Disclaimer: He's mine! Yes I own Inuyasha… bwahahaha you can't have him! *Yelps as lawyers tackle her down* I was kidding! I don't own him! Noooo! I don't wanna be sue'd! Mercy!!!!
I was in total, disbelief. This couldn't be happening! I was human…. A strange human, but human nonetheless! I began to think frantically on how this could happen, thinking back to when and where I had been. Yes the fountain in the maze! I was leaning close to it, starting at the water. Perhaps I fell forward and struck my head against the fountains rocky edge. Yes that must be it! I nodded to myself, trying to ignore the weight upon my brow, the smell of the air, the sounds that surrounded me, and the way my skin seemed to twitch as a butterfly found it's way to my back and landed upon it. This had to be some kind of dream! But how was I to make myself wake up? What was the old saying? Something about pain.. something to jerk you awake… pinch me… am I dreaming… that's it! I'll pinch myself and there won't be any pain, or I'll wake up and all this will go away! I tried to life my arm so I could give it a pinch, only to belatedly realize my arm was now a slender foreleg, and my hand was now and pearly hoof. Hmm, how to do this. I tried to find a way to pinch me, and then realized I obviously still had teeth. And I knew a bite with the teeth of an equine could be painful, since a feisty horse had once bitten me. I rolled my tongue over my teeth, finding those said teeth I had been thinking about and with a sigh, twisted my neck around, clenched my eyes tightly shut, and sank my teeth into the soft skin of my shoulder. The pain was so sharp and intense, I yanked my head away with a sharp pained squeal, and without thinking, leaped too my feet… or make that hooves unsteadily, feeling something silky and long lash back sharply against my sides…or make that flanks. It struck me then. Dear God above, this was no dream. I was truly in this body! I raised my head up, feeling tears stream down my face and gave a wailing cry to the sky, fear and sorrow striking me hard against my poor pounding heart. What was I to do? Where was I, how did I get here, and why was I in this form? I hung my head, snorting faintly in distress and finally really took in my surroundings. I was obviously in some kind of forest near water. The air and land felt different as well, not like at home. I'm not sure how else to explain it. But there was a kind of cleanliness of the air, the land felt young, new, as if my home had felt abused, old and wise in it's strange way. I took a deep breath of the air, tasting how clean it was, obviously there was no pollution to the air. That had to mean I was either in a different plane of existence, or else I had somehow transported back into the past before any kind of machinery that began the pollution to the planet was invented. I still gazed around, watching as animals began to scurry around. Birds sang within the trees, insects busied themselves with their little activities to live. The wind blew threw the trees to brush across my body, making me shiver with a quiver of delight as I also found my sense of touch of intensified severely. I once again felt the little butterfly upon my back flutter it's wings and shift across my coat, making me snort and twist my slender neck around to glance at it. I was slowly becoming accustomed to being in this body, which surprised me as the fear began to slip away. I hesitantly took a step forward, feeling my new muscles shift beneath my skin, strange bones lifting and supporting my frame as I took another hesitant step forward. I found myself now fully beside the water, able to see my entire body in the slow ever shifting movements of the water. I inhaled through my nostrils as I took in my form.
