“Miroku?”

“I feel it to Sango.”

Kilala let out a hiss and transformed, Sango and Miroku climbed on.

“What about me?” Shippo called out.

“Warn the villagers.” Miroku yelled as Kilala took off. Shippo nodded and ran off.

“Ayame call in the troops.” Koga said, she nodded and took off for the top of Sesshomaru’s castle. A few seconds later a howl was heard and several other responded.

“Mi lord!” Rin called running into the office. “Has the battle begun?”

Sesshomaru nodded putting on his armor. “And as I said before you will be staying in the castle.” Sesshomaru said looking her over, she wore battle armor from head to foot, her hair was up in a high ponytail like Sango’s and at her sides was her sword. This sword was given to her by Sesshomaru, it was forged by his fang. It was named poison, and was the length of her whole leg. It was a little heavy but after all that training she had gotten use to the weight.

“But mi lord I’d rather be at your side fighting.” She replied putting her sheathed sword into her obi.

“Suki…Yuki!” Sesshomaru called putting on the last of his armor.

“Yes mi lord?” They answered in unison.

“Lady Rin is not allowed out of the castle until I return.” Sesshomaru stated coldly.

“Yes mi lord.”

“Come Koga.” Sesshomaru called looking over at Rin. Koga walked over and they walked down the hall together a short ways down the hall they were joined by Ayame.

Rin shook with anger “Lady Rin?” Yuki called sensing her anger.

Pushing pasted Yuki and Suki, Rin ran down the hall “Mi lord!” She called.

“Do not defy me Rin.” Sesshomaru said as the front door opened, Koga and Ayame walked out and meet the troops briefing them.

Rin stopped, closed her eyes and bawled her fist “SESSHOMARU!“ She yelled.

He stopped dead in his tracks “You know better than to disrespect this Sesshomaru.” He replied turning around.

Rin opened her eyes and gave him one of his famous cold face expressions. “I will go back to respecting you when you start showing me some respect.” Sesshomaru growled. “Walk out that door with out me and I…”

He cut her off “And you’ll what?”

“I won’t be here when you get back.”

Sesshomaru’s heart skipped a beat and his stomach twisted at the though of her leaving him. “You’re a mere human…”

“So are Sango and Miroku.”

“They’ve had years of training.”

“So have I.” It got silent, he stared at her in deep thought. “Please Sesshomaru…” She pleaded placing her hand on his cheek and tracing his markings. “I need to be there…I need to be by your side.”

Sesshomaru stepped out side and without a word Koga, Ayame and him took off, the troops followed and taking up the rear was Ah-uh, Jaken and Rin.

Thunder clapped, rain poured down and lighting was the only source of light. Naraku and Inuyasha stood there having a staring contest. Kagome stood behind Inuyasha, the loud roar of thunder made her jump and hug protectively onto Inuyasha’s haori. Inuyasha took his left hand pulling her closer and rubbed her back, his eyes never leaving Naraku, his right hand ready to grabbed Tetsusaiga.

A tentacle flew straight at Kagome towards Kagome, but a flash of red scooped her up, before the tentacle could reach her. “Tell me Inuyasha, what does that miko mean to you? Why do you protect her so?” Naraku asked as Inuyasha sat Kagome carefully on the ground and stood protectively in front of her.

“What’s it to you?” Inuyasha asked slashing a few tentacles.

“I was just curious, you don’t treat as anything more than a replacement of something you lost years ago.” Naraku replied. Inuyasha growled in response. “So if she isn’t a replacement, what does she mean to you? Why keep her around?” He paused then snapped his fingers and chuckled “That’s right all she is a jewel detector…am I right?” Inuyasha didn’t responded he just barred his teeth as his grip on Tetsusaiga tightened. “Because if that is so than you won’t mind if I kill her.” He said as tons of tentacles flew at them.

“HIRAIKOTSU!” Sango yelled the huge boomerang flew by slicing the tentacles off.

“But we do!” Miroku said standing on the left side of her and beside him was Ayame. Kilala and Koga stood to her left. Behind them were Koga and Sesshomaru’s army, behind them was Sesshomaru and beside him on Ah-uh was Rin and Jaken.

“Fall back Kagome.” Inuyasha said looking over his shoulder at her. She nodded and quickly retreated to Kilala’s side.

Naraku laughed “How cute…your all here to destroy me…well you all made my job easier…now I won’t have to make to many trips here and there…I can kill you all at once.” He said as tentacles flew towards everyone. “Kagura!” He called out.

She came to his side and immediately knew what he wanted with out another word from him she attacked. “DANCE OF THE WIND!” She yelled as she flicked her fan several times, sending several blades of wind at the group of warriors, making them all scatter in order to dodge her attack. Naraku’s tentacles pierced some of them, other were thrown into trees and others were hit by Kagura’s attacks.

