Chapter 9

Orphaned

(Lemon Alert)

Kagome had no idea how long she'd been out for. She felt comfortable, but smelled something unfamiliar. She opened her eyes. She first saw a dark, stone wall across from her. She sat up, and looked around. She'd been laying on a soft mattress on the floor in the middle of what looked to be a cell. She saw there was a window encased in a wrought iron screen. The room looked like it was from early last century.

The floor was littered with a fowl smelling, unrecognizable dirt, dust, and debris. She moved to look out the window. The frame was bolted shut. The view through the iron screen overlooked the ocean.

“Where am I?” A knock sounded at the steel door across from the window.

The door opened, and the creature who kidnapped her appeared. She slinked back onto the bed till her back hugged the wall.

“Oh don't be shy. I'm not going to eat you.”

“Who, or what, are you? What do you want with me?”

“You heard me back at the park. I wanted to kidnap you to anger Inuyasha.”

“What is he to you?”

“Not to me, to my master.”

“And who is your master?”

“Oh, if you know Inuyasha, I'm sure you know the answer to that,” he replied with a grin.

“Naraku.”

The beast chuckled. “Indeed, Naraku.”

“How did he find me? What does he want with me?”

“To kill you, of course. But not until he's gotten his hackles off with that dog.”

“Why would he want to kill me? I'm not a Priestess.”

“But you are her descendant, aren't you? Your family has run that same Shinto Shrine connected to her and that half-breed for generations. You're the perfect candidate for her spirit.”

“How do you know I'm her?”

“We demons know. We've always known.” He hopped onto the bed and loomed over her. “It was me who watched you since you were a child. I watched you grow up beautifully, and paid attention to your energy. I've been watching you and that dog as well. You're in love with that half-breed again. No matter what you do, you two cannot stand to be parted, even by death.”

“So, you've been…”

“Yes, I was ordered by Naraku to kill your mother years before that Half-breed came back into the picture!” He changed his appearance to that of her mother's form.

She screamed and sank further into the wall away from the imposter.

“Oh, Kagome, dear, I'm so happy you and Inuyasha are together. I wonder, have you two done the nasty yet?”

She screamed again, and hit the visage off the bed. She tried to scramble off the bed toward the door, but the imposter leapt onto her back.

“Where are you going, Kagome, dear? I won't hurt you, I'm your mother.”

She tried to struggle and get free, but the beast returned to his original form and tied her hands with a rope. He dragged her back to the bed, and tied the other end of the rope to the bed frame.

“You're not going anywhere!” He leapt from the room and slammed the door shut with a loud laugh.

She sank her face into the dirty mattress and cried, “Inuyasha!”

Meanwhile, Inuyasha continued to run leap and fly in the direction the scent directed him. Every now and then the scent was faintly found on various points of roofs, tree limbs and rocks. He had an idea where the demon took Kagome, but he wanted to see for himself. He continued through the evening, quite a ways southwest.

Finally, he came to the coast off Shiroyama. He stopped and sniffed again, and the scent appeared to end right there, at the end of the dock. The direction lead toward Hashima, an old island that had been abandoned since the end of the coal era, and. “No wonder I couldn't find Naraku all this time.”

He spoke with the harbor master, and rented a small boat to make it across the ocean to the island. Once he reached the island, he leapt off, continuing to follow the scent. The trail led him toward a tall, massive building with many wings. He landed on the nearby fence. The windows were still intact, but secured by iron webbing. He noticed the steel doors were still intact. There were many rooms in the ten story building.

“This could take a while.” He leapt into the yard and ran to the nearest door. He tried the handle, and the door opened.

“He's here, my master,” The demon said as he entered the control room.

“Excellent. Good work, Igongoro. Is she well hidden?”

“Yes, my master. She's located right off the hidden passage.” He opened the door and gestured for him to enter.

Naraku stood from his pillow and entered the passage way. The door was shut behind them.

