Kouga: [snickers @ InuYasha]

 

Kagome: [sighs heavily and leans farther into Kouga's embrace] [absent mindedly playing w/ Kouga's tail]

 

Kouga: [smirks] Does Inukorro die in this one?

 

Shadow: No but you get to kick his skinny little ass!

 

Sesshoumaru: [mono toned] Am I in this story?

 

Shadow: [sweat drops] um. . . no! [hided behind Kouga] Save me! He's gonna kill me!

 

Sesshoumaru: Damn straight! I want Kagome next! [glares daggers @ Kouga and InuYasha]

 

Shadow: You'll get her in the next fanfic!

 

Miroku: Will you write any on me and Lady Sango?

 

Sango: [blushes] Houshi-sama!

 

Shadow: Probably. Oh don't worry Sango! I won't put many lemons it that one! . . . Maybe! [smirks]

Betrayal of the Inu Hanyou

 

Ch. 1 The betrayal

 

Kagome felt eyes drilling into the back of her head as she continued to walk down the path to find the rest of the jewel shards that they hadn't gotten from the recently destroyed Naraku. She turned her head slightly, and saw our favorite inu hanyou watching her. InuYasha's amber eye's locked w/ her chocolate brown orbs. A small smile crossed his features, showing some of his fangs off to her. Kagome couldn't help but giggle.

 

“What are you so happy about okaa-san?” Shippou asked his, now adopted, mother. Kagome smiled lovingly to her new son and patted his head.

 

“I'm glad just glad we could defeat Naraku. Five years before, I would have never believed this place existed.” Kagome stole a glance at the silver-haired hanyou, who smirked at her.

 

“Ah yes! What a day, wouldn't you agree my koibito,” Miroku exclaimed, looking at Sango lovingly. Sango blushed but kissed his cheek lightly.

 

“Augh! Could you people please get a room!” InuYasha screamed. Kagome giggled and continued walking, leaving the couple and InuYasha behind. Shippou laughed, and tugged at Kagome's new white and blue miko outfit [A/n: looks like Kikyou's but is blue instead of red]. She looked at his big emerald green eyes and sighed.

 

“You could have asked hun,” she groaned, setting her large backpack on the ground and sitting next to it. Kagome started rummaging through it and found the lolly pop her son wanted. She handed it to Shippou, who happily started to munch on it.

 

“Oie! Kagome! Where are you!?” Kagome could hear InuYasha yell.

 

“Come find me baka!” Kagome giggled.

 

“If I do, I won't be easy on you!” InuYasha played.

 

“Like you could! That's what the `o' word is for!”

 

“You wouldn't!” InuYasha boasted, stepping out of the bushes infront of Kagome. Kagome squeaked and jumped away from his grasp.

 

“Let me have a five minute start!” she giggled. InuYasha smirked and sat on the ground.

 

“Your time started ten seconds ago.” InuYasha arrogantly stated.

 

“You jerk!” Kagome giggled, then took off into the forest. Looking for a great place to hide, she didn't even notice the soul catchers or the two jewel shards coming her way. All she could feel was the care free way she felt just running threw the forest. What she did feel was when a pair of long tan arms wrapped themselves around Kagome's petite waist.

 

“Darn, you found me InuYasha! That's not fair!” Kagome pouted, then noticed the tugging feeling of the jewel shards near by. She looked down and saw tan legs with fur-covered calves and the glow of a pure jewel underneath them.

 

“Why would you confuse me with that inukorro Kagome?” that oogami youkai panted in her ear, sending a weird sensation threw her body. It took everything in her just to keep from moaning out against Kouga's hot breath.

 

“Oh, h-hey Kouga. Sorry. Thought you were InuYasha. You haven't seen him have you?” Kagome sighed. Kouga's arms tightened on her waist slightly and she could feel and hear the rumbling of Kouga's growls against her back.

 

“The inukorro is with a women that smells of death and grave yard soil. I met up with him a few minutes back.” Kouga replied, rubbing his head against her cheek [A/n: Much like a koinu does to their master when they want to be petted. . . Kouga: I AM NOT A DOG!! Kohara: Shut it or I'll turn this into a Inu/Kag fanfic! *glares daggers @ Kouga* Both: *finally notices audience staring @ them* Oops! Back to the story] and purred against her back. Kagome's breath hitched in her throat.

 

`He's with Kikyou!? Oh no! I forgot she was still alive! I'm so stupid for believing he loved me!' Kagome screamed in her head.

 

“Oh. Okay, well, I guess I should be going now Kouga. Thanks for informing me.” Kagome got out of Kouga's warm embrace and headed back to their camp that was sure to have ben set up by now. Tears started to well up in Kagome's chocolate eyes as she made her way threw the thick trees.

