Kagome's Dream

“Inuyasha! Be careful!” Kagome yelled.

“What do you think I'm trying to do?” he asked sarcastically.

“Well from here it looks like you are trying to get killed!” she argued.

“Don't worry! I got it!”

“You better not die! I won't live long enough to take care of our son if you do…”

“Don't talk like that! Ronin will always have both his parents!” Inuyasha spoke with both worry and love.

“Kagome, don't worry,” Sango soothed, “he's too stubborn to die.”

“I guess you're right…”

“She is, Lady Kagome, Sango is very right. There have been many times when he could have died, but wouldn't because he had to see that Naraku was dead and you were safe. Trust me, he won't die.” Miroku sighed.

“Yeah, I know but it's just the thought—”

“Don't think and you won't have the thought, Lady Kagome.”

Kagome looked at him flatly. “You have such a way with words, Miroku.”

“But he has a point,” Sango pointed out.

“I didn't say he didn't have a point but not thinking renders me helpless. Thoughts are what make the world what it will be.”

“I would have said that we are very sophisticated and advanced three years ago, but since you came with all this knowledge of knew technology I have to say otherwise,” Miroku said.

Kagome and Sango looked at him like he had lost his mind and found a new one, after all he did sound like he did. But of course he had to ruin it when he put his hand on Sango's bottom.

“Miroku! You are gonna die!” Sango shouted. “Get your hand off me!” She slapped him really hard right across the face.

Kagome shook her head. “All that intelligence wasted on a lecher.”

Sango shook her head in agreement. “Yeah, what a shame.”

“Hey don't talk about me like I ain't here! I can hear every cruel word you say!”

“So if we say polite words you won't hear us then?” Kagome asked sarcastically.

Miroku sighed in defeat. “OK. You win. I was in the wrong.”

Kagome and Sango smiled. “You had to admit it someday.”

Inuyasha laughed. He was still engaged in battle with Naraku.

“Inuyasha!” Kagome said. “I forgot about you!”

“Oh gee thanks! Good to know that the love of my life forgets about me so easily.”

“I didn't mean it like that and you know it!” Kagome laughed.

“Um… I think we should kill Naraku and then talk,” Sango proposed.

“Good idea!”

Kagome got out an arrow and placed it in position in her bow. Sango threw her giant boomerang (A/N: I don't know how to spell the real name of it (blushes).) Miroku knew he couldn't use his wind tunnel since it was injured three days ago, so he got his staff to use. Of course Inuyasha had his Tetsusaiga out to cut that fat, ugly, stupid head off of Naraku's shoulders.

Kagome released her arrow and it hit Naraku in the arm. “Damn I missed!” She had picked up on Inuyasha's vocabulary in the four years she had spent with him.

Naraku laughed his cruel laugh that had always sent chills down Kagome's spine. “You think you can kill me?” He laughed again. “Kagura kill them. I don't want to waste my sweat on them.”

“No.” She said it plainly, understandingly, and firmly. Kagura wasn't going to help Naraku.

“What did you say?”

“I said `no'.” Her voice was still firm. She didn't quaver at all.

No one, especially Naraku, knew why she had suddenly changed sides. Inuyasha didn't think he could trust her until he remembered the time she had seen him in human form and she hadn't said anything to Naraku about it. It took a lot to gain Inuyasha's trust, and she had half-won it in a few seconds. He still didn't think he could totally trust her; she was made from Naraku's body.

Kagome was confused. This was her dream and she thought that the dreams of fighting with him were true. If that was true, then why was she helping them?

She sat straight up. Inuyasha and Sota were hovering over her. “Are you OK?” Sota asked.

“I'm fine.”

“Are you sure?” Inuyasha asked. “You just passed out and—”

“How long?”

“About an hour. Sesshomaru,” Inuyasha glared at him, “wouldn't stop. He just kept on going.”

“We can't let Kagura catch us,” Sesshomaru reminded him.

“Yeah we can.”

Everyone, even Sesshomaru who was driving, looked at her. Sesshomaru quickly whipped his head back to the road.

“What?” Inuyasha asked.

“She will be on our side.”

“What?” he asked again.

“Kagura will be on our side. She tricks Naraku, somehow…”

“What?” Jaken asked. It was the first time he had spoken in hours.

“You heard me toad boy.”

Jaken was about to say something but then closed his mouth, fearing the wrath of Kagome.

Kagura was pleased. Kagome was a quick learner. Now all Kagome had to learn was how they kill Naraku. She will learn that soon enough, but it has to be before they get to Detroit. Kagura got out that same little feather. Kagome, you will tell them everything they need to know.

Kagome passed out again.

Kagome's Dream

“How is Kagura supposed to help?” Inuyasha asked grumpily.

“She knows where Naraku is hiding. She also knows all his weaknesses,” Kagome reminded him.

Everyone was asleep… well almost everyone. Inuyasha and Kagome were up in a tree like always. They started sleeping up there since before Kagome had gotten pregnant.

Kagome often thought of Ronin when they weren't with him. Inuyasha and herself would never let him come back with them when they were after Naraku. It was too dangerous.

There was a loud thud then a crash and then the sound of Naraku's laugh. Everyone was up in a flash.

