Kagome was tired and wanted to relax a little more on her last vacation time. She was happy by herself. “Yes this is the life. To bad mom isn't here.” She said to herself. Then her brother Sota came running along the beach collecting sea shells. Kagome had fallen asleep on her chair when her brother dumped cold sea water on her. She screamed and chased her little brother. That night Kagome's mother had packed her stuff for her next trip to the past. “Here you are dear; all of your stuff is packed.” Her mother said. “Thanks mom.” Kagome took the bag and went to bed. She thought to herself and wondered if she should go back to the fetal time. Well, she did want to see Shippou. She also wanted to see the others but not Inuyasha. He had betrayed her by kissing Kikyo. “Did do I care? Hell no” “I rather be dead than see him with her.” She walked toward her bed and sat down. She looked at the moon and laughed. “It's a new moon that means Inuyasha is human.”

 

The next morning Kagome went to the fetal time to see Shippou and the others but not Inuyasha. “Kagome Kagome”. Shippou squealed with joy. He jumped at her and hugged her. “I'm glad to see too.” She said she placed the bag down and walked towards Kaede's house. Sango and Miroku came out to greet their friend. “How are you Kagome?” Sango asked. “I'm fine thanks” she said as she walked into the house. She saw Kaede sitting by the fire and in the left corner in the dark Inuyasha stood. Kagome ignored him and walked over to Kaede. “Hi Kaede, how are you.” Kagome said happily. “I'm fine child.” She said quietly. Inuyasha stood there and waited for Kagome to talk to him. He was having a bad day but he knew that Kagome could make him feel better. Shippou came in to see Kagome but something didn't seem right. “Huh… what's going on here?” He thought to himself. “Kagome always talks to Inuyasha before saying hi to Kaede.” Kagome got up and head out the door. Inuyasha became puzzled. “What?” “Why didn't she say hi to me?” “She always bugs me and asks me stupid questions.” “But she didn't” “Something must be wrong with her or maybe it's her timing.”

 

That night Kagome was reading a book until Shippou came in and jumped on top of her shoulder. “Kagome can I ask you something?” “Sure Shippou what is it.” Shippou took his time before asking his question. “I better be careful before I ask her.” Shippou swallowed hard then slowly asked. “Why didn't you talk to Inuyasha this morning?” he said slowly. Kagome looked at Shippou with and angry look. “Do you really want to know Shippou?” “Umm…. (Gulp) yes.” Kagome slowly talked. “Shippou this maybe the last time I see you or the other again.” She said. “HUH… b but what for Kagome? Shippou cried. “We need you. I need you. Inuyasha…” “NO” “Inuyasha never needed me. Not now and not ever.” She said with tears rolling down her cheeks. “Inuyasha only needed me for that stupid jewel.” She began to cry. “I was just the shard detector.” “He still is in love with Kikyou.” Now Kagome was crying harder than before.” “Kagome” Shippou said trying to comfort his friend. “I really don't think he really is in love with her.” Kagome stopped crying and angry took over her. “Then I saw him kiss her.” “What?” “What do you mean kissed her? I thought she was gone.“No she is still on this planet and loves Inuyasha just as Inuyasha loves her.” Kagome began to cry again. “I so sorry Shippou but I have to leave now.” Kagome ran out the house and jumped in to the well. Shippou tried to catch up with her but was gone in a flash.
