Kagome hurried into class after lunch, determined to find a seat where Naraku couldn't sit next to her. Kagome could shake the feeling that Naraku gave her when he asked her out, it was like his eyes were freezing her to the spot, Kikyou made her feel like that at times and it just had to be some sad twist of fate that she had both of them in her next class. She choose a set next to the wall so all she had to do was pray that someone else sat on the other side of her before Naraku got to class.

The rest of the class filed in and the first thing she noticed was a pissed off Inuyasha walking through the door, the second being that he sat down next to her. It was a good thing Kikyou had not got to class yet or they would be in hot shit.

"Inuyasha, what are you doing!?" Kagome hissed at him with wide fearful eyes, was he crazy?

"Kikyou will just have to get mad, we need to talk."

"About?"

"That guy, he asked you out at lunch didn't he?"

"Yes, and I said no."

"Still, I want you to stay away from him."

"Yeah, okay Inuyasha, like I'm the one coming up to him or something, I guess you didn't notice the part where I was sitting down minding my own business?"

"Have you done anything to make him think you want to have relationship with him?"

"Yep, I told him my phone number, my sign, and that I'm available every night of the week."

"I'm serious Kagome!"

"So am I, I can't believe you think that I'd flirt with another guy while we're together, much less while we're in our little predicament!"

Inuyasha didn't have time to respond because Kikyou came walking into the classroom and they were the first things she noticed as out of place. Kagome averted her eyes to the wall and Inuyasha just gave her the finger. Kikyou narrowed her eyes at him and then gave a sickly sweet smile and continued to her desk. Naraku came in soon after and Inuyasha glared at him when his gaze lingered a little too long on Kagome, and she just ignored them both.

While class was in session Kagome saw Inuyasha pass a note to her out the corner of her eye, she unfolded it in her lap and read…

I know you wouldn't flirt with other guys, but your sweet personality is attractive and he might get the wrong idea.

Kagome's response:

So what am I supposed to do? Stop being nice?

Inuyasha:

No just do your best avoid him that's all

Kagome:

Inuyasha that would be rude and it's not the end of the world if a guy asks me out, I told him no and I'm sure he won't ask again, not every guy is the stalker you make them out to be.

Inuyasha:

Kagome that guy gives me a bad feeling, what if he doesn't give up!? Have you seen the way he looks at you!?

Kagome:

Yes I have seen the way he looks at me and he does give me the creeps a little but he may just be that type of person, like Sesshoumaru, look at him he's cold and indifferent but also warm and loving to Rin. I can't just treat him like the plague and keep away that would judging him before I got to know him and would make us both hypocrites in view of Sesshoumaru.

Inuyasha:

I see your point but his vibes are nothing like Sesshoumaru's. His are more like pure evil, and Sesshoumaru just gives you the feeling that he has power. Kagome please

Kagome could see that Inuyasha was really worried for her, he never said please to anyone but her and only if it was really necessary.

Kagome:

Fine, I'll try to stay away from him, but he is the one that comes up to me.

Inuyasha:

Don't worry, if he comes up to you again in that way I'll just have to have a talk with him.

Kagome:

Inuyasha this had better end up like your little talk with Houjo went! He won't even say hi to me anymore because of you!

Inuyasha:

He was getting on my nerves, always asking you out and telling you that I was too rough and that you needed someone gentle.

Kagome:

He was just worried about me, and being a friend, besides you intimidating him just proved his point.

Inuyasha:

So you do think I'm too rough? If I did anything to hurt you I'm sorry.

Kagome regretted her statement when saw he was getting sad and nervous, like he always got when he thought she was going leave him or he had hurt her.

Kagome:

Inuyasha you've never hurt me, you're always gentle and it's one of the reasons I love you. I told Houjo that as well.

She saw the relief come over his face at reading that. No, she could never leave him, he was her other half. Too bad the other two people at the back of the room didn't understand that.

RING RING RING

"Hello?"

"Inuyasha did I not make myself clear to you? You are supposed to stay away from Miss. Higurashi."

"I know you won't tell Kikyou, you're having too much fun with this and telling would end your fun."

"No your wrong Inuyasha I would tell because watching your girlfriend's family reputation go down in smoke would be fun also. Now, I'll give you two one more chance, don't slip up again."

The phone line went dead and Inuyasha felt his anger rise. He went down to the training room and straight over to the punching bag, to work his anger off.

The next day in first period Inuyasha was back on the other side of the room and Naraku was back sitting next to Kagome, something Inuyasha was not happy about.

It had been fine, Naraku hadn't made another move on Kagome and she was sure he wouldn't after she'd told him no the first time. The bell rang and everyone packed up their things and started for the door, Naraku spoke as Kagome was putting her books into her bag.

"Kagome I'm sorry if I was out of line yesterday."

"It's okay Naraku"

"I understand that you're scared and need to get to know me first."

"What?"

"But my offer still stands"

"I don't think you heard me yesterday, I'm already in love with someone and will be with no one else."

"Well then why don't you point him out to me then?"

Kagome could see Naraku's eyes challenging her to point at anyone and for a second she could have sworn she saw amusement in his eyes and wondered to herself if he knew Kikyou.

"I can't"

"That's what I thought. Just tell me when you're ready Kagome."

He picked up his book and walked out the classroom. Kagome couldn't believe what she just heard, she would have to tell Inuyasha about this even if he would blow up, that guy was really scaring her now.

Sesshoumaru clicked his cell phone closed and stepped out of the empty hallway he had gone down to talk in private. He had noticed that young man following Kagome around the other day, but that was not what caught his attention, it was the fact that Kikyou always seemed to be near and she followed the both of them with her eyes. He had his assistant Jakken run a search on the boy's name and his find was very interesting indeed. So, Naraku Kumara was Kikyou's cousin, his little brother was not going to be happy.