Inuyasha ran down the hallway on the first floor, sniffing as he ran, hoping to catch either Kagome's or the demon's scent. The rooms were all filled with refuse and decrepit furniture left over from when the building was last occupied. He continued running down the long hall, and the up the stairs to the next floor.

Once he reached the top of the stairs, he called out, “Kagome! Where are you?”

He received no answer as he ran. His eyes quickly searched each room as he passed. He ran up to the third floor. Same thing. He continued to call out to her, but there was no answer.

He reached the fourth floor and stopped suddenly. He noticed the wall to his right didn't have windows or rooms. He put his ear to the inner wall. He heard a hollow area on the other side, and what sounded like footsteps and a door creaking. He ran down the hall, to find a passage to the other side of the wall. When he reached the end of the hall, the wall ended. He turned around, and ran back, thinking he missed a door as he reached that floor. No such luck. He put his ear to the wall again, and heard a scream.

He growled, and punched the wall. “Where are you? Kagome!”

He heard another scream. He ran into the nearest room and grabbed a metal chair and hit the tile wall with it. He continued to hit the wall repeatedly, only to have the tile break to pieces, and fall off to reveal a concrete wall lined in steel. He threw the chair away and screamed, falling to his knees in anger. His blood boiled. The screams continued on the other side of the wall.

“Kagome!”

He ran and leapt from the building through the nearest window, and landed on the ground. He ran around the building to the other side. That was where he saw it, the tall line of windows ranging up a floor at a time, up the back side of the building, once again, lined in iron webbing. He ran to the nearest window and worked at pulling the iron away. It came loose after the concrete wall crumbled under the pressure. He tossed the iron away, and jumped through the glass into the room.

It was an abandoned dormitory room. He smelled something fowl. He turned to his right to see a mattress and a disintegrated human body lying on top of it. It looked to be the decaying body of a woman. There was something familiar about the body. He walked closer and saw it looked close to Kagome's mother. He knelt down before the bed. “Is this Kagome's mother?”

He heard another scream, banged through the door and bolted out the door onto what seemed like a metal walkway with railings. Her screams were much louder. He looked up, and saw a network of metal staircases leading up to each room on each floor.

As he climbed the first flight to the second floor platform that's when he heard that voice.

“Kagome, did you ever really think you were meant to live a normal life?”

He looked up and peaked his ears to hear.

“You were never allowed that luxury. Not then, and not now. You are a Priestess, and therefore, my enemy.”

Kagome was on the bed, while Igongoro held a bottle of miasma in his hand, looming over her. The fair skin on her left arm was burned in multiple spots by the miasma.

“Inuyasha is here now, coming for you, Kagome. You must be a good owner for him since he always finds the one his heart belongs to.”

Kagome's eyes shot to his. “But neither of you will be leaving here alive. I aim to kill you both. I will kill him slowly in front of you, his lover. Then I will extract the jewel dust within you, Kagome.”

“I don't know what you're talking about!”

“Oh, but you do, Priestess. When Kikyo died, it was a part of her, as she burned it with her body. So, each time she is reborn, the jewel dust is reborn within the body.”

“No!”

“Yes. You see, I will extract it from your body, and let it decay here, strapped to the bedpost, as I did with your mother decades ago.”

“No! Inuyasha!”

“Kagome! I'm coming for you! Hang in there!” He yelled as he climbed up the stairs to the fourth floor platform. The room's door was closed.

He reached it and tried the knob, but it was locked. He banged on the door. “Kagome!”

“Inuyasha!” He could hear her through the steel door.

Another scream, only this one was prolonged. “NO! KAGOME!”

He ran to the railing and then took a running start and slashed with his claws, breaking the tips of his claws. Sparks singed the skin on his fingers. He continued to scratch at the door, creating ear-splitting creaks.

“Kagome!”

Suddenly, the door opened, and Naraku stood before him. Inuyasha stood there, blood dripping from his hands.

“Naraku.”

“Inuyasha, you made it.”

