Seiya watches her mother fall to the ground as more youkai attack. Rin awakens and they all head to the battlefield. Jaken carries his master to tend to his wounds. As the sun sets the mikos aid the wounded but the battle between the youkai and several hanyou rages on through the wee hours of the morning. Sesshomarou and Inuyasha both have many allies that aid in battle. Naraku has accumulated many enemies who are ready to see his defeat.

Seiya and Rin try to continue fighting but both are famished and go to rest. They are stopped at the camp grounds by a strong force which almost knocks them to the ground.

-KIKYO!

They both stare wide eyed at the dead woman.

-What did you believe I wouldn't fight against your forces? Inuyasha will not refuse me. We will go to hell together to pay back his betrayal.

-Kikyo, he didn't betray you. Why don't you understand Naraku's tricks? You-

Kikyo aims her powers towards Rin silencing her and choking her. Sesshomarou senses his beloved's pain and gets ready to attack the foe.

-NO Sesshomarou!

-I will kill the bitch Inuyasha and you will not stop me. The dead miko no longer needs to interfere. I shall end her life once and for all.

-I shall do it. Kikyo you have grown cold and bitter. You no longer are the kind loving woman that I ONCE CARED FOR!!

BARANOKAKUMEI!!!

The miko's clay body is shattered and her spirit returns to the bitter place where it belongs. Inuyasha's balance falters and Seiya helps him into the hut. In the afternoon the battle continues with carnage and blood splattered in the fields. Youkai human and other beasts are dead. Sango will soon have to learn of her brother's and Kilala's conditions. Since Kikyo was defeated Kagome's powers were returned and she held her arrows close. Naraku had lost Kagura and Kanna so they had come closer to defeating him but Kilala gave her life to save them all in the heat of battle. It was only now that they knew Kilala and Kohaku had sustained wounds that they could not survive. Kagome headed to the well to retrieve Sango so she could say goodbye to her beloved friend and brother.

They all stood there ready. Sango, Seiya, Rin, and the rest. Ready to finish it. They headed to the castle beyond Naraku's broken barrier. Inside they faced many youkai and destroyed them. They defeated puppet after puppet, minion after minion. Until finally they came upon Naraku himself. They saw his true form: demon parts bulging from him, heads, claws, arms and legs, tentacles sprouting from all directions. Kagome shattered the clay pot they had received from Kagura. But nothing seemed to happen.

-Haha haha hahaha….you actually believed that that scum and measley piece of me could help you to easily defeat me?

-No Naraku..but we can and with her help we have weakened you.

Inuyasha and Seiya made their combined flame attack. Rin and Sesshomarou aimed at his heart with perfect timing and everyone else threw all they had against him. Except for Kagome. She aimed her arrow.

Steady steady…please work.

Kagome's aura came from within her and her entire body glowed with a pink color. The shikon jewel floated before her intact and whole. She raised off of the ground and she shot three arrows at Naraku. There was an explosion of light surrounding the castle and everything stood still.

Kagome…

-Midoriko?

-Kagome you are the chosen one…what is it that you wish. The jewel is pure and make sure your wish is as well or you may become corrupt and vile as the atinted shards had become.

-Yes high priestess.

-I trust you will make the right decision.

Naraku must be defeated. Bring us together safe and unharmed. Stop his evil plans.
