" Good riddance." Inuyasha said as Kouga left. "I'd of given him such a hurt."
"Yeah right." Kagome said rolling her eyes and walking on.
Kitsune just followed behind Kagome, as did Sango and Miroku leaving Inuyasha behind. Inuyasha growled and followed as well, hating that he was being ignored.

When Sesshoumaru returned without Kitsune, Jaken was confused. " Where is the half-breed M'Lord?" he asked. " I thought you were bringing her back for Rin."
Sesshoumaru said nothing. He walked into the castle and ignored the green demon. Rin came up to him.
" welcome back M'Lord." she said smiling sweetly. " I missed you." She beamed. Sesshoumaru just patted her on the head. " where is Lady Kitsune?" she asked. " I liked her..she was nice."
" I'm thinking about wether or not I'd want to help her, in order to bring her here." he said. " She wants me to kill Naraku for her....in exchange for her taking care of you."
" I want her to come back." Rin said. " Can you help her?" she asked. Sesshoumaru shifted his gaze down to her.
" We'll see." he said then walked away from Rin.
He did some heavy pondering for a day.. He wasn't known for helping people. He didn't see the point in doing so. If he wanted something done, he did it himself. Unlike Naraku who sent people out to do his dirty work for him. If he helped destroy Naraku for Kitsune, she would willing come and take care of Rin for him.
As much as he was used to seeing the girl following him, it wasn't safe for her to keep doing so. He had to save her numerous times because a demon was after her. If she stayed here with Kitsune, she could take care of her, while he went off to do his business without worry.
Rin also needed a woman figure in her life. He was a male Daiyokai. He was strong and he knew nothing about female matters, or human matters for that reason. Seeing that Kitsune used to be human and she was a female so she was a good choice. She also had a child before so she knew what to do.
He finally decided. He would go back to her, and take her away from Inuyasha and his friends. He would lead her right to where Naraku was and then they would destroy him. He went to Jaken. " I want you to keep an eye on Rin. I'll be gone for a while, helping the half breed kill that bastard Naraku." he said and then walked out.
It wasn't hard to track the scents of Kitsune, and Inuyasha. He walked slowly towards them. They were at least a day away from his current location and he could catch up to them no problem if he rode on his cloud.
He wasn't too eager to spar verbally with his brother. He'd come up to them casually. He knew that it wouldn't be simple enough to just get Kitsune and leave....someone, would probably cause some sort of rukus. Most likely it wouuld be Inuyasha.
He was going over everything in his head. He put on a burst of speed and walked faster. He was eager to just do this and get it over with. He was a few miles behind the group. He changed his direction and came up beside them.

Kitsune never thought in a million years that Sesshoumaru would come for her. But she smelled him before she saw him. He came up to their left and stood there looking at them.
" Come on female half-breed." he said. " We're leaving." he came over to her and looked down at her. Kitsune just stared up at him.
" I didn't think you'd come back." she said.
" Well Obviously I did....." he said rolling his eyes. " now lets go." He said again and turned on his heel and headed into the forest. Kitsune didn't move. "Now half breed!" he called back to her.
" Erm....I guess I'm going." she said to the others.
Inuyasha didn't look at her. Kagome glared at Inuyasha then turned to Kitsune. " It was nice meeting you Kitsune. I hope you avenge your son." she smiled and gave her a small hug.
Shippo looked to Kitsune and frowned as he got off her shoulder before she left. " Goodbye Kitsune." he said. Sango and Miroku wished her luck and then Kitsune followed an impatient Sesshoumaru into the forest.

She caught up to the Daiyokai. " do you know where he is?" she asked as she came up beside him.
" More or Less." he said. " He's in the mountains, where I do not know exactly." he told her. " We'll find him."
" So once he's dead, I'm Rin's caretaker." she said. He looked at her.
" yes, that was what we agreed on." said Sesshomaru. " That is the only reason I am helping you."
" Alright." she said staring straight ahead as the walked. He had a quick pace and she was trying to keep up with his long strides. " Do you mind slowing down? I know you want to get this over with, but we don't need to go at such a fast speed. " she looked at him. He gradually slowed down. " Thank you." Sesshoumaru just nodded.

That night she asked if they could rest for the night. She knew he wanted to walk all the way there with no stops, but he finnaly let her make a fire and get something to eat. " Do you want some?" she asked offereing him some fish. He shook his head.
Sesshoumaru who was standing nearby eventually sat across from her. The flames reflected in his golden eyes, and his silver hair. She watched him fron across the fire as she ate. " Thanks for helping me." she said.
" I'm only helping you to get what I want." he said. " Once Naraku is dead, you'll be watching Rin and I wont have to deal with you that much." he looked away.
" Are you always this mean?" she asked. He looked back and narrowed his eyes at her.
" I am not "mean" as you put it." he said. " I'm just myself. I see no reason in associating with humans or half breeds, for they are below me. I only am demeaning myself, because I'm getting something I want." he explained.
" Friends and family aren't that bad to have you know. Reguardless of their breeding." she said. " If you were nicer, you'd be a greater person." she said. " Just being like you are, holds you back. Think of what you can achieve if you grew a heart?"
" What exactly would I acheive?" he asked arching an eyebrow.
" Comrades. Men at arms..." she said. " Someone who will protect you? Fight with you?"
" I don't need help fighting or do I need anyone to protect me." he said. " I'm a Inu Yokai....I'm powerful."
" What about a mate? Someone to love?" she asked
" Love, is a worthless emotion." he said cooly. " It will only bring you down in the end."
" That is so untrue.." she said. " I was glad I loved Ryukiba and Aisuru...I wouldn't have ever chosen not to." said Kitsune..
" That is because you're a female...and was once human. You are still part human, which is why you have such emotions." he explained.
" Now you are being sexest." She glared at him. " Haven't you ever loved anyone? Ever?" she asked.
" Not that I can recall." he said. " Nor do I plan on loving anyone in the future."
" You are going to miss out on something really special." she said. " Because falling in love...makes you feel great. Its the greatest feeling being in love. Its not worthless. If you gave it a try, you would see how much it is worth it." she said.
She stopped there. She finished her fish and tossed the bones. Kitsune looked away and tried to rest for the night.