Sesshomaru and Koga could only watch as their army was demolished quicker than they thought. “What now?” Koga called to Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru sent him an icy glare “Never question me.”

“SACRED SUTRAS!” Miroku called throwing few which disincarnated a few tentacles. Sango fought off a few herself, but one caught her off guard and knocked Hiraikotsu out of her hand. She quickly took out her katana and began fight them off with that.

Kilala let out a fierce growl as a tentacle grabbed Kagome leg. Kilala bit down on the tentacles and some type of gas spread into her eyes blinding her. “Kilala?” Sango called out looking over her shoulder at her distressed pet. Naraku took that instance and attacked her, Sango quickly slide her foot under Hiraikotsu and kicked it up, blocking Naraku’s attack. She let out a small cry and flew to the floor Hiraikotsu on top of her.

“Sango!” Miroku called out slicing the tentacle with his staff. “Are you alright?” He asked sliding Hiraikotsu off her.

“My arm.” She replied holding it. “It’s broken.” She added sitting up, just then Kilala went flying passed her with a gaping hold in her side. “KILALA!” Sango screamed.

Naraku laughed at how much he‘d cut their army down to. The only ones standing were, Kagome, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Rin, Ayame, Koga, Sango and Miroku. “Why don’t you hand over the jewel shards and I’ll let your miko live.” Naraku said.

“You never let your hands on the jewel shards and your sure as hell not going to touch Kagome.” Inuyasha replied.

Naraku released an evil chuckle. “I wasn’t talking about that miko.” He said.

“Inuyasha!” Kikyo called. Everyone’s eyes darted to the sky. On a large feather Kikyo sat chained up. She leaned forward and stared down at him. “Inuyasha please help me.” She called out reaching for him. She was pulled back by Kagura. She sat behind Kikyo and to the right of her sat her sister Kanna and to her left Kohaku.

“Kikyo?!” Inuyasha growled. Anyone near Kagome could hear her heart break.

“Ah so you still have feeling for her..?” Naraku said with an evil smirk.

“Let her go!” Inuyasha yelled.

“Of course…but first the jewel shards.”

Inuyasha was silent. ‘Is he actually thinking it over?’ Kagome thought tears welling in her eyes. ‘Of course he is…he still loves her.’

“Otouto...is it not true that she is dead already?” Sesshomaru asked.

“Stay out of this Sesshomaru…” Inuyasha growled.

“You can’t actually be thinking this over?” Koga yelled. Inuyasha once again was silent.

“Inuyasha…” Kagome called out hr voice barely above a whisper. ‘You want the shards?’ She though trying to gather her courage to say it. A horrifying scream from Kikyo, a evil laugh from Naraku and the pain in Inuyasha eyes pushed the though out her mouth. “You want the shards?” She asked in a calm cold voice.

“Kagome?” Sango and Miroku began but were cut off.

“Release Kikyo and I’ll give them to you.”

“Kagome?!” Inuyasha began.

“I believe your miko has gone crazy.” Sesshomaru replied.

Naraku wore an evil smirk “Catch!” He yelled wrapping a tentacle around Kikyo and throwing her into Koga and Sango knocking them out. “Now the jewel shards.” He commanded.

Kagome let out an evil chuckle and replied “As if.” while releasing an arrown. It glowed bright and flew right at Naraku.

Naraku chuckled as Kagura used her fan and sent the arrow to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, Miroku blocked with a barrier.

“Owe you one!” Inuyasha said with a grateful smirk, Miroku nodded.

“Did you think that would work?” Naraku laughed. “Hand over her jewel shards and I won’t kill your friends.” He said Kagome gasped at the sight. A knocked out, Sango, Kilala, Ayame, Rin, Miroku, Koga and Jaken were all in Naraku’s grasp.

“Damn!” Inuyasha cursed.

Sesshomaru‘s eyes went red and he let out a low growl “This Sesshomaru believes now is the best time for action.” He stated.

“Not with Kagura here.” Inuyasha replied looking over at his brother. “She’d divert our attacks.”

Sesshomaru looked up at Kagura who then put away her fan and flew about two feet away from the battle. “She will not.” His cold voice said a little deeper than normal. Inuyasha curiously looked up at her and she winked at him. He smirked and looked at Kagome who was talking to Kikyo.

“We’re going to need your help.” Kagome said.

Kikyo looked shocked ‘My help?’

“Naraku is the one who deceived you and Inuyasha…he’s the one that killed you…help us get rid of him.”

“He’s two strong…and with the jewels…”

“Jewels?” Kagome asked confused.

“Yes…don’t you know he has five shards...six with Kohaku.”

“But…” Kagome began looking the jewel in her hand over. To her astonishment six jewel shard were missing. “I don’t understand…how?”

Naraku laughed “It seems the miko has miss counted.”

