The sun rose across the deserted plain as the hero's gathered together to form a plan for the battle that was soon to begin. They were still a littl shaken up from the strange occurences that happened last night as many hidden emotions came rushing out. They forced themselves however to push their personal feelings aside as they steeled themselves for battle.
"Naraku will undoubtedly summon hordes of zombies to fight us and try to weaken us. It is for this purpose that Inuyasha, Azrael, Koga, myself, and the miko will try and break through his forces and hit him hard and fast." Sesshomaru declared.
"Why is Kagome going?" Bankotsu asked. "I don't mind fighting, but still she's the weakest out of all of us. She can't stand her ground out there."
"She may not be physically strong but we'll undoubtedly need her spiritual powers. Too bad Kikyo hasn't shown up yet." Azrael declared as he nervously rubbed the spot on his back where one of his jewel shards resided.
"You okay man?" Inuyasha asked noticing Azrael's actions.
"Yeah I'm fine." Azrael muttered. He looked towards the direction Naraku had come from yesterday and felt an ominous presence coming forth.
"It looks like Naraku has graciously brought the battle to us." Miroku commented as he stood next to Sango. Inuyasha looked worried as his comrades got ready.
"Don't worry Inuyasha. We're not about to let Naraku kill us." Sango said playfully." We've got to be there for your and Kagome's wedding."
"WHAT!" Inuyasha and Kagome exclaimed in unison. They had been in such ecstasy last night as they kissed and talked that the thought of marriage had never crossed their minds.
"Heh, I guess you will now won't you. I'm holding you to that promise. Shippo, Kirara, make sure nothing happens to them okay." Inuyasha said, to everyone's surprise.
"Really?" Kagome asked shocked that Inuyasha was the one to respond.
"You do want to don't you?" Inuyasha said worried he had said something wrong.
"YES!" Kagome excalimed joyfully as she jumped into his arms.
"I hate to break this up, but looks like we've got company." Koga said as Naraku arrived on the horizon. Koga instantly got infront of Ayame to protect her.
"Don't worry about me, you've got your orders and so do I." Ayame wispered in his ear as she summoned her blade of wind.
"Don't worry Inuyasha I'll watch out for them." Shippo said as Inuyasha looked back on his group of friends. It was hard to believe that after all they'd been through they might actually be able to complete their goal. But still a dark thought loomed in everyone's mind, was the price of victory so great that it should cost one of them their lives.
"Rin wear this." Azrael said as he covered Rin with his cloak."It should help to keep you safe in case anything should happen to us."
"Thank you Azrael. But I'm not worried, Lord Sesshomaru will save me if anything bad happens." Rin said joyfully. Azrael noticed the small smile on Sesshomaru's lips as he nodded in gratitude towards Azrael.
"All right, let's move out!" Sesshomaru declared as he drew Tetseiga. Inuyasha had Kagome on his back as he followed Sesshomrau. Azrael and Koga followed suit also as they prepared themselves for battle. Shippo ran behind them with Bankotsu all ready running at full speed anticipating the battle ahead. Ayame, Hakkaku, Ginta, and the wolves fell a little behind the other's in case Naraku tried to trap them by having some demon's attack them from behind. Miroku and Sango patrolled the skies on top of Kirara.
"This is it. The final battle." Miroku said as they flew towards Naraku. "At least if we die, I'll be glad to have died with you Sango."
"Miroku..."Sango blushed before she regained her senses. "Don't be so morbid we're gonna win."
" I'm sure we will." Miroku said smiling even though in his heart he knew they didn't stand a good chance.
"Heh, like lambs to the slaughter." Naraku mused as he drew forth Sounga. "Now feel the wrath of Sounga!"
"Kagome NOW!" Inuyasha yelled as Kagome launched a sacred arrow at Sounga. Before Sounga could summon forth the Dragon Twister it was hit by Kagome's sacred arrow. The evil aura surrounding disperesed for a second which gave Inuyasha and Sesshomaru time to get close enough to try and stop Naraku.
"Fools, you should know full well Sounga isn't my only weapon!" Naraku yelled as he jumped into the air. With a flick of his wrists demons, humans, creatures of all sorts started coming out from beneath the ground.
"Time to get to work." Miroku declared as he started chunking sacred sutra's at some demon's. Sango's Hiraikotsu destroyed anything it it's wake. Ayame along with the rest of the wolf demons started an assault on the demon's that tried unsuccesfully to try and attack the hero's closest to Naraku. Shippo's fox fire incinerated anything it came across, which was pretty much everything. Inuyasha, Azrael, Koga, and Sesshomaru attacked in quick succesions with their blades but each time they were thrown back by Naraku's sheer force. They were unsuccesful at every attempt they tried finally in an act of desperation Koga transformed into his lupine form.
"Heh, so the wolf can transform...how cute." Naraku declared as he backhanded the snarling lupine form of Koga into the ground. "Mutt's shoud stay at their master's feet."
Naraku scolded. At this time Inuyasha and Sesshomaru launched a combo attack. Sesshomaru used his energy whip to grab hold of Naraku's arm holding Sounga, Inuyasha then launched his attack.
"WIND SCAR!" Inuyasha yelled as the wind scar ripped from his blade. The attack hit a shocked Naraku head on. For a moment everyone stopped fighting to watch to see what happened to Naraku. The smoke from the attack began to disperse when suddenly two tentacles snaked out from the smoke. The tentacles grabbed Sesshomaru and Inuyasha by the throats and hurled them head first into the deep ravine that known as the Valley of Death.
Naraku's appearance looked a little ruffled but besides that you could barely tell the attack had hit him at all.
"For you two I have a very special surprise." Naraku stated coldy as his eyes glowed. On the Valley's floor Inuyasha and Sesshomaru looked at the ground below to see a shocking form come out of the ground. The zombie Naraku had summoned was the last person they would have guessed.
"FATHER!" Inuyasha and Sesshomaru yelled in unison as Inutaisho stood before them ready to fight!
