ANYWHERE

Kagome rushed down the steps leading to the dungeons. How hard it had been to get Kouga to agree to let her meet her one and only love, her protector Inuyasha. The guards pulled their hug round stomach's in seeing her come.

 

Prisoners whistled at her but her ears were only for his voice. She stopped at one of the cells and the guard let her in. There in the dark, chain to the walls was her love, her Inuyasha. She told the guard to leave them alone and he locked the cellar. “Inuyasha?” She called his name softly; he looked at her full of hate for Kouga. “Kagome…” he replied “I'm sorry…I” Gathering her skirts she knelt down beside him and put a hand on his lips while his hand trailed down her face. “I can get you out of here.” She said in hushed tones. “I will put this chemical on your chains then you can brake free, but do this only after the guards have gone to their gambling games. Then just pick the lock with you're claws and meet me at the cliff.” She smiled and walked away. But behind her smiles was the salt of a hundred tears. And he knew it only too well.

 

Kagome walked to Kouga's room in her silk night dress. It scraped slowly behind her and her long sleeves flew in the wind, whispering to her to let go and go back to Inuyasha. But she had to, or Inuyasha would be in trouble. She realized Kouga's power. She knocked and entered the room. Kouga immediately embraced her. He started to run his hands down her dress and kiss her, but she pulled away. Gasping she pulled away and said, “Kouga, since tomorrow I will be yours, let me go to my father's home one last time.” As soon as he granted her this permission she ran out in her night gown. Past the guards, past all the rest the rest of them, past all her worries. Run, and rum she did till she came to the cliff to see her lover already there. Inuyasha grabbed her arm and said “We have to go.”

 

Dear my love, haven't you wanted to be with me

And dear my love, haven't you longed to be free

I can't keep pretending that I don't even know you

“But Inuyasha where can we go? Kouga…” He pulled her close to him and kissed her. “We'll go away from all our worries. I don't want you to sleep with him.” “I wont, as long as I love you I wont.”

“Then come with me.”

“I will. Let us go and leave this place and go somewhere beyond the horizon.” She leaned on him and laid her head on his chest. “Take me to a place where love is more than just your name.” We're leaving here tonight

 

There's no need to tell anyone

They'd only hold us down

So by the morning's light

We'll be half way to anywhere

Where love is more than just your name

 

“I know of a place called Avalon” he said looking into her eyes. “I won't have to be a rebel and you won't have to mate him and we can do what we like.”

I've dreamt so long I cannot dream anymore

Let's run away, I'll take you there

 

“But what about this city, isn't this our home?” She asked kissing him. He put his hand around her waist and began to caress her neck with his mouth. “Home is somewhere I'll take you now take my hand and let us go away.”

Forget this life

Come with me

And so the flew over the horizon never to be seen again.