Inuyasha stood up in the tree he was in. Kagome still couldn't get up as quick as him.

“Well if it isn't the hanyou and his woman.”

“Well at least I can get a woman!” Inuyasha retorted.

Naraku's smile faded. “You will die, Inuyasha.”

“I don't think so!” Kagura cut in.

“Kagura.”

“In the flesh.” She smiled a very cruel smile. She swished a feather and the wind blew towards Naraku. He could barely keep his footing. “Inuyasha use Wind Scar, the wind I have will make it twice as strong. Then after that, Kagome shoot an arrow at him. Aim for the spider mark on him.”

“ Got it!” Inuyasha said.

“Yeah!”

“Wind Scar!” Inuyasha moved his sword towards Naraku and the blast was a direct hit. Not even ten seconds after that Kagome shot the arrow she had ready and hit his spider mark.

Then Sesshomaru showed up. “Little brother.”

“Sesshomaru! What the Hell are you doing here?”

“You will need my help.”

“I will the fuck not!” Inuyasha yelled. He felt Kagome place her hand on his shoulder. When he turned to face her she shook her head. “What?”

“You know that he wants Naraku dead too. He may be help.”

“Yeah I know but—”

“But nothing. Naraku killed Rin, and he wants revenge. He may be really good help.”

“Listen to your woman, Inuyasha, she knows what she is talking about.”

“OK. You can help.”

Kagome giggled. “Were you two always like this?”

“What do you mean?” Inuyasha asked her.

“Did you always have to give him permission to help with stuff?”

“No.”

Just then Naraku threw out one of those nasty tentacle things out and grabbed Kagome. “Help me, Inuyasha!”

Naraku's grip was getting tighter on her as the moments passed. How was he going to help? He couldn't use his sword because that would endanger Kagome, and he couldn't get to close because he would be in the same predicament Kagome was in now. “Kagome!”

“I… can't… breath!” Kagome choked out.

“Kagome!” Inuyasha ran towards her.

Naraku dropped her. She wasn't breathing…she was dead. “Kagome… please don't die… I love you.”

“Brother, move.”

“Why? You can't change it!” Inuyasha was ready to tear someone's head off. Not just anyone, just Naraku.

“Yes I can. Move.”

“How?”

“With Tenseiga.”

“Then don't just talk about it, bring her back!”

Inuyasha moved away and Sesshomaru stepped closer. He cut right through Kagome and she took a deep breath.

Her breathing steadied and she looked at Inuyasha. “Your mother said `hi'.” She smiled.

He ran over to her and gave her the biggest bear hug in the history of the world. “I love you, Kagome. I thought I lost you!”

“You did.”

Kagome got up off the ground with the help of Inuyasha.

Naraku was pissed. He knew he was done with now.

Kagura did the same thing with the feather. “Inuyasha do what you did last time, and Kagome the same goes for you! Sango, you need to use your weapon and cut threw him. Then Miroku, use Wind Tunnel to suck up the top half.”

“But it has been injured,” Sango said. “Won't it suck him up too?”

“No,” Miroku answered.

“How would you know?” Sango asked.

“He would be dead. My Wind Tunnel would disappear when he would enter it.”

Inuyasha used Wind Scar again, Kagome shot him again, Sango cut through him, and Miroku sucked up the top half.

The jewel shards he had were all lying on the ground. He did have a nice amount of them. Kagome walked over and picked them up. They purified as soon as she touched them. They fused together when she put them together like a puzzle. The Shikon Jewel was whole for the first time in four years. Kagome did the last thing anyone thought she would; she handed it to Inuyasha.

“Why are you handing it to me?” he asked.

“When I first met you, you wanted it to become full demon. Now that I love you, I can't keep you from your wish.” Kagome was close to tears. She knew she was, and she knew everyone else knew.

“What if my wish changed?”

Kagome looked up at him. “What?”

“You are the protector of the Shikon Jewel, you should have it.” He handed it back.

“What would I wish for?”

“I don't know. But don't make it selfish or the Shikon will be tainted.”

“I wish that there will always be an equal balance between good and evil in the world.” The Shikon disappeared.

“I love you, Kagome,” Inuyasha said moving closer to her.

“I love you too. Now let's go tell Ronin what happened.”

“I'm not telling him that his mom died and was brought back by his Uncle Fluffy,” Inuyasha teased.

“Good bye Inuyasha. Tell Ronin that Uncle Fluffy said `hi'…”

Everyone's eyes went large. Sesshomaru smiled for the first time. “And that I love him.”

Kagome was the first to say something. “OK, we will.”

“Good.”

Sesshomaru walked away.

“Now that was weird!” Inuyasha said. He knew Sesshomaru could still hear him. “I never knew that giant fuzz ball had a heart.”

Sesshomaru turned around and looked at his brother. He smiled for the second time. “I didn't know that the twig had a sense of humor.” Then for the first he laughed. It was a very deep, full-hearted laugh. “Bring Ronin to see me sometime.”

“Will do,” Kagome said.

“Let's go see Ronin. Sango, Miroku we will be staying in her time tonight. I need a bed!”

Kagome laughed. She hugged everyone. “Bye-bye.”