“What? Kagome what in the hell is he talking about?” Inuyasha yelled.

“He doesn’t just have one shard he has five and the sixth one is in Kohaku.” She replied.

“What?!” Inuyasha growled and began to shake in anger.

Rin slowly awoken and immediately didn’t like her surroundings. In the far distance she spotted her lord and before she could stop herself she called out in panic. “LORD SESSHOMARU!”

Sesshomaru growled and his eyes went a deeper red. “Otouto…if you will not take action this Sesshomaru will.” He snarled grabbing Tojikin.

“Wait…not yet.” Inuyasha said before drifting off into deep thought. ‘Damn, we can’t attack him separate and I’m not so sure if our combined attacks will work…even with Kagura on our side…I don’t think we can win this.’

“Now is not the time for doubt Otouto.” Sesshomaru said standing read with Tojikin.

“I’m just thinking of a plan.” Inuyasha growled irritated.

Sesshomaru though for a moment. “Can your miko give me back my arm.” He asked just low enough for Inuyasha to hear.

“I’m not sure.” Inuyasha replied looking curiously at his brother.

“I shall find out.” He said, in a spilt second he was standing in-between Kagome and Kikyo. “Miko…”

Kagome jumped and stared at him “Hai?”

“Can you return my arm?” He asked.

“I’m not sure…“

“Can you try?” He asked looking into her eyes.

She nodded. “Close your eyes…and whatever you do don’t fight me.” He nodded and did as he was told. Kagome also closed her eyes and place her hands over his left arm, a few minutes later his arm slowly reappeared. They opened their eyes, he flexed and nodded his thanks.

“Lord Sesshomaru?!” Rin called out in a gasp. The tentacle that was holding Rin was tightening, crushing her lungs.

Sesshomaru’s eyes went red than a maroon then a gray. “Rin?!“ He called out in a deep booming voice sending chills down everyone’s spin including Naraku’s. “Throw me poison.“ He yelled. Rin struggled and soon dislodged her arm from Naraku’s hold, grabbed poison and as best she could threw it to him. Poison flew through the air and a clawed hand caught it by it’s hilt. Tojikin and Tenseiga rattled threatening to break free from their sheaths. Poison glowed a bright green, the same green as Sesshomaru’s poison whip, as it was pulled from it’s sheath. “Otouto?!” He called out staring at Naraku.

“Ready when you are.” Inuyasha called back.

“Miko?!” Sesshomaru called.

“Ready.” She called notching an arrow.

Sesshomaru‘s eyes went a darker gray. “Monk?!” Miroku nodded, closed his eyes and began chanting. Sesshomaru eyes went to Kagura she nodded and a small smirk flashed on his face. He slowly pulled Tojikin out of it’s sheath and held it along with poison at Naraku.

“BLADES OF BLOOD!” Inuyasha yelled throwing his blood at the tentacles that held his friends and allies captive, the attack slice threw the tentacle and they fell to the ground where they all got up and began running for cover. Tentacles flew at them but Miroku, who was being carried by Koga, was protecting them with a barrier.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru released a battle cries, they blended together and sounded like their fathers.

Kagome let all her sorrow gather, she pulled it along with her miko powers forth and let it take over the arrow. “SCARED ARROW!” She called out releasing the arrow.

Inuyasha stood shocked but quickly recovered “WIND SCAR!” Inuyasha called out swing his sword at Naraku a yellow thunder light, surrounded Kagome arrow and flew toward Naraku. Naraku laughed and batted the attacks back toward Kagome. In a flash Inuyasha was in front of her and deflected the attack back at Naraku. Naraku went wide eyed as the attack flew back at him it hit him dead on. When the dust cleared Naraku was just an upper body with one arm and a few tentacles. An evil laugh came from his throat as he began to regenerate.

“Miko!” Sesshomaru yelled, that one word commanded her to release another arrow.

Kagome nodded and gather all her anger, sorrow and pain added it to her miko powers and once again let it take over the arrow. “SCARED ARROW!” She called out releasing the arrow only to hear the words being called out behind her, then an arrow flew passed her and joined her arrow as they glowed bright becoming one. She turned and gave a grateful smile to Kikyo who nodded in response.

“WIND SCAR!” Inuyasha yelled the yellow thunderous light wrapped around the arrows.

“DANCE OF THE DRAGON!” Kagura yelled, her attack joined the others.

“POISONOUS DRAGON STRIKE!” Sesshomaru yelled his eyes going black. A blue and green light flew from the two swords in his hands and joined the other attacks.

Naraku’s eyes went wide, he used his only hand to shield his eyes. ‘They betrayed me…’ He thought as the combined attacks hit him. He wasn’t able to utter a word, due to the force of the blow.

The dust settled, revealing a deep crater but no sign of Naraku. The five jewel shards lay on the bottom of the crater. A smile spread across Rin, Sango, Miroku and Kagome’s faces. Inuyasha gave a job-well-done smirk and Sesshomaru held his cold stone expression.

