Chapter 14
Uncertainties and dreams
Three days…
Three days had passed since Tsuyara died. Three days since Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru took the broken shards of Tensiega to Toto-sai; it was three days that the sword smith promised to fix the blade.
This was that day; Sesshoumaru grew anxious as the morning progressed. Would Toto-sai come today, had he finished the sword yet… had he even remembered? The old man was less then reliable, the Inu-youkai thought bitterly.
`He better of remembered…'
The irritation was swept aside as he glanced at the hut his lost love was laying. Thoughts again of her reaction filled his head. As often as every one else said that she would simply forgive him, he just could not bring himself to believe a word of it. The very idea was inconceivable!
She would wake, and seeing him for the first time in four years she would be happy. But then he would confess unto her what he did by keeping the sheath and willingly forgetting about her while they were parted. She would look at him with accusing eyes, he could just see it… she would no longer love him, she would compare him to all those who hurt her in the past… he would be no better then they.
His fate was sealed and he knew it… but when his sword was to be returned, he couldn't just let her spirit disappear… simply let her remain dead… it would make him even worse then those she feared.
In his frustration he leapt into a tree and forced himself to nap, letting sleep consume him and free him of his mind.

“So the girl is dead? Pity. She was born as one fit to fight… but then I guess being part human made her weaker then I thought.” The serpentine lion sighed uncaringly. “So what of this Sesshoumaru, Has he also been slain? I hear he can bring those who have died back to life.”
“That power has been taken from him,” Naraku said, “though he has not been dealt with. We should keep an eye on him and his halfwit brother. I know they will try to, unknowingly, thwart your plans.”
The snake said nothing, but shining fangs glinted through the darkness of the cave around him, bright yellow poison melting off their tips. His grin made even Naraku flinch ever so slightly, his low but menacing laugh echoed through the hallow mountain.
He had new plans now…
~
Sesshoumaru woke suddenly, he didn't jump but his heart was pounding. A dream, and a weird one at that… he recognized with disgust, Naraku, but the snake creature he did not. Parts of him disturbingly reminded the dog of Tsuyara, the blackness of his scales, his red eyes, the golden-white ruff of fur that crowned his head and collared his shoulders and neck, his cat like paws with claws as long and thick as Inuyashas sword, and a long tail tipped with a menacing golden blade.
Their conversation disturbed him greatly… the snake thing was planning something to do with Tsuyara and himself… but it was a dream right? He pushed the thought aside as the scents of Rin and Shipou came under the tree.
“Milord,” Rin hollered up to him “Toto-sai is back!”
“Yeah, your swords fixed! Inuyasha had us come find you!” Shipou exclaimed excitedly.
Sesshoumaru didn't think twice. He jumped from the tree and ran to Tsuyara's hut. Now all his questions would be answered for good or bad.
“Inuyasha, the two young ones told me my sword is fixed. Is this true?” he asked more hurriedly then he needed to.
“Yes, I fixed your sword. Next time be more careful!” he heard Toto-sai yell at him.
“I wasn't the one who broke it you old buffoon.” Sesshoumaru mumbled under his breath. He took the sword from his hands and could feel it shudder strangely under his claws.
It was time to know.
Sesshoumaru walked into the hut slowly, Tensiega unsheathed and quivering in his hand. When he saw Tsuyara, he was vaguely aware of the others watching patiently behind him… he could see them; the minions of the underworld were still struggling to take her soul but Kaede's prayer worked…
He hesitated…
Would she love him?
Would she hate him?
He closed his eyes trying to rid him self of these thoughts…
Again he hesitated…
`Just get this over with!' a voice in his mind told him…
He never felt his hand move…
With one slash the death Youkai disincarnated under the swords new blade.
He waited for what seemed an eternity…
Then he heard it, her heart began to beat one more in her chest. He hardly noticed how tightly he gripped his sword, or the gasps form the human girls behind him… another eternity passed before Tsuyara made a small sound as she opened her eyes…
Those beautiful crimson eyes…
“S-Sesshoumaru?” her voice was questioning, low, confused… the sword slipped from his hand, the sound of it hitting the ground rang loud and deafening…
“I'm sorry!” Sesshoumaru cried out before breaking through those surrounding the door…
Tsuyara sat up, she was so lost. The last thing she remembered was being struck by that wind Youkai… what was Sesshoumaru doing here… where was here? She looked uncertainly, questionably to those left at the door, some had gone after Sesshoumaru…
“What's going on?”
“Tsuyara… there's…. Some things w-we need to tell you.” Kagome sighed.
*HAHAA! She is back! And I know you all hoped she would come back, that was my plan all along! But it doesn't stop here, keep on reading. And I would like to thank all of you who have reviewed my story it makes me feel loved =D hehe! I'm hyper today…sigh… well Araso out for now*
