And here it is!!! The alternate ending to the Winter Formal night!!!!! I still don't know why I didn't think of this when I was actually writing the story, but better late than never!!!!

The night of the Winter Formal could have went something like this…

All through dinner Kagome was quiet, Inuyasha had tried to reassure her but she was still scared. The police had called earlier to tell them that they would be set up by the time they got to the dance and for Kagome to meet them before going in.

`Everything will be alright, everything will be alright.' She kept chanting it in her head like mantra, it wasn't helping. Everyone knew she was scared and they were worried but didn't say anything, they didn't want to put her on the spot and make it worse.

The boys complemented the girls on their dresses, Inuyasha wouldn't stop telling Kagome how beautiful she looked and planting little kisses on her cheek, but she still didn't give him a real smile.

They all stood up and got ready to go out to the limo, Kagome just wanted this to be over soon.

Naraku drove to Kikyou's house to pick her up. He smirked when he saw her dress, but she wasn't her usual arrogant self, not that he noticed.

They arrived at the building the dance was being held in, and he made sure she knew what to do before getting out of the car. He couldn't have her screwing up his plans to get Kagome.

The ballroom was beautifully decorated with silver streamers and the air was filled with bubbles from the bubble machine and with silver and white balloons. There was a DJ and the refreshment table with the punch that was obviously going to be spiked at the first chance someone got to do it, while the teachers just stood in one corner talking. The students that were already there were dancing and talking.

None of this mattered to Naraku, he was just there for one reason, and she happened to come walking in the door at that very moment with her boyfriend and friends. Naraku looked her over and felt his loins tighten, she was wearing a white dress, it suited her perfectly, white and pure just like her. It would be time soon.

Kagome felt his eyes on her and tighten the hold she had on boyfriend's arm. Everything was ready; she just had to find a way get him.

Rin and Sesshoumaru found a table while Sango, Miroku, Ayame, and Kouga all went to dance.

"Kagome do you want to dance?"

"No, my legs feel like jelly."

"It will be okay, don't let him ruin the whole night."

"I just need something to drink."

Inuyasha went over to the refreshment table to get her some punch; he sniffed it first to make sure no one had spiked it.

Naraku saw his chance and told Kikyou it was time, she quickly raced up to the DJ table and grabbed a microphone.

"Hello everyone!" The crowed gave a weak cheer.

"This Winter Formal is to celebrate the amazing season our football team has had this year!!" Now a more energetic roar.

"So lets have a few words from the tough, strong, and unbelievably handsome captain of our team, Inuyasha Yumari!!!" The crowed clapped and cheered, the football players barked like dogs, and Inuyasha who was about to walk back over to his girlfriend had a spotlight pointed on him.

Well he couldn't say no, he sat the glasses down and walked over to the table were Kikyou was clapping the heel of her hand that held the mic. He took it from her and she walked back into the crowd.

"Well what can I say? It's not all me, I had one kick ass team behind me!" Roar

"And I'm sure it will be same way with the wrestling team next semester! And next year we'll keep this football team undefeated!!" Everyone clapped, stomped, and cheered.

Inuyasha went over to where he'd left Kagome standing, but she wasn't there. It took a while before Inuyasha figured out that Kikyou's wonderful introduction was just a distraction and ran out of the building to the police set up.

Kagome had been waiting for Inuyasha to get back when Kikyou called him up. She didn't even see Naraku come up behind her until she felt a light tap on her shoulder. When she turned around he was standing there looking at her with those piercing cold eyes.

Well she wasn't going to get another chance like this, and she wanted all this over with, she didn't want to see anymore of her friends hurt, and she wouldn't know what to do with herself if Inuyasha ever got hurt by the man standing front of her.

"Um yeah sure, I've been wanting to talk to you too."

"Good." He smiled and offered her his arm; she took it and walked out with him.

She led him over to the small clearing in the woods behind the ballroom, and stopped to face him.

"So what is it that you wanted?"

