Chap. 10- Kisses and Tear Pearls

Sango Pov

The park. Duh! I kicked myself. Why didn't I think of it earlier. I had been driving around for a hour before it hit me. As I pulled into the parking lot I knew exactly where Kagome would be.

I rushed to the bridge of doom as we used to call it. Every night after work we would come here drunk and puke over the side of the bridge. The bridge is where we used to come to talk. I spotted her before she noticed me. "Kagome?"

She turned her eyes tear filled. "Sango." Her voice was strangled.

"I did this didn't I?" I wiped Kagome's tears away.

"No. I was being stupid and hurt you. It's not your fault at all." She moved her face away from my hand. I caught her chin and turned it to look at her.

"Do not turn away from me, Kagome. You know you can talk to me." My eyes caught hers daringly.

"I know." She whispered. "It's just… I don't know how to anymore."

"But don't you?" I asked letting her go and looking over the side of the bridge. The river was full tonight reflecting the moon carefully with all the details.

"I love him Sango."

"I know." It was all I could say.

"And he loves me. You could have any guy you wanted Sango- any girl even." Kagome shook her head leaning against the rail. " No one is like me, I know that, you know that… but there are those who are better. You will find someone you love Sango."

"What if I don't Kagome? What if there is no one?"

She sighed. "You will find the one. The end."

I looked at her face. She was what some people would call hard headed, and now it was showing. "Come on. Let's go back to the bar- as paying customers."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The door slammed when we entered, Sango smiling as people turned their heads. "Welcome to Hell house…" She laughed.

"Sango are you okay?" I asked a little worried for her mental state.

"Why wouldn't I be?" She smiled. "Let's go. We have a dance floor to ravage."

That brought a smile to my face. We had always done this once a week at the old bar, but now there seemed as if there wasn't the time.

She took my hand and led me to the middle of the dance floor. Her eyes held a glint of amusement, making me kind of scared to follow her in the moves we had practiced so many times.

We twirled across the floor a circle forming around us. I closed my eyes feeling the air move around us and knew exactly how to move next. I didn't even realize I remembered, I just moved.

I opened my eyes when the music stopped and Sango and I were ready to fall over. She was right in my face. I smiled. "Hi…"

She smiled back. "Hi." She moved back slowly, cautious of herself.

I smiled, looking around and getting dizzy. I fell landing hard and not wanting to move. A hand shot out to mine and picked me up off the floor. "Fabulous floor work." Inu's voice whispered delicately.

"I am here as a paying customer. Let me be." I whispered back. His lips touched my head lightly. He moved away then.

"Yes Madame." He said, leaning down and kissing me lightly on the lips. I returned it and we parted before we couldn't be stopped.
