I feel my world slip from my grasp.

I don't know if the impending darkness

Is because of the fading light,

Or from my consciousness slipping away.

I am alone as I lay here.

Where you are I don't know.

But I know that you aren't here.

Wait is that you?

I can hear soft footsteps.

You see me and scream my name.

I look and see you looking down on me.

Your eyes reflect sadness and confusion.

I know why you're confused.

You're confused because you can't

Believe I did this to myself.

I wasn't happy.

I just wanted it to all end.

Now it's all over.

With my last breath,

I tell you what you need to hear.

I tell you I'm sorry and can you forgive me?

I say I love you and the last thing you hear
