BEEP BEEP BEEP
...went her alarm clock at precisely 7am. She groaned, rolled over, slamming her hand down upon the clock, silencing the rude awaking noise. The room filled with silence, all except the cheerful chirping of the birds outside.
She yawned, rolling over back into her previous position, in hopes of falling back asleep, but failed as the morning sun streamed through the window at her bedside. Rolling onto her stomach, pulling a pillow over her head, she was able to block out the sun.
Now back to the dream... Snuggling deep into the endless amount of baby blue fabric, she returned to dream land... well... sort of. She uffed as a force jumped onto her back.
"Uh... Megu." She moaned, poking her head out from under the covers. She know the cause, fixing her eyes on a young 5 year old girl.
"Morning!" Megumi chirped, smiling down at her mother with the most beautiful pair of golden eyes imaginable. Long, flowing jet black hair, touching down to middle back, silver streaks shining in the morning sun. A smile that could melt the sun.
"Why couldn't you go in and wake up Uncle Souta?" 20 year old, Kagome Higurashi smiled. Megumi climbing off her mothers' back and under the covers.
"Uncle Souta's room smells bad. And Nana told me to because you're more funner to wake up. " She yawned, snuggling into her mother's body, capturing the warmth. Kagome sighed, closing her eyes, wrapping them gently around Megumi.
"I see, and that surly took out alot of your energy." She smirked, taking a deep breath, gently stroking the young girls soft hair. Megumi was one of the most important things she had in life. Had been for the past 6 years. The girls slow, even breathing signaled that she had fallen back asleep. Kagome smirked. That's Megu for ya.
A soft knock raped on the door before it a few inches. "Kagome?" A womens voice spoke, glancing over to the girl laying in the bed.
"Morning, Mom. And thanks for sending in the wake up call." Kagome yawned, pointing to the form lying next to her, indicating someone was sleeping.
"She'd been up for the past hour and was bored. So I insisted she come and wake you and Souta." Ms. Higurashi paused. "Breakfast will be ready in 15." The older women, smiled, before departing the room, closing the door in the process. Kagome groaned.
"I don't wanna get up." She yawned, looking up at the ceiling. She ran her fingers through her hair. She turned her attention down to her daughter, knowing they both had to get up and ready. "Hey, Megu?" Kagome gently shook the girl. She murmured something un-hearable, before opening her eyes. "Time to get up."

"Morning!" Megumi cried, skipping into the kitchen, Kagome close behind.
"Morning, squirt." Souta greeted, ruffling up his nieces hair.
"Mommy!" Megumi whinned, trying to fix her hair. "Uncle Souta messed my hair up!"
"Jerk. Haven't you ever heard of treating kids nicely?" Kagome question, ruffling his hair up.
"She's your kid, why should?" He raised a questioning eyebrow, but soon regretted it, as his sister threw a fork at him, hitting him directly in the forehead.
"She doesn't get it from me." She growled, taking a seat, placing Megu in her lap, fixing her hair with a brush. Megumi stuck her tongue out at her uncle.
Ms. Higurashi sat down a plate full of freshly cooked pancakes in front of the two siblings and granddaughter.
"I still found him pretty awesome." Souta said, changing the topic.
"And he was an arrogant ass that can just vanish off the face of the earth." Kagome grumbled, taking a large bite of her pancake.
"We know, dear." Ms. Higurashi rested a hand on Kagome's shoulder, reassuring her. "He shouldn't have done the selfish thing he did. But you weren't exactly that great yourself, you were only 14."
"Yeah, yeah, I know. But I learned." She finished her breakfast, taking her plate and placing it in the sink. "Highly doubt he did though." She rolled her eyes, helping Megumi down, telling her to go up and grab her backpack.
"I'm catching a ride with ya, sis." Souta arose from the table, taking the strap of his backpack and slinging it over his shoulder
"Whatever happen to driving your own car?" Kagome stopped, half way out the door.
"Mom took my liscences away."
"Next time you'll think twice about skipping school and going to Kyoto, now won't you?" Ms. Higurashi raised a questioning eyebrow to her son.
Souta sighed. "Yeah, Mom."
"I should say no, but get your ass in the car. I gotta be at the studio in half an hour and have Megu at the kindergarden in 10." And as if on que, Megu came running down the stairs, her backpack placed on her shoulders.
"Bye, Nana!" She sang, running out the door.
"Bye, Mom." But siblings bid goodbye, as Kagome shut the door.

"Sorry I'm late. Had to drive Souta to school, and Megu." Kagome apologized, dropping her stuff off by the door.
"Don't worry about. Just got here myself." A women at the age of 25, smiled, looking over some papers. "The little one wouldn't let me hold my breakfast."
"It's only gonna get worse, Sango." Kagome said point out blankly.
"Oh thanks Kag, now I'm really looking forward to the next 5 months." Sango rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her cappichino.
"You should." Kagome handed her a piece of paper. "As promised, I finished."
"Lets see..."
I will not make... the same mistakes that you did... I will not let myself... cause my heart so much misery...
I will not break... the way you did, you fell so hard...
I've learned the hard way... to never let it get that far...
Because of You... I never stray too far from the sidewalk...
Because of You... I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt...
Because of You... I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me...
Because of You... I am afraid
I lose my way... and it's not too long before you point it out...
I cannot cry... because I know that's weakness in your eyes...
I'm forced to fake... a smile, a laugh, every day of my life...
My heart can't possibly break... when it wasn't even whole to start with...
Because of You... I never stray too far from the sidewalk...
Because of You... I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt...
Because of You... I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me...
Because of You... I am afraid
I watched you die... I heard you cry every night in your sleep...
I was so young...
you should have known better than to lean on me...
You never thought of anyone else... you just was your pain...
And now I cry in the middle of the night... for the same damn thing...
Because of You... I never stray too far from the sidewalk...
Because of You... I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt...
Because of You... I try my hardest just to forget everything...
Because of You...
I don't know how to let anyone else in...
Because of You... I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty...
Because of You... I am afraid
Because of You... Because of You...
"Wow. Interesting lyrics." Sango put down the paper, shifting her gaze to Kagome.
"It's different then usual. I put my feelings into it." Kagome sighed, taking a seat. "... I still don't see how he could have just left me."
"What do you thing drove him to?" Sango asked.
"We were both young, irresponsible. I lied to him." She smirked, throwing her hands up into the air. "But young love always hurts in a way."
