Kagome walked back into Kaede's hut. “So what did I miss?” She questioned as took a seat next to Sango. “We were just discussing about Inuyasha and you.” Miroku answered. “So did you mark him back Kagome?” The monk questioned. “Yeah...suppose I did.” She exclaimed with a blush on her face. “Speaking of Inuyasha…where is he?” Sango asked while looking around. “Oh well he was just right outside, I kinda `sat' him, but your right he shoulda came back in by now and yelling.” Kagome replied as she rose to her feet and walked back out of the hut. The rest of the group followed after her. “Soul collectors?” Miroku spoke. “that means Kikyo must be near by.” Kagome faintly replied while starting to clench her fist…she walked over to the hut and grabbed her bow and arrows. “He went after her, I know it! Why after what we dicussed why would he go after to her again.” Kagome thought to herself and started to frown.

 

“Kagome where are you going?” Sango yelled out to the woman runnig in the distance. “To find Inuyasha.” Kagome replied while running even faster, a worried look started to appear on her face. “I'm so stupid to have believed him, believed that he actually changed…” tears started welling up in her eyes. She continued running through the dark, lonesome forest. Chasing after the soul collectors that graciously past by her. “Wait Kagome, comeback.” Sango yelled in a worried tone then started to chase after her. Sango was intercepted by Miroku who grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back towards him. “No Sango, let her go…by herself.” He spoke in a serious tone. “Well…ok…but its dangerous out there.” Sango replied while removing Miroku's hands from her waist. “Kagome can handle herself, trust me, if she can tolerate and handle Inuyasha, she is able to defend herself.” Miroku spoke while turning to walk back to the hut. Kaede followed after Miroku…Sango trailed after her…slowly.

 

“Damn you Inuyasha, why must you do this crap to me.” Kagome growled to herself while continuing to the forest. She came to a stop behind a tree, glaring at Inuyasha who was confronted by Kikyo. “Inuyasha, why won't you come to hell with me?” Kikyo asked in a dead, cold tone. “I don't love you anymore Kikyo, you're my past and I'm living in the present. The only promise I'll keep to you is avenging your death against Naraku. Nothing more.” Inuyasha spoke firmly then crossing his arms. “But, I thought you still loved me, I thought that you would be with me…you promised me.” Kikyo spoke seductive as she walked up to Inuyasha and wrapped her arms around him. “She better not! Get your hands off of him!” Kagome thought angrlily while clenching her fists once again, digging her nails into her own flesh. “No I never promised you anything. All I promised was to avenge your death, no strings attached. He said while taking her arms and pushing her way from him. “I love Kagome, I've made her my mate and anything between is done. Yeah I loved you, long ago, but that was then and this is now. And you are not who I want to be with. “Inuyasha…No you will go to hell with me!” Kikyo yelled as she ran back up to Inuyasha, squeezed him tightly and forcefully kissed him. Kagome's heart started beating rapidly…she had felt relieved about Inuyasha defending her but she also felt so much hatred for Kikyo…watching the woman kissing `her' man.

 

“Get your hands off of him!” Kagome yelled. She then started drawing her bow and arrow and pointing directly at Kikyo. “Kagome, what are you doing here?” Inuyasha yelled, demanding a answer. “Yes Kagome, why must you disturb a precious moment between Inuyasha & I? don't you realize he is mine?” Kikyo quickly snapped and started to grin devilishly at Kagome. Inuyasha quickly pulled from Kikyo's embrace and made his way to Kagome, snatching her bow and arrow from her. “Why are you stopping me Inuyasha?” Kagome yelled then shoved Inuyasha. “I'm not letting you two fight…and feeling responsible for your deaths.” Inuyasha responded. “Kikyo leave, do not bother me ever again. There is nothing between us. Trust me I look forward to avenging your death and casting you away from this world. You don't belong here!” Inuyasha growled as he turned to Kikyo. “Very well Inuyasha, yes I agree I don't belong in this world…But neither does she. Remember she came across you by chance.” Kikyo emotionlessly responded while disappearing into the sky.

 

Kagome looked sadly at Inuyasha then to the ground…tears started trickling off her face. “Kagome, why are you crying? Inuyasha questioned softly as he walked up to Kagome and wiped the tears from her eyes. “Nothing Inuyasha…” Kagome responded while putting her arms around Inuyasha, embracing him tightly and planting her head into is haori. Inuyasha looked down and lightly moved her face up to meet with his. “Kagome, you know I love you. I know that you probably are upset because I went to Kikyo…But I only did it to tell her that I don't want her and that I'm with you.” Inuyasha said as he then gave Kagome a light smile and bent down and placed a kiss upon her lips. “Oh Inuyasha, I'm so glad you are with me.” Kagome cried out and wrapped her arms around Inuyashas neck and passionately kissed him back. Inuyasha gently pulled back from Kagome and scooped her into his arms. “Comon Kagome lets go back, I'm sure their worried about you.” Inuyasha gently spoke and smiled softly at Kagome. “Ok.” Kagome replied with a yawn and laid her head against Inuyashas chest, grinning contently.

 

Inuyasha appeared in the opeming of the hut door, with Kagome asleep in his arms. “IS she ok?!” Sango quickly called out, jumping to her feet. “Relax, she is fine she is just sleeping…geez Sango, what are you her mother?” Inuyasha giggled as she walked over to the futon and place Kagome on it. He pulled the blanket over her and gently kissed her head. “Well…no its just she went running off after you, and I knew Kikyo was involved…but…damn I don't know I was just concerned that's all.” Sango replied with a embarrassed look on her face. “What is up with Sango? She is acting weird.” Inuyasha leaned over and whispered to Miroku. “Hmm I don't know but I doubt its anything serious, you know Sango was probably just worried because she looks at Kagome as a sister. I mean I must admit they have bonded a lot over the past 2 years.” Miroku replied to Inuyasha in a whisper. “Yeh I guess so.” Inuyasha sighed then turned and looked at Kagome with a smile on his face.

 

“I don't know how to break the news to you Kagome…but there something Ima need to tell you.” Inuyasha thought to himself as he stared at his beautiful mate. “I hope you aren't upset or surprised.”