He looked past him to see Kagome on the bed, writhing in pain, holding her arm. Her pants of pain assaulted his ears. He grit his teeth in anger. “How dare you hurt Kagome?”

“Oh, Inuyasha, she's not the only one who will be in pain before I'm done.” He grabbed Inuyasha by the neck and tossed him into the wall beside her, and locked the door again.

“Now there will be no interruptions. Inuyasha, I plan to kill you, once and for all, and extract the jewel from our lovely Priestess here.”

“No, you don't. She's innocent. You'll have to get through me first.” He stood and took a defensive stance.

“Oh, Inuyasha, you obviously have no idea what I plan to do to you, do you?”

Igongoro walked up to Naraku with a knife and made to cut Naraku's arm. Kagome panted as she watched the blade go close to the skin.

“No! Don't do it!” Kagome shouted.

“Kagome?”

“Inuyasha, that's how he extracts miasma. He plans to disintegrate us with it!”

He clinched his teeth and growled. “Damn, and I'm not wearing my armor.”

“That's right, Inuyasha. And it looks like you don't have your sword either. You're just a growling dog, pinned against a wall. I hope you two enjoyed your short time together. You are about to die together, so this will be the perfect reunion.”

Inuyasha cracked his knuckles and bolted across the room, hitting the lesser demon, knocking him against the wall. He grabbed the blade and held it to Naraku's chest.

“I don't think so.”

Naraku's face twisted in a grimace. “You see, I made a promise to protect Kagome, and every other incarnation of Kikyo all these years. I'm not about to let you have your way now.”

“You can't kill me.”

“What, ya wanna bet I can?”

“You of all people should know one little blade can't kill me.”

“What makes you think I'm going to kill you now?”

Naraku looked at him perplexed. Inuyasha kicked Naraku to the ground, slashed the neck of the demon on the floor, and then leapt across the room. He cut Kagome's bonds and helped her up. He kicked the window out, and leapt from the room with her in his arms.

Naraku didn't follow. “Inuyasha, I'll let you and the Priestess live a little longer.”

Inuyasha held Kagome in his arms as he ran from the building, and then hopped on the boat to leave Hashima Island. Kagome was holding her burned arm, her head resting against his upper chest.

“Kagome, I'm sorry. I should have never left you.”

“It's not your fault, Inuyasha. I should never have come home to mom's house.”

“What do you mean?”

“My mother…She's dead. That demon whose throat you slit, he was posing as my mother all this time.”

He clinched his fists and grit his teeth. “I think I saw her body. It's decaying in another room in that building.”

“I wonder if my Grandfather is still alive. I haven't spoken with him in years. Same with my brother.”

Inuyasha held her to him. “Kagome, we're only going back there to gather supplies, and the sword, and then we're leaving.”

“Leaving?”

“Yes. We have to find a safe place for you to heal. You can no longer live at home.”

Kagome nodded and he sped up the speed of the boat to get back to shore. A bit later, he gathered her into his arms, and leapt off toward home. They arrived at her home quite some time later, and entered. Inuyasha leapt up the stairs with her in his arms, and set her down in her room to grab a bag of whatever she needed.

He gathered his bag of stuff, and the sword. He went to her room, and she was almost done packing her things. Once they had everything they needed, she put her yellow backpack on her back and climbed onto his back. He handed her the sword and they were off.

They leapt out from the porch and headed out toward the inner city of Tokyo, where enough humans could shield their location. They checked in at a large, expensive hotel in the heart of Tokyo for cover. By the time they got to the room, Kagome's skin was disintegrating slowly. Tears were falling from her eyes as the constant sting from her wounds continued to escalate.

He sat her down on the toilet in the bathroom and grabbed a knife from his bag.

“What are you doing?”

“You need something only I can give to stop your skin from disintegrating.”

He pulled the blade from the knife handle and slit the tip of his index finger. Blood dripped from the tip of his finger. He grabbed her arm, and laid it over the bowl of the sink. He dripped the blood over the wounds. She winced in pain, and cried out as it got worse. Her eyes clinched shut as the miasma was drawn from the wound, slid off her arm and into the bowl, leaving her scarred skin beneath, the blood remaining to close the wounds.

