But soon again he's caught up in that mind frame
Of kill, kill, kill that he doesn't notice when he's alone.
Cleans the blade, resheaths it. A satisfactory smirk
As he gathers his hidden entourage to travel to parts unknown
Or perhaps, finally, it's time to head on home.
