Inside a Lord's Mind
After leaving the girl at her room I wandered down the halls thinking about all that has happened during this day. First, I decide to go after my dear brother to retrieve the Tetsusaiga, but instead came back to my home with a strange human girl. Admittedly she was as bad as most humans.
~** Flashback **~
I arrived just as the hanyou's wench was introducing herself. She wasn't even worth noticing; Lena was different. Her hair was a vibrant red instead of black like the miko's and her eyes were an odd shade of green, closely resembling the fresh leaves in spring as they bloomed.
~** End Flashback **~
She certainly didn't look like any human from these parts. I, unlike my stupid brother, had seen the exotic slaves some lords liked to show off like treasures. Lena looked almost like those girls, except she seemed more vibrant, and even more exotic. Her eyes were stunning, in one word.
I noticed I had reached the main garden and decided to go to the dojo. I needed to decide on the weapons that the girl would need to learn to use. She would need to learn many so that she would never be at a disadvantage against her opponents.
I was still plagued by the question of why I even brought her here, to my home. It wasn't like taking Rin in. She was just a small child and couldn't have taken care of her self, which was demonstrated when she was killed by those wolves. I sighed and decided to worry about it later, there were more important things to think about for now.
I stood before a wall covered by various weapons. There were swords, daggers, bows, quivers, spears, and other things. The girl needed to learn to use several, at least. A sword, of course, perhaps teach her to use daggers in close combat to aid her sword, and to throw them, and teacher her to fight with a staff. I couldn't help but wonder if that would be enough. It would also probably be best to teacher her to use a bow, if there was time. Two months should be enough to teach her to be decent with all of them, not a master but good enough to defend herself and Rin from anything that would attack them in the castle.
With the weapons deicded upon and set aside for trainin ght emorning i walked out into the gardens. THey had been planted at my mother's request and always brought me peace as nothing else could.
"Filthy humans... Why would my wonderful master take them in, bring them here!" lamented Jaken as he also took sanctuary in the gardens.
Just what I wanted...my pathetic servant to be in m y refuge. "Jaken," I drawled, enjoying ht eway he jumped at the slight irritation in my voice.
"Y-yes, Master Sesshoumaru?" he asked eagerly. How I despised his eagerness. Like a pitiful dog begging for any little crumb.
"Leave or I will kick you out myself."
Jaken's bulbous eyes bulged out even furthur and he stuttered out a surprisingly quick, "hai Sesshoumaru-sama," as he ran out of the garden.
I almost smiled at his terror but instead sighed in frustation as I remembered the meeting from earlier. How could the pathetic evil hanyou be causing such problems? It is impossible for a half demon mongrel to cause such trouble for full demon lords. Even if said demon lords were infuriatingly incompetent. Of course the cursed jewel shards would be the reason. The jewel shards my brother is also looking for. Such stupidity... They were born weak and inferior, why even bother to try to do the impossible and change. Beings were meant to remain as they were created.
I finally reached my favorite part in the garden. A small pond with a pier going out from the bank of the pond to the middle of it. The pavilion at the end of the pier was covered with railings around it and chairs situated in a circle on it.
But, as always, there was a disturbance around me before I could reach peace. I could sense a somewhat powerful demon entering my lands with hostile intent. I growled out my displeasure and quickly transformed, swearing a promise of painful death to whoever the interloper was.

The next chapter will take a couple more days to finish, and hopefully will be longer. Thanks.