“Kagome…” Inuyasha began staring into her eyes.

“Inuyasha?” Kikyo called walking over to the two. Everyone got silent. “I don’t have much time…” Inuyasha didn’t say anything he just hid his eyes under his bangs. “It is now that you must make a decision…my reincarnation or me?”

Kagome eyes filled with tears, she already knew what he was going to say, she turned from the two and walked over to Rin and Sango.

“Will you keep your promise and go to hell with me or do you choose life with my reincarnation?”

“I…” Inuyasha began but stopped when he spotted Kagome, being escorted to the well by Sango and Rin. "No she can’t leave.’ “Kagome?!” He called out leaping over to her just as she reached the well throwing her bag in. She turned to him eyes filled with tears, cheeks wet and red. “Kagome...” He said in a soft voice as his heart throbbed in pain.

“I see you have made your decision.” Kikyo said everyone turned their eyes to her. With an outstretched arm she called the five jewels to her, she closed her eyes as she took them into her body. Her eyes snapped open, her once almond brown eyes were now completely black. She notched an arrow and replied “Die Inuyasha!” She then released the arrow.

“No Inuyasha!” Kagome cried out before pushing him out the way. The arrow pierced her in the side and force knocked her into the well. “INUYASHA!” She yelled just as the blue familiar light surrounded her.

“KAGOME!” He yelled getting up and running to the well but it was to late she was gone. Inuyasha turned back to Kikyo growling viscously. He stared deeply into her cold brown eyes, his flashing a deep crimson red, hers cold and emotionless.

Thunder roared and lighting light up the sky. “What do we do?” Rin asked looking up to Sesshomaru.

Thunder roar long and loud and lighting struck the ground. “We watch.” He simply replied.

Thunder clapped, lighting light the sky, time stood still and rain soaked everything. An ice cold wind blew making the rain feel like daggers. “You will keep your promise to me Inuyasha.” Kikyo said in a an evil colder tone than Sesshomaru.

“I made that promise to Kikyo, the woman I use to love and your not her.”

“Is that so? Well if I’m not her who is? That good for nothing reincarnation…ha.”

“You may have her face and her voice, but you don’t have her heart nor her soul, your just pure hate…and the Kikyo I know didn’t have an ounce of hate in her.”

Kikyo laughed “Come now Inuyasha stop playing games and fulfill your promise.”

“Kikyo died over fifty years ago, she’s been reincarnated, meaning she has moved on…” Kikyo just glared at him “And I have moved on as well.”

She gritted her teeth and turned on her heels “Then this is goodbye Inuyasha.” She took a few steps before quickly notching an arrow, turning back and released.

Inuyasha jumped out of the way. ‘Knew this was going to end the hard way.’ “Blades of blood.” He yelled only to hit a shield. “Damn.”

“Your so predictable.” She yelled releasing three more arrows. He dodged them all.

“Hey mutt face seeing as how your busy with your ex I‘ll just go to Kagome‘s aid…”

Inuyasha growled and sent a glared his way. “Blades of blood.” He yelled but it hit a shield once again.

“Otouto she’s a miko with five jewel shards…do you really think that will faze her.” Sesshomaru said as Inuyasha jumped into the air dodging more arrows.

Inuyasha gritted his teeth and unsheathed Tetsusaiga “Your right Kikyo.” He said landing in front of the Goshinboku. “This is goodbye.” He said a little above a whisper. Lifting Tetsusaiga above his head, he gather all his years of sorrow and pain, turned it into anger and transferred it to his fathers fang. “WIND SCAR!” Yellow thunderous light flew from the sword and straight toward Kikyo.

Her eyes frowned in anger, she released a few arrows, which easily passed through his attack. She released a horrifying cry as the wind scar tore her to pieces, drowning out Inuyasha cry.

When the dust settle and the group of observers uncovered their eyes, their jaws hit the floor. The five jewel shards lay on top of a pile of dust, but Inuyasha, he lay propped up against an uproot of the Goshinboku, with an arrow in his chest, missing his heart by a mere centimeter. One in his right side and another one in his left leg, blood flowed slowly but efficiently out of them. The force of the attack knocked him hard into the Goshinboku, giving him a rather nasty gash across the back of the head, his silver hair slowly turned scarlet as blood soaked it.

“CHICHI?!” Shippo cried out startling everyone. His heart pounded hard in chest, making it hard to breath, tears flowed down his cheeks but were hid by the rain. Before anyone could say anything Shippo darted over to him. “Chichi…” he called softly tapping him gently on the arm. “Come on Inuyasha this isn’t funny.” he said trying to yelled but only ended up crying harder. “Please wake up?” He said shaking him gently, but got no response. "Chichi!"
