I am never taking sleeping pills again!!! I thought I'd never wake up!! It's 3:09 in the morning right now sorry for keeping you guys waiting.

Kagome got to school fearing the worst for the day. Inuyasha called everybody last night to tell them who Naraku really was, and he told Kouga and Ayame what was going on. Now everyone was on the look out for Naraku and what he might do, but nobody more than Kagome.

She hurried to class not wanting to bump into him the hallway, it was bad enough having classes with him. When Kagome waked in the classroom she froze, there on her desk was a single red rose.

"Miss Higurashi, that was on your desk when I came in today. It seems you have an admirer."

Kagome only nodded to the teacher and went over to her desk. The rose had a card with it and she half expected it to be from Inuyasha, but when she paled when she read the card. It only had one sentence but that's all she needed to know who it was from…

Card:

I forgive you.

She would have fainted right there but rest of the students started coming into class and with them Inuyasha. She looked at him and then at the rose, and then threw it in the trash cane. Inuyasha picked it out of the trash and read the note attached to it. He looked at her confused, before realization dawned on him, the rose was from Naraku. His anger caused him to crush the flower in his hand. Kagome just sat in her seat and prayed for the day to go by quickly.

Naraku never showed up for school that day but Inuyasha still walked close to Kagome wherever she went. It was time for lunch and she was sitting with the girls close to the boys' table, the conversation nearly made her drop her soda.

"Guess what, when I walked into class today there was a rose on m desk…" Sango looked at Ayame and interrupted her.

"And there was a note with it?"

"Yeah, that said `I forgive you'. I asked Kouga and he said he didn't give it to me. Did you guys get one?"

"Yeah I did. Kagome did you get one?"

"Sango those roses were from Naraku."

"What! Oh my goodness! I keep it!"

The only girl sitting at the table who didn't get one was Rin, and they assumed it was because her boyfriend was not involved in the joke played on Naraku or simply because her boyfriend was who he was, nobody was dumb enough to mess with Sesshoumaru.

Over at the boys' table a similar discussion was taking place.

"So Naraku is the one who sent the flower to my Sango?"

"Damn right!"

"And Ayame!?"

"The guy is trying to get back at us by messing with our girlfriends!"

"So what should we do about it?" Miroku was fighting hard not lose his temper.

"My father doesn't want me to fight him, so I guess we'll just have to stay close to girls at all times for now. I'll tell Sesshoumaru about this, if Rin hasn't done that already."

"Hey! How come Rin hasn't said anything about a rose?"

"I don't think she got one, after all Sesshoumaru wasn't in on the joke."

"I still can't believe you got my women into such trouble mutt face! I knew I could protect Kagome better!"

"Shut up! Kagome is not your women and you need to worry about Ayame!"

The bell rang and they all walked up the stairs close together, to the girls it felt like having personal bodyguards, but was also scary because of why they needed them.

The rest of the day went by smooth with no sign of Naraku, but Kagome had to go home alone and she was a little worried. She unlocked her bike and got on. She tried to peddle fast without looking like she was, but she noticed that a car was following her. Too scared to look behind her and see who it was she just kept peddling with her eyes forward. When she reached her house she finally turned around to see who her pursuer was, only to see a red Mustang drive by and the driver had what looked to be like silver hair. Kagome relaxed and smiled, she did really have the best boyfriend in the world.

"Yes I put the roses on their desks and you should have been there to see the tension in the air!"

"Of course Naraku sweetie! Bye!"

Kikyou hung up the phone and for a moment was temped to call Inuyasha and scare him a little but thought better of it. She no longer cared about her plan; it was nowhere near as good as Naraku's. Inuyasha could be with his little girlfriend for now because he wouldn't have her after her cousin was done.