 

“I'll come back with you Kagome. I've got nothing better to do anyway. Mind if I join you?” Kouga asked eagerly. Kagome turned around to him and smiled gratefully. She wiped her eyes with her white sleeve and grabbed a hold of Kouga's arm.

 

`Maybe this won't be so bad. . .' Kagome thought to herself. She looked up and saw Kouga looking at her with his ocean blue orbs. He smirked his trademark smirk and laid his head on hers. Kagome blushed slightly and stopped. The familiar tug of a jewel shard was pulling her further into the woods where most demons hide. Kouga looked at her and smiled warmly.

 

“Jewel shard?” he asked softly. Kagome nodded and pointed deeper into the forest. Kouga nodded and picked her up and gently set her on his back. Kagome was slightly surprised by the gesture but finally made herself comfortable on Kouga's back, noting that she could wrap her legs tighter around Kouga's waist then InuYasha's.

 

They sped off in Kouga's one-of-a-kind tornado twords the shard.

 

“There! Turn left here! It's straight ahead now!” Kagome called in Kouga's ear. He shook his head and ran faster then before.

 

Kouga burst threw the bushes and landed softly, gently sliding Kagome off of his back. She notched an arrow onto her bow string and let the arrow go flying into the tree's. Kouga gave her a skeptical look, then smelt a weasel demon, bounding twords them, slowly disintegrating from Kagome's purifying arrow. The oogami youkai smirked and patted her shoulder softly.

 

“You've done well Kagome!” he said, smiling like a mad man. Suddenly, InuYasha burst threw the tree's infront of them with Kikyou on his back. Amber orbs met blazing chocolate.

 

“Kagome! What the hell are you doing with that mangy oogami youkai!” the hanyou yelled, letting Kikyou slid off of his back. Her cold eyes landed on Kagome as she continued to argue with InuYasha.

 

“I came here with Kouga because you went to find Kikyou and forgot all about me! Fine! I know when I'm not wanted! I'll just go home and never return to this era because you have your darling KIKYOU!” Kagome screamed. She turned on her heels and stomped away. InuYasha glared after her and turned to Kikyou.

 

“Let's go, mate. We don't need this reincarnated bitch breathing up all of our pure air!” InuYasha stated gruffly, glaring at the young miko evilly. Kikyou smiled triumphantly and followed her hanyou. Kouga watched them go and ran after Kagome.

 

Kagome was under a tree, crying her eyes out because she lost the one thing that made her life complete. Kouga kneeled next to her sobbing form and wrapped his strong arms around her shoulders.

 

“Shh. . . Come on Kagome. You don't need him anymore! He's just a worthless hanyou.” Kouga cooed.

 

Kagome looked up at him with her tear streaked face and sniffed loudly, “But that doesn't change how I feel about him. S-Sometimes I just want Kikyou to die but I know I shouldn't think like that. Oh Kouga! Your the only one I can turn to right now! I need you to take me to the well after I say my goodbye's to everyone.” Kagome raised her sorrow-filled brown eyes to meet his navy blue orbs.

 

“Anything for you, love. Anything.” Kouga whispered, hugging Kagome too his chest. Kagome smiled against his chest armor and wrapped her arms around his waist. Kouga's tail flicked. And before Kouga could act, the miko had shove him over and grabbed a hold of it and was running her finger's threw the silky fur.

 

“What the hell,” Kouga asked. Kagome looked at him and beamed.

 

“Is it real?” she whispered. Kouga smirked at her and shook his head yes. His tail wrapped around her arm. Kagome squeaked and rubbed her face against it.

 

“It's soo soft and warm! Like a fluffy pillow!” she giggled, running her fingers threw it again. Kouga's smirk grew.

 

“Kagome.” he whispered, leaning up, “You do know that's attached to my rear.” Kagome's eyes widened to saucers as she dropped his tail and fell backwards, trying to get away from it. Kouga laughed at her and shook his head.

“That wasn't funny Kouga! You could have at least told me before I started playing with it!” Kagome grumbled, sitting on the heels of her shoes. A small blush crossed her cheeks as she remembered rubbing her face against it.

 

Kouga continued to laugh at Kagome's naiveness. He noticed Kagome's glares and quieted down. Some what.

 

“I thought you knew!” Kouga lied. He would never tell her that her strokes were heaven to him. Well, not until they were mates of course. Kagome sighed and stood up.

 

“Lets head back to camp. I need to tell everyone that I'm leaving for good. . . Shippou's going to be devistated. And I just recently adopted him too. . . Damn. . .” Kagome looked at the ground and walked to camp, forgetting all about Kouga's presence.