Soon, the pain subsided, and she began to relax. He knelt down before her and eyed the wounds closer. They closed up, and the skin soaked up the rest of the blood.

“How did this happen?” She asked as he studied the skin.

“My blood is different. It has healing properties, and will bond with your blood.”

“Bond with mine?”

“Yeah, I have a universal blood type, and is compatible with yours. My blood acts like a bonding reagent, and it will now bond with yours to give you that ability. However, this is only a few drops, so I couldn't tell you if it will do more than it already has.”

“So, your blood is within me now?” He nodded.

“My life will never be the same again, will it?” She covered her eyes and began to cry.

He held her to him. Her cries were so intense he teared up as well.

“I'm not leaving you. I'm here. I got you.” He lifted her into his arms and onto the bed. He continued to hold her as she cried.

He kissed her cheek. “Let it out, Hun, let it out.”

“Please don't leave me. Please don't…”

“I'll never leave you, I promise.”

“You're all I got now, Inu. Please, stay with me.”

“I will, I promise.”

“Thank you for saving me, Inu.”

“You're welcome.”

She turned her head and looked him in the eyes, they panted. Their eyes searched each other's souls. They kissed, and their bodies melded into each other. Their legs entwined, and their souls danced as they left caution to the winds. He rolled her beneath him and ravaged her mouth. When he came up for air, he tenderly held her face with both hands. “Kagome... I...”

“I trust you, I know you won't try to hurt me.”

He sighed loudly, eagerly locked his lips with hers, and began to undress her. He kissed her neck and his hands found her skin. Her mind was on a different plane. She closed her eyes and just let herself feel his touch, his love, and his energy. His grunts and moans mirrored hers as he kissed and tasted her body.

He let her enjoy her first time as he readied her. He knew exactly what to do, and she was fine with submitting. Before she knew it, he entered her. She winced, and scrunched her eyebrows together.

“Are you OK?” He panted, looking her in the eyes. She nodded.

He kissed her tenderly and began to move within her. Each thrust caused her to mew from the sensations the friction within caused. He moaned his experience to her, and his hunger grew quickly. His thrusts went deeper each time, causing her moans to grow louder. His moans turned to grunts as he let himself feel every crevice of her canal.

Soon, her moans matched her panting and she began to scream at each thrust. He lifted her off the bed and onto his lap as he thrusted into her deeply, holding her hips tightly. She dug her nails into his shoulders as he kissed and licked her neck. She threw her head back as he repeatedly hit her cervix and she clinched her eyes shut as her climax climbed higher. She felt a spring swell in her core, and she screamed as her climax hit. He clinched his eyes shut as her canal vibrated, drawing his member into her further. He came with a growl and grunt as he shuddered. He held onto her tightly as he fell from dizzying heights. Her body relaxed as her climax tapered off. They held each other tenderly as they panted. Their bodies were slicked with sweat, and they both shuddered from the exertion.

“Wow…” She whispered as she looked at his tired eyes.

He smiled with her and held her body to his. He gently laid them down, side by side. They continued the embrace for a while.

“That was my first time.”

“Yeah. How was it?” He panted.

She looked deeply into his eyes and said, “I can't explain it in words.”

“Then don't bother cheapening it.” He kissed her and continued to gaze into her eyes, a look of pure relaxation and happiness fell over his face.

“You look happy.”

“I am. For the first time ever, I am completely happy.”

They both held each other close and he snapped off the light switch on the wall. The night time hours stole their attention as their minds fell into the dreams flooding their worlds.

“Have you found them yet?” Naraku asked.

“No, not yet, master.”

“Where are you looking?”

“I am in Tokyo, but there're so many energy patterns to sift through, and she wasn't all that strong to begin with.”

