April Third "Demons Day"
April 3rd, the one and only unlucky day of my life, my grandma dies, my best friend moves away, and I'm stuck here in my house. No one is home since it is a holiday, and guess what, it's raining! I just hate this day!
Kagome Higurashi lives in a small house on a shrine in Tokyo, Japan. She has brown eyes and brown hair that lay to her mid back. She is depressed right now for the whole ideal that her Grandma, Tsukiyama has died and her best friend, Mariko has moved to Kyoto. The only thing she does now is mope around the house and cry every night from the loss of a family member.
The girl peered out into the rain through a window in her room. The darkness outside made it able for her to see a reflection of herself on the glass. A tear slipped down her face. Yes, she felt lonely, she just broke up with her boyfriend and there is now no one else to turn to at this time. Oh wait no there is someone, but the kid never even notices Kagome at school but she still had the hots for him.
The boy's name is Inuyasha Tadeshi; a lot of the girls in her school liked him so she had no chance. But the strange thing about the boy is he always wears a hat or bandanna it's like he's trying to cover something up, but what? The teachers don't mind him wearing a hat they must know his secret.
Inuyasha also has a terrifying reputation, one time a girl he was going out with tried to pull off the hat he was wearing; her arm was only fractured in six different places but unfortunately took months to heal. Kagome knows that if she does ever get the chance to talk to him it won't be about the top of his head.
Kagome turned around to look fully at her room; she walked over to her bed and sat down. She felt terrible, nothing to do, nothing to see, nothing to hear. But then she did hear something, a ding. First she didn't know what it was then remembered that it could be the door bell. She got off the bed and slowly walked down the stairs to the door.
Kagome looked out the small hole to see the other person on the other side of the door, she saw, white? Then the only possible person flashed into her mind.
`Inuyasha!' She turned her back to the door and thought for a moment. `Why would Inuyasha be here--?' her thoughts were caught off by another sound of the doorbell and she turned back to the entrance.
Kagome swallowed hard and opened the door. There stood before her the boy of her dreams drenched from the bucketing rain which cleaned the streets of Tokyo.
"Yo, my car broke down and I was just wandering if you'd let me stay here till the rain stops." He always seemed to be impolite but he wasn't now.
Kagome froze what was she to say to him? Well if she was going to say something she better say it fast.
"Ummmm….what's under that hat?" Kagome quickly said and soon after realized what just slipped from her lips. "Uhhhh I didn't…mean--" she was interrupted by him,
"Every damn girl asks me that question and it's none of their damn business." He growled looking at her with eyes that were ready to kill.
"No…I…d-didn't mean…to say…th-th-that." She stumbled on her words. "I …just never mind, you can come in." Kagome gestured for him to come in and he did. "If you could…take off your shoes…please?" Inuyasha looked at her oddly but then did what the girl sad and took off his shoes. Kagome led him to living room and said she was going to get a towel for him to dry off.
Inuyasha looked around the room and took in a deep breath. Cherry blossoms. He smelled cherry blossoms. He touched the brim of his hat and thought if he could tell her, she seemed nice well sort of. His arm sank back to his side and he heard the girl come back down the stairs. She had a warm smile.
"Here, you can use this to dry off." Kagome handed him a towel still carrying a smile. Inuyasha took it but didn't say anything; he just glanced into her eyes to show he was thankful. "So…ummmm…do you want anything to eat `cause I could get--"
"No" to Kagome that one word felt like she was stabbed in the back with a knife but she listened to him and nodded. Her eyes focused on the back wall trying not to look at him.
"…you know…you should be a little nicer to me since I am letting you stay here." She stated in her innocent voice but was lined with a little anger.
"Higurashi, is it?"
"What...? Oh, yeah." Her gaze flew to his face and she noticed he was looking at her.
"I know you," he began walking closer to her. "you're the girl that spilt milk all over your school uniform on the day we went on a field trip to Kanagawa." He pointed a finger at her meekly.
"Yeah, I guess." Kagome did not like what she was hearing.
Inuyasha stepped closer and closer to her until he was only a foot away. He lifted his hand to grab her chin, raising her head up straight so she was forced to look him in the eyes. Kagome froze.
"So you're the girl that has a crush on me."
"WHAT?!" she backed away from him as quick as possible and said out loud, "I never said that…it's not true, I swear!" she took another step back. "Who…who told you that?"
"No one told me I can tell." Kagome looked clueless. "You stare at me when we're in the class room, you get all intense when I pass you in the hall, oh, I know." He finished his sentence with the popular action of crossing the arms. And evil smirk lay on his face.
Kagome took another step back and tried to erase the thought that he know she likes him. Her face told it all, the curve of her lips, her quenched eyes, her down pointed eyebrows for defense, and finally her posture. She stood with legs partly spread and leaned on her hip with her crossed arms like his and her neck tilting one way. It was too hard to cover.
"You're very cute, you know." His voice seemed different.
"…huh?" he caught her off guard.
"I said--"
"I know what you said, but you don't mean it. You're just playin' with me!" she brought up her hands showing a sign of giving up. She looked at him in the eyes and said, "You're…joking…right?"
"Nope." He walked up to her again and grabbed her chin again.
`Again with my face.' Her eyes slid to glance at a window. No rain. She pushed away from him quickly.
"Ummm, it stopped raining." She latched away and took the towel that draped around his neck and grabbed his car keys just remembering that his car had broke down. `What I'm I going to do? My parents won't come home for another two days…no he can call his family…he has a cell phone doesn't he? He could use my house phone.' she let go of the keys and turned back around to Inuyasha.
"Tadeshi…you can use my phone…about your car."
"Why are you calling me by my last name? And I could just stay here." He backed his way over to the couch and sat down.
"Well, I'll have to think about that. Oh, I'll go wash this towel, I'll be back." She walked out of the room trying not to even look at Inuyasha. She traveled down the hallway towards the laundry room, stepping in she noticed the big clump of dirty cloths that needed to be washed. She thought it would be a good idea to do them so she sorted them and dumped the colored into the washer. She turned the knob to the correct time and turned around to see Inuyasha in the door way.
Kagome was surprised to see that he followed her; she backed up against the washing machine why was she afraid of him?
"Do you want to know what's under this cap?" he leaned on the door frame with a heartless smile. "Well…?"
"……………well yeah, kinda'." She mumbled
"A little louder, please."
"…..yes, I do."
Inuyasha took his hands out of his pockets and raised them to be lifting his hat off his head. The hat lifting reviled what seemed to be a pair of dog ears.
"I'm a demon."