 

`She's leaving for good? Where will she go? What will happen to my Kagome?' Kouga thought. He watched Kagome move past a bush and disappear from his line of sight. `No, she won't leave me again! InuYasha broke her heart so I need to pick up the pieces. Yah! I'll stay with Kagome until she completly forgets about that piece of inukorro. . .' Kouga ran off after her and came to the camp. Kagome was leaning over her giant yellow bag, rummaging threw it.

 

“No, that's not it. . . How the crap did this get in here? A porno magazine?” Kagome turned to the houshi. Miroku smiled innocently and snatched the mag from her hand.

 

“My word Kagome! I never new you liked this sort of thing. . .” Miroku stated, looking threw the magazine with intrest. Kagome sighed and leaned back on a log. Her chocolate eyes landed on Kouga and sparkled.

 

“Come sit with me Kouga! I'm gonna need your help,” her eyes fell and became teary. Kouga walked quickly to her side and sat crossed legged.

 

“Guys,” Kagome looked at her friends, who's attention was now drawn to her. Miroku put the porno magazine under his butt, and looked at the miko. “I'm going home and never coming back because of that baka InuYasha. . .” Kagome looked at the ground as tears fell freely from her brown eyes. Kouga wrapped his arms around her sobbing form and whispered sweet nothings into her ear. Kouga froze. The stench of dog filled his sensitive nose.

 

“Why are you doing with that mangy wolf?! And hurry up! We ain't got all day!” InuYasha came from the tree next to Kagome, his amber eyes looking at her frail form. His heart skipped a beat.

 

`Why is Kagome crying? What did Kouga do this time!' InuYasha thought to himself. His growl echoed off the forest walls. Kagome gasped and hugged Kouga closer to her body.

 

“Just leave me alone InuYasha! Just leave me alone and go to Kikyou!” Kagome stood up and grabbed her bag. Her fierce brown eyes lock with worried amber. “I'm going home and never coming back! I hope you are happy with your new mate!” Kagome wrapped her hand around the almost-complete Shikon no Tama and threw it at InuYasha, who wrapped his hand around the jewel, then dropped it. Realization hit him hard.

 

`Going home for-forever? Why?!. . .'

 

`I wouldn't know. Maybe she saw us with Kikyou together? Some things up!'

 

`But I was telling Kikyou that I love Kagome? After that, she screamed and ran away. Kagome can't go home!'

 

`Wait! She's going home! Stop her!' InuYasha's inner self screamed at him.

 

“Kagome wait!” InuYasha called after the miko, running into the forest. The houshi looked at the taijiya and sighed.

 

“Well now we have a vacation.” Shippou's emerald eyes widened and he started to cry.

 

“Kagome's never coming back! Why do all of my parents leave me?!” soft tears rolled down his cheeks. Just then, Kouga came back and scooped up Shippou and took off into the woods again.

 

“What was that all about?” Sango asked Miroku. The houshi shrugged his shoulders and closed his violet eyes.

 

With Kagome

 

“Oh I wish Kouga would just hurry up! I want to take Shippou to the other side with me. . . I hope my plan works out. . . Maybe Kouga can come with me!” a small smile crossed Kagome's lips.

 

“Oie! Why would you want that flea-bitten wolf with you? Ain't I better!” a voice asked.

 

Kagome gasped, “InuYasha?! What the hell do you want!” Kagome looked at InuYasha's golden-amber orbs and glared.

 

“Kagome, why are you mad at me? Stay with me! I-”

 

“Don't say it! You don't me it! You see me as another jewel detector, another thing in your path to becoming full inu youkai! You ass whip! You don't care about me! You never cared about me!” hot tears rolled down the young miko's cheeks. InuYasha's dog ears [A/n: AWW! *rubs Inu's ears tenderly* InuYasha: *purring* Kagome: *rubbing on Kouga's tail* Kouga: *purring*] twitched and fell.

 

“Kagome, I'm not lying! I really do love you! I told Kikyou that I loved you and not her!”

 

Kagome looked at InuYasha, before standing up and walking past him, “You lie! How can you lie to me in my face!”

 

Kouga burst threw the trees, with Shippou nestled in his arms, clinging for dear life. Shippou's emerald eyes landed on Kagome as a huge grin plastered itself on his face.

 

“Kagome!” the kawaii kitsune yelled, leaping into her open arms. Kagome looked into Kouga's ocean eyes and smiled.

 

“Let's go Kouga. I don't want to smell dog anymore,” and with that said, climbed onto his back and rode on him to the well.

 

InuYasha's spirit fell, shattering into millions off little pieces. “Well, well, well, it seams the miko has left you InuYasha. Defenseless as I might add, because without her, you can't fight,” a cold voice came from behind the silver-haired hanyou.