“Hmm, hiding in plain sight. That's just like you, Inuyasha. Look at the hotels for names, and search the rooms. You'll find them, even if it takes you all night.”

“Yes, master.” Igongoro flew off toward the nearest hotel. “This will take all night, as there are over a hundred hotels in Tokyo alone. I will make this quick as possible.”

He went invisible and sailed through walls. He passed through rooms at every establishment. He saw many different couples, even parties, and continued surfing without stopping. Inuyasha made sure to settle in the farthest hotel from Hashima to buy them some time to rest. As Igongoro sailed from room to room, assaulting his eyes with human couples having dirty sex repeatedly, he was getting frustrated.

As the sun rose in the sky, Inuyasha's eyes flickered open, and he gently jostled Kagome to wake. “Kagome, wake up. We need to head out, they'll find us if we stay put.”

She moaned and he left the bed to clean up. She rolled over, her naked body cold from his vacancy. She rubbed her eyes, and he stepped out from the bathroom, and eyed her laying naked on the bed. He hadn't really paid attention to her physique. She was perfect in every way. He had to avert his eyes and concentrate on something else, or he'd climb back into bed with her and spend too much time enjoying her body again.

She sat up and stood from the bed, gathered her clothes, and entered the bathroom. She closed the door and started to clean herself.

Inuyasha sat on the bed and gathered his thoughts while she got dressed. He closed his eyes and let his ears and extra sensory senses scan the vicinity. He didn't sense anything as of yet, so they were still safe. He thought that as long as they left before they found them, they could stay on the run. The door to the bathroom opened a few minutes later.

“You ready?”

“Yeah. What's going on?”

“Nothing. Just scanning the room for energy patterns to make sure we're still lost.”

She nodded and closed her toiletries in her backpack. She set it on her back and walked over to where he was sitting. He put his face in his hands. She rubbed his back.

“Everything alright?”

“Yeah, just clearing my head.” He turned and looked at her. “How are you feeling?”

“I'm fine.”

“How's your ankle?”

“It's better. I think the sex helped.”

He chuckled and kissed her. “Let's go.”

He stood from the bed, grabbed his sword and bag and they left the room. They entered the elevator and hit the button for the ground floor, causing the door to close. Just then, as they held each other in the elevator, Igongoro appeared on their floor, and into their room. Their scent was all over the room, especially on the soiled bed.

“Inuyasha, you made it with her, didn't you?” He chuckled “Now I am on your tail.” He darted from the room and looked at the elevator, seeing the G for ground floor flash on the screen above the door. He flew down the elevator shaft toward the car they were vacating.

Inuyasha started to smell something funny. He suddenly grabbed Kagome's wrist, grabbed his things, and lifted her onto his back and leapt out of the hotel, tossing the room key at the front desk.

“What is it?”

“He's here! He found us!”

“Inuyasha!” Igongoro shouted as the chase began

Inuyasha sped up, and leaped out of reach of the minion. He dodged energy shots thrown their way, and once they found stable ground, he set Kagome down and drew the sword. Igongoro stopped before them.

“You found us.”

“You hide well, it took me all night to find you. You two had a wild night, didn't you?”

“What's it to you?”

“Oh, I was watching over Kagome, if you remember. If she is no longer a virgin, she can't live the life of a Priestess. Young woman, if you think he took your virginity because he loves you, you're solely mistaken. Spirits don't mate with humans out of love. They all have agendas behind their lust.”

“Shut up! You don't know me, or my intentions.”

“Oh, I believe I do. You have been lusting for this girl, and every other Priestess over time, to protect them, haven't you?”

Kagome looked at him in question. “Kagome, that's not true. I've only slept with one woman besides you.”

“I don't believe him, Inu.”

“Oh, and a pet name already, what a good dog you are.”

“Fuck you!”

“No need to be mean, Dog.”

“Why spew lies about me, huh? You're trying to corrupt her heart, which would in turn corrupt the jewel. Stop it!”

