Inuyasha was waiting for the girl to come back through the well. He had to some how get close to her for his plan to work. He was angry while he waited because he had had an argument with Shippo.

 

“Why that self righteous little punk, he doesn't know what he's talking about!”

 

He yelled out, sure that Shippo was close enough to hear his shouts.

 

“You ungrateful runt, that's what you are I hope you know!”

 

Than more to himself he continued to say.

 

“I deserve this, she's only human after all, who cares how she feels, she's my enemy.”

 

Soon he felt the waves of time wash over him and caught her scent. Why didn't he notice it before, it was sweet like Kagome's but laced with something else, it wasn't exactly Kagome's scent, but it was close.

 

She had climbed up the well and was taken by surprise to see Inuyasha standing about five feet away from the well.

 

“Well, it's about damn time you returned. I was almost thinking you wouldn't come back.”

 

Hotaru couldn't say anything; she was scared why was this male youkai bothering her?

“Why you ungrateful human don't tell me you forgot me already, I'm Inuyasha, you know the one who bandaged your wrist when you first came through that damn well.” He stood there with his arms crossed over his chest and a scowl on his face.

 

“Yeah, I remember, you weren't too hospitable toward me then either, so why are you here?” Hotaru said on the defensive.

 

They were quiet for a moment when her eyes got big.

 

“You're here to avenge that other youkai with eyes like yours aren't you?”

Inuyasha growled, yes this girl did attack his brother and nearly purified him. He should kill her and be done with it, but no, he had a mission and so he must fulfill it.

 

“There's nothing to avenge, your pathetic powers couldn't purify my brother.”

 

They both stood silent again before Inuyasha broke that mood.

 

“Besides, my brother Sesshomaru if he wanted to kill you, you would be dead, you don't stand a chance with the likes of him or myself.”

 

Hotaru snorted and got angry at his words; he was being so rude and arrogant. She was tired of people always underestimating her. Making her feel inferior.

 

`Die freak, your not wanted.' Said the Fuu in her memory. Hotaru scowled and looked him squarely in the eye challenging him. She was no longer in present day Tokyo. She was in the past where she was treated like royalty from the people in the village, here she was popular and had friends. Not as the freak they thought of her in her own time.

 

“Whatever, it would only take a mere thought to have killed him or you now.”

 

“Than do it.”

 

“If I did you wouldn't even have time to regret it.”

“Feh, all talk wench.”

 

“I am not a wench, my name is Hotaru. Are you intelligent enough to repeat that asshole!”

 

“I wouldn't waste my breath. Look wench, my brother wishes to speak to you. Since you wouldn't let him talk to you earlier he sent me here to retrieve your foul smelling ass.”

 

“Excuse me! I'm not going anywhere with you, as if! You're a filthy pig, a useless waste of space, a freak, look at you, those ears on the top of your head, you couldn't even look like a normal youkai with those elfy ears, you don't deserve to live here among us, you need to go back to where you came from.”

 

Memories started to fill Inuyasha's head of when he was a hanyou and fire formed in his golden eyes. He clenched his fist and began to move toward her.

 

However, Hotaru flinched as soon as it all escaped her velvety pink lips, didn't Fuu and those other people say the same about her. Immediately she felt remorseful, it wasn't like her to say something like that to anyone, in fact she really had no idea why it came out of her mouth in the first place.

 

As he approached to beat the snot out of her she lowered her head in submission and quietly apologized.

 

“What?” Said an astonished and confused Inuyasha.

 

“I'm sorry, I was way out of line. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. You're not a freak…or anything else I said…It's just that…sigh…I'm the one who's a freak. I should be the one erased from existence.”

Inuyasha blinked several times in confusion. His anger ebbing away he stood in front of her. She continued speaking aloud but it was not really to him; more to herself.

 

“I guess that is why I am able to go down the well and end up here. I don't belong where I came from. I am a freak. They were right, they were all right. I've been erased except for the times I'll go back home...if I go home.”

 

She turned around and started to walk away from him again apologizing for her behavior. Tears on the verge of slipping from her eyes she walked toward the one place that gave her piece of mind. The sacred tree.

 

Inuyasha stood there stupidly watching when Shippo came up behind him.

 

“Inuyasha why does she think she's a freak?”

 

“I don't know, maybe she was bluffing and use that as a way to get herself out of an ass whipping.” He said with a gruff.

 

“I don't think she was bluffing Inuyasha.”

 

“You know what runt mind your own damn business.”

~Present day Tokyo~

 

“Please no, help me some one, she's going to kill me, we have to kill her, she's not human!!!”

 

“Calm down and tell me who's going to kill you?”

 

“The Freak, she's a freak!”

 

“Oh, you mean Hotaru…tell me Fuu why do you think she's not human?” Said the psychologist with a serious voice.

 

The teenage girl lay there in her bed, pale with big black eyes and her black hair unkempt and unwashed. Her thin white hospital gown sticking to her in her sweaty filth.

 

Scared eyes looked up at the doctor and she stared past him as if seeing again the horror that grabbed her by her throat.

 

“She showed her true image to me…oh god doctor…I'm not insane…the entire school saw her…”

 

“What did the entire school see Fuu?”

 

“The dragon beast…with its purple flames…she's the devil…I'm telling you…she's out for me…you have to help me!”

 

“That's why you're here. We're all going to help you ok.”

 

The doctor scribbled some things in his pad and stood up. He pulled the nurse to the side and said a couple of things to her.

 

“Yes doctor.”

 

Fuu looked at them then she began to shake herself fiercely looking for an escape she had to try and free herself. It had been this way now for god only knew how long what could have been two days seemed like two years.

 

“NO NOT AGAIN NO! DON'T GIVE ME THE DRUGS I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE! THEY WILL COME”

 

The nurse went and called the orderlies to help restrain the girl in her bed and she fought even harder though it was of no use. As they held her down and refastened the straps, the nurse administered the needle in her arm.

 

“You poor girl, this will help you sleep. We'll clean you up, that will help you feel better.” The nurse smiled down at her with pity.

 

“No, you don't…you…not understand…I need to get…out…”

 

The girl was getting drowsy fast a frown twisted on her pale oval face. The nurse left some instructions to the orderly and left the room.

 

“Hey, it's my turn to go first this time.”

 

Said orderly number one the other man smiled as he stood by the door.

 

“Make it quick, remember, don't go to rough on her, last time I had to make up some fucking lie, I don't feel like losing my job you hear me?”

 

“Yeah yeah just keep your eyes on the fucking door.”

 

The first man started to run his hands up her firm thigh. Fuu bit her lips and shut her eyes tight praying that the drug would hurry and take effect.

 

“God, you are a pretty little thing.”

 

His stubby finger poked at her dry nether lips.

 

“No..please…stop…”

 

“Aw don't be like that, I like you, did you know you're the prettiest thing in this building. Those smokey black eyes and ebony hair…your tight cunny.”

 

The man licked his lips in anticipation while the other orderly had to put in.

 

“Hey, her ass is real nice too, damn hurry up!”

 

“I'll try.” And they both laughed lustfully.

 

As the two men took their turns with her, tears dripped from her eyes even in her drug induced sleep.
