Naraku was sitting in his jail cell thinking about how he came to be there. She had tricked him, and got him thrown in jail. Before they were taken off to separate cells, Kikyou asked how could he have been so stupid as to tell Kagome everything. In truth he didn't see the harm in it at the time, so what if he told her everything and she went to the police, it would just be her word against his. But he did tell her everything and she didn't go to the police, no, she had them and her boyfriend right there with her, listening and tape recording everything he said.

`She's a smart bitch, too bad my plan didn't work, and I would have loved to fuck the real Kagome and not just Kikyou as an imitation.'

But there was nothing he could do now, just wait and hope that his father's lawyer could talk him out of going to jail.

The story was all over the news, not to mention the high school. People were asking them to tell the story and they were even getting weird looks from people they didn't know. Kagome was standing in line in the library and over heard two girls talking about her, when she looked over at them they just said hi and asked if it was all true, just as Inuyasha was walking up. He was a little rude to them; he asked them if they haven't seen Kikyou or Naraku around them what did they think.

Guys had coming up to Kouga and Miroku all day asking them why didn't they just kick Naraku's ass. They simply explained that it was hard to kick someone's ass when you were in a coma for a week or had some busted ribs.

They were all actually happy when the court date rolled around and they had to miss school. You really couldn't even call it a trail, their testimonies and the tape of Naraku admitting to everything was too solid even for the high priced lawyer that Naraku and Kikyou's fathers had gotten to battle against.

The defense's story was so lame Kagome had to elbow Inuyasha in the ribs to stop him from laughing. Naraku's lawyer, Ms. Ruyo told the jury that Naraku was just telling Kagome what she wanted to hear, but didn't actually mean it. All the prosecution had to do was play the tape over again and showed that Naraku was the one doing most of the talking.

For the first day of court Kikyou wasn't there, while in the bathroom her mother saw the pregnancy test in the trash and questioned her about it, when she broke down and told them that it was Naraku's child they forced her to get an abortion. The next day in court Mrs. Yumari's lawyer, Mrs. Wataki, used this to her advantage. This was the very next day after Kikyou just had the life inside of her killed, she was emotional and could hardly look anyone in the eye, and she avoided Naraku completely.

Mrs. Wataki was able to make her break down again and she told the whole story, anyone could see the shock on Naraku's face when she got to the part about the baby and the abortion, she even told how he kept repeating Kagome's name while they had sex. Inuyasha had to be removed from the courtroom, or he would have killed Naraku on the spot.

The defenses argument crumbled after that and the jury found them guilty, much to the relief of the teens. When court convened the next day to determine the sentence, it was more than the group had hoped for; they thought Naraku and Kikyou would just get a few months at the most.

Kikyou was offered a deal, that if she gave the names of the boys that beat up Miroku on the beach, her sentence would be shorter. Kikyou took the deal and the boys were found and arrested, they were charged with assault and battery, it made it worse that they took money for it, so each were given a year in prison.

Kagura was viewed as an accessory and was house arrest for three months; it was bad news to someone who loved her freedom as much as Kagura did. She was only aloud to go to school and back, anywhere else an she had to be accompanied by one of her parents, who were so angry at her they promised that she wouldn't be going anywhere at all for those three months, and took the keys to her car.

Kikyou was sentence to spend the next two and half years in prison, it probably wouldn't have been as bad if she hadn't cut the break line in Kouga car herself, but since she was the one who did of her own free will, they had no choice. That was good for two years on it's own not even adding the blackmail. The sentence would have been worse if she hadn't given the names of those boys, but it didn't matter, her parents were sending her off to a boarding school in another country after she got out. She would stay there until she was twenty-one, to make up for the shame and dishonor she brought on her family for her illegal activities and for sleeping with her own cousin.

Naraku was sent to a federal prison until he was twenty-one, he would be on probation for the first year after he served his sentence. His father cut him out of his will and inheritance, they would give him just enough money when he got out to get his own house since they didn't want him back in theirs.

And to top it all off, Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Ayame, Kouga, Rin, and Sesshoumaru filed to get restraining orders on all of the accused. And to show that he had been working on helping them, Inuyasha's father Inutaisho gave the judge a file of illegal smuggling activities that Kikyou's father was involved in, too bad he was confronted outside the court room by Kikyou's mother…

"Ms. Yumari, I presume?"

"Yes, and you are?"

"I'm Rebecca, Kikyou's mother."

"An interesting name, it's?"

"It's American, my grandmother was American."

"Well what can I do for you?"

"I just wanted to apologize for what my daughter has done to your family, it would seem I let her father spoil her rotten, but she will be disciplined for her actions. How ever did you find out that information about my husband, I was shocked to hear that he was involved in such things?"

"Well I have my ways and few very good informants."

"You must just as intelligent as you are handsome, I can see where your sons get their good looks. What beautiful amber eyes and silver hair, they take after you well."

"Well thank you."

"Inutaisho, honey come on or we'll be late for my boxing lessons." Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru's mother ran up and wrapped her arms around her husband; she gave him a peek on the cheek before she seemed to notice Rebecca at all.

"Oh Hello, I'm Mrs. Yumari."

"Charmed." Rebecca gave her a sour look.

"You must be Kikyou's mother, how terrible about that baby, just think your daughter would have had her own cousin's child, you must have been very upset."

"Yes, well I need to get home now."

She smirked as Kikyou's mother stormed off, Sesshoumaru had told her to watch out for that harlot.

"My dear, was that necessary?"

"Completely."

Inutaisho shook his head and laughed as he walked off, for anyone who was still watching the Yumari brothers could be seen giving high fives to their mom.

The next night after that, the Yumari's invited everyone to come to their house and celebrate. They had the party in the back yard; it was decorated with streamers and at least fifty hanging Japanese lanterns. Tables were set up with food, but let's face it, any party your parents throw is bound to be a little boring. That's why Inuyasha stole away with Kagome in tow.

Back at the party everyone was having his or her own separate conversations. But the most important one was happening at the table near the punch bowl.

"Rin, are you happy with me?"

"Of course I'm happy with you, why?"

"Then I would like for you to spend the rest of your life with me." No body was paying attention to Sesshoumaru as he got down one knee and pulled out a little black velvet box and opened it to show a four medium sized diamonds sitting in the middle of a white gold band.

Ayame was the first to notice and her gasp drew everyone's attention to what she was looking at. Everyone else was stunned, but Inutaisho had wide grin on his face and Mrs. Yumari had teary eyes.

Rin was about to cry herself, but she had a smile on that could blind. She let out a breathy yes and Sesshoumaru slipped the ring on her finger. It was one for the picture book, as they were hugging and kissing, surrounded by their friends and family applauding.

"Where is Inuyasha, he should be here to see this moment in his brother's life." Inutaisho was looking around the yard for his youngest son.

"I think we should leave him and Kagome a lone for a while dear."

Inutaisho just shrugged his shoulders; he didn't have a mother's intuition so he would trust her on this.