“You think I lie, girl? You barely even know this Dog. You've only known him a week, and already you've given all you have to him? Including your heart? So impulsive.”

“SHUT UP! Your opponent is me! Leave her out of this!”

“You may be my opponent, but she is the one I want. How can she have built so much trust in you when you are so impulsive, lustful, corruptive and needy with your, `I'm so alone, I have no one' complex?”

Inuyasha growled and his sword began to glow yellow with what looked like wind swirling around the blade. “You say one more lie, and you're dead.”

“Inuyasha, don't wait for another lie, just kill him!”

“Kagome?” He looked over his shoulder in shock.

“I want to see him fry.” She growled with anger in her eyes

“She just gave me permission to roast your ass,” He lifted the sword to the side and eyed him like he was waiting for the pitch.

“You can't kill me, it's a waste of energy to try.”

“We'll see about that. Kaze no Kizu!” He swung the sword sending three streaks of light his way. Igongoro dissipated before he was hit.

“Nice try, I'm over here.”

Inuyasha turned and saw he had Kagome in his arms, and a blade at her throat. “Try killing me now, Dog.”

“Let her go!”

“No way, I'm to bring her back to Naraku. You see, we still have the jewel's dust to extract from her skin.”

“NO! You're never to harm her again!” He ran toward them, reaching out to her.

“Come and get her!” He leapt off the edge of the building with her in his arms, and her screams trailing behind.

“Kagome!” Inuyasha leapt off the edge after them. She reached for him, but as he got closer, they disappeared. He landed on a nearby fire escape and sheathed his sword.

He hit his fist on the building, causing the brick façade to crumble. “Not again! Kagome!” He leapt off in search of her once again.

Once they were out of Inuyasha's view, and on their way to another location, Kagome struggled to get free. “Let me go!”

“I must return you to Naraku.”

“You know, you are a broken record.” She hit him in the eye with her knuckle and they dropped to the ground, skidding on the concrete. She noticed she was loose, and started running.

Igongoro snapped out of it, and ran after her. She grabbed her bag and started swinging at him. He kept disappearing each time she swung her bag. He eventually dissipated and then grabbed her again. She continued to fight with him, until he clocked her in the head, and she fell over unconscious.

Inuyasha kept running, hoping to find some clues of where they'd been. Suddenly, he was knocked off balance and fell to the ground. When he caught his bearings, he saw someone walking toward him.

“You must be Inuyasha, you're more handsome than he said you were.”

He gave the attacker a once-over. His attacker wore brown leather from head to toe, was fairly tall with a lanky, agile frame, and short blonde hair. “Who are you, and how do you know my name?”

“Naraku gave me your name when he told me to kill you.”

“And you are?”

“Uisagi, I was sent by Naraku.”

“Huh… it figures. You're here to buy him time to get Kagome back. I don't have time to play around, so get lost!”

Inuyasha tried running from the opponent, but Uisagi suddenly showed up in his path again, and somehow smacked him off guard.

“I'm not playing here, I was sent to kill you. But it's not going to be quick, I like to take my time with my opponents.”

Uisagi grabbed a handle from over the left shoulder, which turned out to be a whip.

“Heh, you think you're going to kill me with that? You gotta be kidding me! Stop wasting my time!”

“Oh, this isn't meant to kill you,” The whip cracked at Inuyasha, leaving a mark and a cut through the shirt on his right shoulder, which caused him great pain. “I mean to incapacitate you with it.”

Inuyasha put his left hand over the throbbing wound. “What is causing this pain?”

“It's a type of poison used only against spirits. It causes their nerve endings in the locations I cut to overreact and throb, causing excruciating pain and incapacitation.”

Inuyasha growled as he raised his sword to block the attacks.

“You'll be on your knees crying out in pain before I'm done with you.”

“Yeah, buddy, we'll just see about that.”