"Kagome come with me, I could give you so much more than Inuyasha could. I would treat you like a queen; the world will be yours if you want it, just be with me. You don't know about everything I've gone through to get you. Just be with me Kagome."

He was slowly advancing on her.

"No, I'm happy with Inuyasha." Kagome turned her back to him, he heart was besting as fast as a hummingbird's but she was not going to back down.

"Are you really? You have a boyfriend that is wanted by almost every girl in school, you should see the jealousy and hate in their eyes when they look at you. Surly he is not worth having so much hate directed at you?" Naraku was right behind her stroking her right arm, in what, Kagome could only assume was supposed to be concern.

"I didn't think people were so shallow, but I don't care I love Inuyasha." Kagome kept her back turned to him and held down the way his touch made her want to scrub the offended skin raw.

"Yes, but does he love you love you enough to ignore the fact that he could have any number of those girls? If you were with me, I would look at you and only you forever."

Kagome rounded on him looking at him straight in the eye. "He doesn't care about all those other girls. Besides no one could ever love me like he does."

"But I could love you so much better Kagome, the fire and passion we could have would last forever. Can Inuyasha give that to you?" Kagome wanted to slap him, but she had to play his game if she wanted him gone for good.

"Let me show you Kagome." She could see his lips descending to hers and wanted nothing more than to push him away, but she couldn't. She promised Inuyasha she would be strong for him, she wanted to be strong for him.

Kagome closed her eyes and tried to block out the feeling of Naraku's lips on hers but it wasn't happening. His kisses were harsh and demanding, he was nothing like Inuyasha and it was like every nerve ending in her body had woken up to feel the abuse of his kiss. She felt like she was betraying Inuyasha, even if she was doing it put Naraku away and stop him from hurting more people, she still wanted to cry.

Naraku however, was completely oblivious to her discomfort, but even if he did know it probably only serve to turn him on rather than make him stop. He reached his right hand behind her head and took grip on the nape of her hair to have better control over the kiss. His left hand did not remain idle as he lifted it cup her right breast.

Inuyasha could barley contain his boiling blood. He was in a van with four other police officers; the van was filled with radio equipment so they could hear everything from the conversation. Inuyasha had heard everything Naraku had said to Kagome, but that didn't make him nearly as mad as when he heard Naraku ask Kagome to show her his love. He heard everything grow silent except the rustle of fabric, and he was about to go mad when he heard Naraku moan.

He could feel one of the officers put a hand on his shoulder and try to calm him. But he didn't actually register the words. He wanted this to be over, now.

"Kagome I've waited so long for you, but I knew this day would come." Kagome let herself be lowered to the ground by Naraku, but she would stop him if he tried to go too far, she needed him to talk.

"How did you know?" Kagome asked while shutting her eyes tightly when Naraku started kissing her neck, he had one of her legs between his and she could feel him grinding himself against her thigh.

"It was only a matter of time before I knew I would have you, this what I planned for us." He said as he started nibbling on her earlobe.

"Planned?" Kagome was subtlety trying to inch her head away from him but it wasn't working.

"Yes, you have no idea how much trouble I went through to get you, my Kagome." He gave deep sort of evil laugh that made the fine hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.

"And what kind of trouble did I earn?" She was curious now.

"I'll tell you, but first I want to hear you say you love me and only me, and you must break up with Inuyasha when we go back inside." Kagome's stomach gave a harsh jerk at the demand, she knew she wouldn't mean it, but she still didn't want to utter those three words to the man on top of her. But she had to be strong, she promised, so steeling her eyes she looked directly into Naraku's cold ones with the most solemn expression she could muster.

"After being with you now, and feeling you near me, I can't say that I have reached the point where it could be love, but I do want to see where you could take me. And for what we could have I will break up with Inuyasha." She couldn't, she just couldn't say `it' to him but that would have to do.

"That is good enough for me Kagome." Naraku said giving her a small kiss on the cheek.

