Three hours and forty-five minutes until I have to pick her up…Inuyasha thought. He stared at his wall. Why could she talk to me in Japanese knowing damn well that I don't know any? Well I'll fix her wagon! I'll get on the computer and try to learn as much as I can in the little time I have! Now what did she say to me again… oh well that's hopeless! How would I remember what she was sayin' if it all sounded like gibberish?

Kagome was in her car on her way back to hotel, which she was staying for the two months she would be in America.

 

“Sis I'm hungry!” Sota exclaimed. It was the first thing he said since they got into the car. Kagome had almost forgot he was with her.

 

“Oh… um what do you want?”

 

“I don't know… just food I guess,” he answered.

 

“Gee thanks helpful.”

 

“That then.” He pointed to Wendy's.

 

“OK then I'll get you that, then we will go home.”

Inuyasha looked at the computer screen. How do you say that? Inuyasha thought. He looked at the screen having no clue how to say any of the words.

 

Inuyasha stood up and went into the kitchen to get him a Pepsi. He popped the tab and took a drink. This is too confusing… I'll just give up on it.

Kagome swiped the key card and opened the door with Sota's bag of food. She put it on the little glass table for him to eat.

 

“Where am I gonna stay when you're with Inuyasha?” Sota asked.

 

“I never thought about that…”

 

“I could stay here,” Sota suggested.

 

“And come back to the place in ruins? The only reason I'm going out tonight is because of you almost getting hit.”

 

“You don't trust me alone?” Sota asked sounding hurt.

 

“I didn't say that…” Kagome said. “I can't leave you—”

 

“Yeah you can! I won't ruin the hotel! I promise.” Sota crossed his fingers behind his back so his sister couldn't see it.

 

“If you do and I see it then you will be so dead. But it will be kinda fun whatchin' you clean it all up if you do…” Kagome threatened.

 

“C'mon! What makes you think I'd wreck the room?”

 

“I seen you're room before I moved out. I know what you can do to a room when you're alone…”

 

“Yeah like your room was in prize condition,” Sota defended.

 

“It was better than yours twerp.”

 

Kagome went into the bathroom to get her shower. This time she got her clothes. She got into the shower at 6:30.

Knock. Knock.

 

“Who is it?” Inuyasha asked gruffly.

 

“It's Kikyo! Babe, open up!”

 

“I thought I told you not to come back!” Inuyasha shouted.

 

“I'm sorry for all those mean things I said! I really am! I love you!” Kikyo cried.

 

“Well just so you know, the feeling ISN'T mutual!” Inuyasha shouted through the closed door.

 

“But… I… I… I thought you loved me!” Kikyo continued her fake crying.

 

Inuyasha smirked. “You thought I loved you? If I loved you then why do I have a date tonight?” He laughed.

 

“You have a date? We didn't decide to see other people!” Kikyo shouted. “Who is it? Do I know her?”

 

“Don't think so. She's from Japan.”

 

“Is her name Kagome?” Kikyo asked snobbishly.

 

“Yeah… how do you know her?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“That whore! She looks just like me! You miss me so you got a look-alike! Babe I forgive you!”

 

“Bitch, if you call me babe one more time…”

 

“Then what? You'll hit me?” Kikyo snickered.

 

He pulled a shirt on then stepped outside his house. “I gotta go.” Inuyasha got in his blue 2003 Ford Focus, started it up, then left Kikyo standing there looking at him as he left.

Kagome got out of the bathroom completely dressed with her make up on too. She was wearing a pair of snug-fitting blue jeans, a perfectly fitting red tee shirt, and her hair was down and wavy, like always.

 

She looked at the clock. 7:45. He'll be here in about fifteen minutes. Kagome walked over to the bed and sat on it. Sota was laying on it watching anime. “Sis, are you dressin' all up for Inuyasha?” Sota asked teasingly.

 

“No!”

 

“Sure! That's what they all say!”

 

“Sota you little twerp!” Kagome grabbed his ankle and pulled him down the bed.

 

He laughed. “Hey! Stop!”

 

“You'll call me if anything happens.” It wasn't a question.

 

“Yeah, yeah.”

 

“You will Sota.”

 

“I said `yeah'!”

 

There was a knock on the door, so Kagome looked at the clock. “It's only 7:47. Did you order room service?”

 

“No. I guess that means it's Inuyasha,” Sota teased.

 

“Twerp.” Kagome walked over to the door and opened it. “Oh hi. You're early.”

 

“No, I'm Inuyasha.”

 

Kagome looked at him flatly. “You know what I meant.”

 

“Ready?”

 

“Yeah. Sota you know my number if anything happens.”

 

“Yeah. Now shush! I'm watchin' my favorite show!”

 

Kagome stuck her tongue out at Sota, and then closed the door.

 

The two went to the elevator and to the first floor. “Let's go,” Inuyasha said. They left for the place Inuyasha was taking Kagome for dinner. She didn't know where they were going, or how long they would be gone. All she knew was this was going to be a night they would both remember.

And there you are! I would like to thank squeeker for my first review! I wonder what Sota will do to the hotel room he and his sister share? Evil smile* I guess you'll see when I write it! MUAHAHA*cough cough*HAHAHA! Why will this be a night to remember? Why are Kagome and Sota staying in a hotel when they should be in a motel? Well that is because I had to have it this way!