Uisagi ran at Inuyasha and cracked the whip upon passing, but the braided ends only assaulted the sword. Inuyasha sliced at the leather each time they passed each other, the sword's edge cutting away at the material. Suddenly, Uisagi threw the whip out in front of Inuyasha, and did a yank on the handle, snapping the leather to wrap around the blade, and pulled Inuyasha off balance onto the ground.

His attacker ran in close, but Inuyasha swung his leg out and tripped Uisagi, and then yanked on his sword to try to pull the whip out of the attacker's hands. All it did was pull Uisagi to him. He then threw a punch, sending Uisagi a few feet away, face down in the dirt.

“You're unpredictable. And here I thought you only fought with your sword.”

“I lived for quite some time without this sword, so you bet I'm full of surprises. Now, come on! Let's end this!”

Inuyasha rushed in, swinging his claws, dishing out his sankontessou. Uisagi dodged the blades of light, and pulled on the whip, pulling Inuyasha off balance again. Inuyasha pulled in his energy. The sword transformed back to its original form and the grip on the blade dropped.

He activated the sword again and threw a Kaze no Kizu. Uisagi leapt out of the way. The explosion caused Uisagi damage from behind.

The whip cracked at Inuyasha again, and he blocked with the sword. Inuyasha ran at his attacker, swinging Tetsusaiga, but Uisagi leapt out of reach, and cracked the whip in mid-flight, catching Inuyasha across the back. Inuyasha cried out in pain and fell over onto the concrete. He couldn't work the muscles on his back. His shoulders shuddered in pain, and his skin felt like it was melting off.

Uisagi walked up to him, gloating. “I told you, you'd be on the ground writhing in pain.”

Inuyasha grunted in pain as Uisagi knelt down before him and lifted Inuyasha's face by the chin.

“You are a handsome specimen. If I wasn't told to kill you, I would have made you my love slave instead. I'd love to break your spirit.”

“Don't. Touch. Me.” He grunted.

“Oh, you can't stop me from touching you now, as the poison has seeped into your spinal cord. You're helpless now.”

`Damn it! What am I going to do? I can't move my body. It's going numb.'

“Soon, you will lose every function from the neck down, at this rate. It's perfect, as I want to hear your screams as I take you for myself before silencing you forever.” Uisagi forcefully kissed him.

Inuyasha bit Uisagi's lip, and his chin was released.

“You are feisty. This should be fun.” Uisagi clocked him hard and leapt off to an unknown location.

Kagome awoke, and once again found herself in an unknown, unfamiliar location. The room seemed cleaner than the last. She was laying atop another bed, only this time, she was strapped down completely. She looked around and figured she might have been in some kind of hospital, or institution of some kind.

The door into her room had opaque glass, and looked like it was a painted metal door. One thing she knew for certain was that she wasn't going anywhere this time. Fear overcame her. She closed her eyes. Tears wet her skin and streaked into her hairline. Was she going to die this time? Inuyasha spoke of how Naraku killed Kikyo trying to extract the jewel from her skin. Was that to be her fate?

Suddenly, an image of Inuyasha smiling at her after they made love appeared in her mind. It relaxed her to remember her first time. His passion for her assured her he loved her. He always asked her before continuing. He was concerned for her comfort, and wanted to know whether she enjoyed the experience. Someone who tries to manipulate another into doing something would not express care for that person.

She cried tears of joy as she relived the emotions and feelings. He took such great care to satisfy her. He was good to her. Not a scratch on her body, no bruises. Just pure pleasure. He didn't take her, he loved her.

“Inuyasha, please. Save me.”

The door opened and doctors and nurses wheeled another bed into her room. They walked up to her bed. They lifted the board she was attached to, and placed it on the other bed.

“Where are you taking me?” Kagome yelled. One of the nurses placed a gag mask on her mouth and strapped it around her head.

They wheeled her down the hall. She closed her eyes and cried. She had no power over what was going to happen. They wheeled her into an operating room. They placed a mask over her nose and she felt them tie a tourniquet on her right arm. She started to feel like her body was going numb. She felt a slight prick in her arm. Then, a short time after, her world faded to black.
