Me: Well guys, guess what? You have hit the five hundred mark of people reading my story! It just keeps going up and up. I promise there is going to be a shoot up of romance and drama coming up now that Kagome is back, or is she. You'll have to figure it out on your own. Need more reviews or hits before I post the next chapter! I noticed that in the last chapter I used something like the third movie, but I promise you, I thought of it before I even saw it. If you don't believe me then too bad because I really did. I just used the name of Sesshomaru's attack for the movie. That's all.
On with the story!
Inuyasha sat in the tree over looking all his friends, and someone special. `Kagome.' He thought as the scent of her newly shampooed hair wafting to him.
`One day you will be mine. Then you will stay with me always.' He thought drifting off into sleep.
In her sleeping bag Kagome was too thinking about Inuyasha. `Did he really mean what he said all those times I saw him? Or was I just dreaming or something? I don't even really remember what happened. It all happened so fast. I remember dieing then I was talking to Inuyasha then I was falling from the sky. Does he really love me?'
She worried herself to a light sleep.
Inuyasha was first one up as usual. He stood in the tree and silently jumped down. He walked over to the cold creek for a drink of water. He looked up at the sky and said, “Kagome, you will know soon. I just have to wait for the right moment.”
On his way back to the campsite he caught the warm smell of breakfast cooking of the fire. He took a deep whiff. `Kagome.'
Kagome was next to the fire flipping bacon around on her skillet. She saw Inuyasha come back from the stream and walking over to her.
“What are you cooking?” he asked intrigued by her and what she was cooking. “It's called bacon.” She said. “When will it be ready?” he asked his mouth watering from the smell. “Soon.” She giggled.
He sat down next to her and took a deep breath. “Kagome, when you and me are done eating, will you go on a walk with me before anyone else wakes up?” he asked nervously. She looked up and into his face. “Of course.” She answered. She looked around at all of her friends. They were still asleep since the sun hadn't even risen yet.
She took the bacon carefully off the skillet and on to a plate for her and Inuyasha and the others. She grabbed two for herself as he took four stripes. They ate in silence watching the sun rise.
Kagome finished and picked up her water bottle and took a quick drink. Inuyasha had been done, scarfing down his. He stood up and offered her his hand. She took it and he raised her up. They walked all the way to the spring a mile away before talking.
“Kagome, how did you come back?” he asked her. She thought about it for a little while and answered, “I don't know Inuyasha. But I'm glad I did.” He was disappointed for a few seconds but it faded away as soon as she said, “Inuyasha? I remember what you said every time that you saw me.”
She couldn't look him in the face. She wished she could take back the works that just escaped her mouth. “You do?” he asked breathlessly. She nodded slowly.
She gasped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and looked him in the face. She saw a look on his face she had only seen him use with Kikyo. “Inuyasha...” she whispered.
He face inched closer to hers when suddenly a shout came from the campsite. Kagome didn't hear it and was puzzled when Inuyasha had looked up. “That sounds like Miroku.” He said urgently. “Well lets go.” She said climbing on his back.
They rushed back to the campsite to find Miroku with his robes burnt and a cherry red hand print on his face. There was a very pissed off Sango next to him, her hand up in a slapping position.
Kagome crawled off Inuyasha's back and asked, “What happened to your robes Miroku?” “After he groped me I slapped him and his robes caught on fire!” Sango answered for him as she sat down on her sleeping mat in a huff.
Kagome shook her head. “Here Miroku, put this on the burn.” She handed him some relief cream. He thanked her and started rubbing all over himself.
“Kagome, what's for breakfast?” Shippo asked sleepily crawling into her lap. “Bacon, me and Inuyasha have already eaten, so help yourself Shippo.” She gestured to the plate of luke warm bacon.
“Smells good Kagome, thank you.” Sango said helping herself to some.
`You've got to tell her some time. Better now than later.' Inuyasha reasoned with himself. `No I can't now. She just got here and everything is not perfect. I have to do something to show that I care about her, more than Kikyo, at least the Kikyo I fell in love with a long time ago.'
“Inuyasha, are you alright?” Kagome asked leaning into his face. He was in deep thought as jumped back five feet when he saw Kagome right in front of his face. “Don't do that!” he yelled.
She sighed, `He's never going to change.' “I want to go back to my own time for a little while, ok Inuyasha?” she asked. “I'm going with you.” He stated.
Kagome looked over at her friends. Sango moved her eyes to say `Let him go with you.' Miroku just smiled a perverted smile at her. She glared at him. Shippo was watching a butterfly from on Sango's shoulder. “I'll see you guys later.” She said getting on Inuyasha's back and heading to the well.
Kagome walked in the shrine door with Inuyasha following. “Mom!” she called out. “Kagome, is that you?” her mom called out running down the stairs.
“Mom, I'm so sorry.” Kagome said hugging her mom. “What happened to you?” she asked looking her daughter over.
“Let's go talk it over.” Kagome said walking with her mom and Inuyasha to her living room. She and Inuyasha explained it the best they could, but Inuyasha had left out everything about Kikyo and Naraku being alive.
“Mom, I would stay but I need to go to the feudal era because there are things I need to do. But I will be coming back soon, I promise.” She said standing up and walking outside with Inuyasha.
They both jumped though the well and as soon as they were on the other side Inuyasha grabbed her wrist and said, “Come with me. I didn't tell you everything.”
She followed him, no idea what he was talking about. He led her to the same place they were at this morning and pulled her close. “Kagome, I didn't tell you everything that happened when you were away.” He started.
She swallowed, “What else was there?”
“Well, first of all Naraku didn't really die. It was another demon puppet. He took away the wind tunnel and Kouhaku and made it seem like he was dead. He is also mated with Kikyo, who turned out not to be gone any more either.” He took a deep breath.
She had a look of surprise on her face of what he was telling her. “Also she is a demon. She attacked the little girl that Sesshomaru is always with then framed me with her. He not hates me and walked off as soon as you fell from the sky. And Kaede is really sick. She's doing better though because we are treating her.”
“How could all of this world crumble when I was gone? I can't believe this, how all this could have happed.” she said. Suddenly a thought registered in her mind. “Kaede is sick? Take me to her!”
“Ok. But first I need to tell you something I found out too.” He said nervously. `Now or never. Here goes.'
But when he saw the look of worry on her face, he stopped. He couldn't do this now. She was not in a good mood. “Never mind. Let's go.” He said letting her get on his back and they went back to the village.
Well that's chapter 6! I know it is a bit confusing and it's not one of my best chapters, but oh well. I like it. I promise that there is a lot of fluff and romance and drama coming! Promise! Just hang on with me. Good things can't be rushed, so some dude said. I need reviews!
That's all folks!