"In fact that is why I did everything I did, for what we could have together. And I knew we could never have been together with those friends of your around, so they had to be…distracted." Naraku laid his head on Kagome's chest, she thanked the gods that her dress had so much padding or he would have heard something and her cover would have been blown.

"Distracted?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around him for added effect.

"Yes, they were focusing too much attention on you, I had to give them their own problems to worry about or I never would have been able to get close to you." Kagome was sure he would be able to hear her heart beating as loud as it was with his head against her chest, she knew he was close to confessing and she had to keep him talking.

"So you did all those things to then for me?" Kagome made sure to keep her voice soft or he would have thought she was accusing him and he would thrown up his defenses and stopped talking.

"You are worth it, and I would do it all over again to be with you like this." Kagome gently started to stroke his long onyx colored hair, she was starting to pity him, but what he did her friends was wrong and unforgivable still, and no amount of pity could defer her from doing the right thing.

"But how could you have caused Kouga to have an accident, you weren't even at school that day? And Miroku was attacked by a group of guys at the beach, you weren't there either."

"That wasn't hard, I simply had Kikyou to cut the break line on Kouga's car. And I had her hire that gang of boys to follow Miroku and Sango, in a promise that they would be paid if they did the job." Kagome could hear the arrogance in his voice and it made her sick, he was proud of what he had done, and it made it even more sickening that he had supposedly done in her name.

"So you had Kikyou give that picture of Sesshoumaru with another girl to Rin?" It was a good thing that from his possession Naraku couldn't see her eyes, Kagome was staring blankly at the sky and anyone could the hurt that lay behind her eyes.

"The picture wasn't hard to make, just a little digital re-mastering to put two different pictures together to make a new one." Kagome couldn't take much more, that had to be all they needed because she couldn't stand being near this creature anymore.

Kagome's thoughts froze in place once she felt his hand creeping its way up her leg, pulling her dress up with it. She was just about ready to scream when someone else did it for her.

"Freeze!" Naraku's head shot up and looked around, police officers had surrounded the clearing and were pointing their guns at him.

His shocked gaze came back to the girl laying under him, he watched as she pulled a little microphone from the inside of her dress where it had been taped to her somewhere inside her bra.

"You bitch!" Kagome jammed her eyes shut when she saw him pull his hand back to hit her, but his weight was abruptly lifted form her body. She looked up just in time to see Inuyasha give Naraku a solid punch to his jaw and as he fell to the ground. Two policemen walked over and yanked him roughly to his feet and put his hands behind his back and locked them with handcuffs.

Inuyasha helped her to her feet and asked her if she was okay, all she could do was nod dumbly. Her body was a shaky, jerky mess and she had to cling to her boyfriend to keep herself from falling while she watched them lead Naraku away, but not before he gave her one more heated glance.

The flashing lights of police cars must have caught the attention of everyone inside because they were all gathered in front of the building watching as Naraku was put in the car and two police officers arrested Kikyou right the spot. And everyone watched as she screamed and struggled in protest. Inuyasha was still holding Kagome as they walked around to the front with the detective, who needed to explain to the teachers what was happening.

Kagome was immediately seized and hugged by Rin, Sango, Ayame, Kouga and Miroku all at once and Sesshoumaru being who he is just gave he a slight nod of approval. Kikyou and Naraku were placed in different cars, and he happened to make eye contact with Kouga and Miroku who smirked and waved as the car drove off.

And the whole group watched with mild amusement as the officers had shove Kikyou into the other car while one tried to read her, her rights over her yells and curses. The crowed parted as another officer came out of the double doors with a handcuffed Kagura, who was surprisingly calmer than the last young lady they had arrested. She got into the third car without sound, but calmly asked the officer to make sure her dress did not get caught in the door.

They watched as the last car drove off, and felt a tidal wave of relief wash over them. It was finally over.

"I'll call you parents about the court dates." Detective Uhoshi said as he walked pass them without so much as backwards glance.

Well it was almost over.
